This Twitter Page Is Dedicated To Showing The Truth Of What Is Currently Happening In Ukraine With Memes And Here Are 40 Of The Best Ones
When Russia had just invaded Ukraine, everyone was terrified and in disbelief that, after trying so hard to maintain peace on the Old Continent when the Second World War ended, an armed conflict would arise once again.
However, we quickly snapped out of it and started helping Ukraine every way we could and started to see that this Eastern European nation won’t surrender without a fight. As the days went on and we realized that this might take a while, we had to find ways to cope with the frightening reality.
One of those ways is through humor and people on the internet did what they do the best and started creating memes. Mostly supporting Ukraine and showing how evil Putin is. Even the state of Ukraine shared memes on their Twitter, which shows how important it is to look at things in a sarcastic view to maintain sanity.

The Twitter page Ukrainian Memes Forces was created in February of this year, the month when Russia’s invasion started. It is dedicated solely to memes about the invasion, the involved countries, the helping countries and other events related to the situation.
It now has over 214k followers and it just shows how important it is to look at things in a sarcastic or ironic view to maintain sanity. Even the state of Ukraine shared memes on their Twitter reflecting what awesome people Ukrainians are.
yep...history tells us... and no ones listening.. or willing to realize how serious this move by the terrorist Putin really is !
This war is historical, I wonder what they are going to call it in the future when kids are being taught about it in school
Actually Daria, sanctions have crippled Russia’s economy, silly блыат
This is why you should respect all of our soldiers and veterans who protected us to give us a easy life.
Er, american war veterans are victims of oil company greed. They need to be given compassion and a basic income, and not be sent to fight for oil again.

As a German I am ashamed at the slow approach of my government when it comes to the delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine. We of all people should know the consequences of letting a deranged psychopath invade other countries. I wish Germany would be more like Estonia...
As a Brit, I think you have no need of shame. We understand that often the people's will is at odds with their respective governments.
Load More Replies...So does Poland. We accepted nearly 4mln refugees, a great number of them in our homes. The army sent our equipment to Ukraine. We forgot and forgave the atrocities Polish nation suffered from the Ukrainian before and during the WWII. This seems the most important thing. I am proud of my nation, we know what it means to fight for freedom and what it means to suffer from the Russians
thank you for every Ukrainian you've hosted and for all the support we receive from your country!

I am an Australian. We donate, what, nearly 6 billion dollars that go towards humanitarian aids a year. Right now, what have we done? 60 million dollars? Really? Ukraine is literally the only thing that is holding up the peace and safety of the entire world. Have some common sense people
Memes help to boost morale and process the horrible things we are witnessing and Jennifer Grygiel, an associate professor of communications at Syracuse University who specializes in social media and memes, says, “That's how warfare is conducted in the information space. It's about narratives and public belief.”
Instead of propaganda posters and letters people send to their loved ones, we are now creating the narrative and how we fight against misinformation coming from Russia. Social media plays an interesting role during this invasion because never before have we seen live updates and soldiers simply posting videos from the war zone.
Tbh, as an American myself, I would suggest an M249 SAW Light Machine Gun (yes I understand the reference you made)
Load More Replies...That's actually GOOD. For each gun we give to Ukraine, that's one less potential school shooting. Take 'em all!
Actually, it doesn't make a difference. The weapons being sent are military, not civilian. The guns are not available to the general population. Law enforcement and some collectors would be the only non-military with access to them.
Load More Replies...I wish my country would do more for Ukraine. I'm from Germany.
Pressure your government to do more! Give to humanitarian aid groups if you're able! A single snowflake may not amount to much but many snowflakes together create an avalanche.
Load More Replies...TBF I'm pretty sure Poland has been arming them as well as sending humanitarian aid.
Hugs are important too. Some neighboring countries might not have enough weapons to give away, but are taking in thousands and millions of Ukranian people.
Europeans countries have given weapons to Ukraine as well. As for those asking why they don't send their armies, think about how World War I started, how World War II started.
Americans, it's time to put all of our excessive guns to use! The poo tin is going down to Tartarus if I have any say in how this is going to end up.
Putin’s biggest mistake was invading Ukraine. Surprisingly, all of his past invasions, such as Georgia, were very carefully planned out and successful. Putin is not a fool, he is a sadist but he is no fool.
Haha, I really like this one. The more he tries to crush them the more resistance springs up. It's beautiful.
We Polish people could finally be proud of our president. That was a nice moment
Back in the ‘90s my Aunt and Uncle visited Europe. Of all the countries they went too they loved Poland the most because of its people. My Aunt said they are the nicest, warmest among Europeans.

