I don't know, i'm french, we are personally more into headbutts (Amoros, Zidane, Assou-Ekotto...) but a grabbed shirt is a really common move in football and Saka touched the ball with his left hand so the gesture to stop him was pretty legit, shitty maybe, but legit. It's football, not ballet (i like both but it's different).

I disagree with you but I am glad that you are the first person on here to speak a little sense about English football; it is a minority. In England football is being reclaimed as a family game following years of hooliganism and I am proud of that progress, but still ashamed of our history. That's why when everyone on here is slating England and it's supporters it hurts. Some idiots let us down but please let's keep some perspective. What you are saying is based on the same principles as discrimination. You 'despise' football and the 'mob mentality it creates, full of racism and hatred, ignorance and violence'. You could level the same accusations at the BLM movement - rioting, looting, hatred and ignorance. Do you hate black people because of that? Suddenly everything changes, I mean everyone was cheering every member of the England team on - including players Sancho, Rashford and Saka, up until those crucial final moments. I understand the disappointment in losing, but to then go and abuse these people who tried their best and got us to our first final in decades to begin with? It's disgusting and unacceptable. You want proof of this racist abuse against the players? It's been all over the news for gods sake. And the worst part is that the few idiots are what gives every England fan, and hell, even England as a country itself, an incredibly bad name. I'm not discriminating against supporters - just the ones who are idiot racists, who deserve being called out for their actions.

Anyone who breaks the law should be brought to book - particularly racists. If there's a burglary near a football ground do you condemn English supporters as thieves? Honestly, no idea what this argument is. Possibly you've interacted with one of my alters. xP (DID is a pain sometimes) but to answer you, when the fans making the disgusting racist comments are confirmed to be England fans (and they're proud to say so e_e ) then yes, you can condemn those fans. There were more than just four people doing it. And Football fans in general can be known for "hooligan" behavior. People get themselves too excited full of booze and then violence ensues - not just for those attending at pubs/stadiums, but even for those at home. Domestic violence can, in some cases, be linked to the outcome of football matches, after all, abuse rose by a shocking 38% in England after the England world cup loss a couple years back.

I saw those stats about domestic violence being linked to the games and it's shocking and disgusting. I agree that there is a minority who tick all of the stereotypical boxes but on the whole English fans are well-behaved these days. I just get triggered when people make blanket statements about us fans. It's not like it used to be and most clubs are proud to be inclusive and family friendly. Unfortunately, there will always be idiots but you probably have more chance of encountering them on the train than at the stadium.

It is nice that football can unite a group of people the way it does, and heck, some of the chants they come up with can be great when it's all in jest, but it's as you said, there's always those idiots who take everything too far, especially with the bigger matches like the world cup or euros, it does give us a bad image, and I despise that. :P

Nope. The football has nothing to do with representing the Queen. Yes they’re royal, but William was there in his capacity as FA President. So suits it is. And I’m not guessing, a close friend works at Windsor Castle - they can’t and don’t tell you much, but George wanted to dress like his dad. Who would wear a suit as for him it was a formal event....as FA President.
