It is specifically aimed at autistic children, and as they can't decide themselves to see doctors, take medicine etc., they basically are pretty much helpless. Sure, there are both adults as well as children who are autistic, but need neither help nor medication, but it's best to clarify that as soon as possible - and that's what the ad says.

this can be used with most mental disabilities as well (I have ADHD, OCD, and Anxiety, and i can relate, if you treat us like outcast, we feel like outcast, but if you treat us like nothing is wrong, it gets worse. It might be difficult to find but there is middle ground, I really wish everyone knew where the middle ground was.

This is so very true. I had to fight 12 years to get my daughter diagnosed because her doctor kept saying that her symptoms were part of her brain disorder. Come to find out 28 years later after studying patients who have her brain disorder that if you have this specific disorder, you also have autism. Something we had to fight tooth and nail to get diagnosed decades ago.