Load More Replies...Poland is doing good in this situation, but their actual country is having a lot of human rights issues such as accepted homophobia.
Even Duda is not a fascist, "just" an ultra-conservatist (not a good thing, too, but not the same). As for Zelensky? A Jewish man with moderate, liberal and somewhat even left-leaning political program? Dude, you're either seriously detached or insincere. The only fascist in this war is Putin.
Load More Replies...Man, if you look deeply into history of each country, you'll see how much s**t was going on in most of them at different times, inside these countries and with their neighbours. I don't know how you can live in the modern world if mentally you still look at the events of 16th century and think they should define how we live today. We, Ukrainians, had probably not the best relations with Poland, but I'm so happy both Ukrainians and Polish people moved past that and decided to build good relationship now!
Load More Replies...It also makes the war seem a lot closer to us and allows us to be more compassionate towards the people there as we learn about the horrible things done there not just from stories, but by actually seeing them.
On the other hand, Ellie Mae O'Hagan says that it can have an opposite effect and make the news feel unreal when they are seen through a filter on Instagram, becoming "an exaggerated version of reality which ultimately blurs the boundaries between reality and simulation altogether."

Load More Replies...Hahahhaha I don’t really like Biden or Putin but this is full respect for Biden!
Senile kleptocrat Biden probably thought he was talking into a TV remote. Who's the 'joke' on?
TF are you talking about? The US has sent roughly $54 billion to Ukraine since the invasion began, not to mention weapons and imposing sanctions on Russia. In short, the US has done everything it can, without triggering Putin to start WW 3. What else should he be doing??

Load More Replies...Humor might also create distance between us and the problem we are facing, but laughter and sarcasm are actually often used as defense mechanisms; according to Claire Brummell, an expert on human behavior, dark humor can make us relax more and connect with others going through the same trauma.
Memes are a special genre on social media that often uses dark humor. They have proven to be unifying and so powerful that a Canadian man by the name of Christian Borys thought it was a good idea to stamp them on a t-shirt, specifically the one of Virgin holding an antitank missile, to make some money that he could donate to help Ukrainian orphans.
When it was clear that Russia was not just training at the border with Ukraine, the sales of the t-shirts went up to $170,000 a day. The creator of the idea told The New York Times, “The internet speaks in memes and it just became this crazy, viral sensation. I think it’s because people were looking for a symbol of support, a way to support Ukraine, because they saw the whole injustice of everything.”
This is why I don't understand when people are afraid of a WW3 if we don't lower sanctions to Russia - this is where we headed anyways if we don't take massive action against Russia NOW!
So uh, only by starting WW3 can we prevent WW3? Sorry, but I'd rather take my chances with the current approach.
Load More Replies...I'm 3 days late but I have to post this. The person I'm most disappointed about suggesting Ukraine give up land and appease Russia is Henry Kissinger. This man knows better from deeply personal experience. As a Jewish German child, his family fled towards America the day after Hitler invaded Austria. They landed and went through immigration on Sept 6, 1938 - the day Chamberlain signed the treaty with Germany and announced it would be peace in our time. He "invented the idea of "legitimacy" in his PhD dissertation saying the immorality or illegality of international activities no longer mattered if the international community recognized the aggressor's gains and encouraged them to do more. During Vietnam, as Sec of State, ((I am not supporting the US involvement in Vietnam - just using his words against him) he refused to give Northern Vietnam land concessions because he knew they would not stop with those.
Yes, because everyone there, including kids, wanted that war, right? So let's kill them all
Load More Replies...It’s unfair that we are targeting the Russian generals as much as Putin. Don’t think they are doing this without being lied to, I have seen Russian news and the soldiers, citizens even the generals are being lied to.
Maybe, but history shows that generals and soldiers at war are held accountable for their actions, no matter how deranged their leader might be.

They go to the hell of hell. Straight there, saved them a seat next to hitler. Stalin says hi
Memes are not just funny pictures anymore. They are their own culture on the internet, a way of communication, a way to express your opinions through illustrations and a means to show your creativity by creating something new out of content that is there for you to use.
Do you agree that looking through memes is a good way to relax and disconnect from the world even though they often touch on very heavy topics? Do you feel that memes about Ukraine help you cope with the stress of a war happening so close? Let us know your thoughts and also don’t forget to upvote the memes to show us which ones you agree with the most.
And also, Слава Україні!
You do know those aren’t evil robots dying in battle, they are tricked and deceived Russian soldiers, good people, who are dying? Putin lies to them just like he lies to the rest of the world.
They're still shelling cities and shooting civilians. Frankly they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory, exept the ones that are refusing to fight
Load More Replies...Military losses includes things (tanks, and guns...) as well as people.
vs old people and children. Many of those good people soldiers are committing atrocities.
Sad to say they're basically conscripting kids to fight. Since Putin hasn't declared actual war they're not being called conscripts but that's essentially what they are. Kids, heads pumped full of lies and Russian 'superiority' propaganda. They already facing generation affecting levels of casualties. Russia will be extremely weak by the end of this and frankly if anyone has a mind to, could be easily invaded and taken.
Does jumping up and down, getting a picture of Putin on my phone and sticking my tongue out at him a feeling of power? If it is then yes that is 💯 % true
No. Just Russian military that are attacking them.

I understand the sentiment, but for UN peacekeepers to become involved, a unanimous resolution needs to be passed at the security council, one which Russia is a member
Any member of the Security Council can veto pretty much anything by claiming it relates to security and it doesn't happen. 5 countries (US, Russia, China, UK, and France) are permanent members and 10 other countries serve 2 year terms. Its usually the main 5 messing thing up not always. For instance, Rwanda was on the council during the Tutsi massacres and blocked almost all actions, including humanitarian ones, because of it. Tunisia blocked some things regarding COVID because they were on the council for 20-21. The way the UN charter is written, the big 5 can block any attempt to remove their stranglehold by the overall body voting to reform the rules involving them. We pretty much need to start from scratch on the big boys will never allow that to happen. US, China, and Russia will never give the international community a way to easily stop their military actions.
Load More Replies...This is a really powerful picture. Reminds me of the true lives of the fabulous killjoys comic issue one- a panel that was a sign that said “Reclaimed: future site if something better” surrounded by a bunch of BLI body bags- idk it’s just very dystopian
The UN, but NATO and EU as well, should be recreated in ways that can exclude other states and no longer veto. IMHO, all three have shown how pointless they become during these last months. Russia and others blocking UN resolutions, Turkey blocking Sweden and Finland from becoming NATO members, Hungary stopping EU sanctions. They need to rethink or even recreate these organizations with a different set of rules.
Like someone above said, Russia is a permanent member and has the power of veto. UN's hands are tied unless they find some way to kick Russia out

I am flabbergasted by stupidity and absolute craze of our "high ranked" politicians and their propaganda. The rift between these boot-lickers and common people is enormous. Damn.
I'd like to remind people to be mad at Putin, not the Russian people, as many of them (if they even know what is happening) would not support him.
I'm a russian and while I agree with you (most of us are against war or passive and confused), but still, it's okay to be mad and if it would help to raise better sanctions and help to the ukraine - and to stop the war earlier, I'm for it. It has to end :(

My herritage is Russian. I am very, very much a Russophobe these days. F#^$ you Putin!
It was the meme from a couple years ago, African funeral dance or something like that. Those guys would dance while carrying a coffin or just while at a funeral with this song playing which gets stuck in your head. So people would make video compilations of stuff you might see on Reddit's Win Stupid Prizes or One Second Before Disaster, and once someone was about to get hurt they'd cut back to the funeral guys to signify that they just made a really bad decision.

I've always wondered if a big John Deere could whip a tank in a drag battle. A big one like we have here.
A JD R9 540 weighs 45,000lbs, while a T-72 weighs 91,000 lbs. Any tractor-pull style shootout would probably go to the tank, though specific soil conditions would probably be the deciding factor.

Load More Replies...Tbh, Australia doesn't need to fear an imminent invasion by Russia as much as European countries do. Even more so if you have deprived your own military in the last decades of just about everything and now need to re-equip your own armed forces in addition to supplying the brave Ukrainians with heavy weapons that you don't have at your disposal in the first place.
That's a point. Germany's military would barely capable of defending germany
Load More Replies...My understanding which is limited, is that the German Constitution prohibits delivering weapons to an active conflict zone thus them become becoming involved in the conflict and it was just recently ok'd to deliver the German Tanks and train the Ukrainian crews in Poland.
I think after this war is done and Ukraine wins I hope Russia knows to not mess with them again!
Germany has foolishly opted to run itself on Russian oil and gas. This is the reason. Should have used it's engineering skills to develop safer nuclear power options, instead of knee jerk shutting all their stations after Fukushima..

You missed the implication. The main reason Putin attacked Ukraine (according to him) was to stop NATO's expansion to the East ('fighting nazis' claim came after). What he accomplished was the opposite. Two countries that would never apply for a NATO membership did exactly that.

I recently purchased a crazy good priced used pet stroller on FB marketplace and the only reason I got it was because I had a Ukraine flag on my FB profile (and sunflowers as the header image). The lady held this stroller for me for hours until I picked it up. She is from the Ukrane and adopted 2 dogs from her friend in her hometown (who runs an animal shelter there). She said it touched her that people haven't forgotten and that's why she gave me a chance. She told me a lot about what is going on there (Russians stealing grains from defeated cities and horrible rape crimes) and assured me that my money will be used to be sent back to her hometown. Keep supporting Ukraine guys, every tiny ounce of support is appreciated, even a flag on a profile photo.
The power of propaganda. Create a simple black and white narrative and tell the population who the bad guy is, sit back and let them whip themselves into a frenzy demanding action be taken against the person/group you wanted to attack. Roll on WW3.

Then he continues, saying he checked his colleagues and no one moved. They said it was a Ukrainian plane - they recognized the sound. My husband also downloaded an app called "Air Alert Ukraine" and it didn't go off when the plane was there. I'm actually panicking and sending lots of "OMG" until I remember he's IN Ukraine. My first thought when he said they didn't move was to be sure no shadows would pass the windows and tell someone was there. Worst 3 minutes of my life. He says there was a Russian strike ~400km from where they are. It hit a railroad and a train convoy carrying weapons. 3 dead, dozens injured. Then he says he's tired and has to go to bed - Darn time zones. I can't wait for him to get back home. It's been almost 6 weeks.
