The stereotypical dad is not always the most modern and fashionable guy around town. His dress sense has deteriorated, and his physique has descended into a "dad bod," along with a beer belly to boot. But as with all stereotypes, this isn't really how all fathers look. Though it's often unlikely that they'll be spotted dressed exactly like their kids.
But what happens when they do swap their daily attire for something a bit more, err, cool? A couple of dads were brave enough to try it out and the results are both wholesome and hilarious. It's part of a viral TikTok trend that sees kids "Turning My Dad Into Me."
Bored Panda has compiled a list of the most epic ones out there, and it might be the best thing you see online all day. Keep scrolling to see some dads going from mowing the lawn to model material faster than you can say “mid-life crisis.” And don't forget to upvote your favorites!

Don't knock it until you try it. That's the message some of these kids might be giving to their fathers in this viral TikTok trend that is simply pure internet gold.
One moment, you’re looking at a middle-aged man who has had the same haircut for decades. The next, he’s in streetwear, jewelry, and the latest Nike sneakers — striking a pose like he’s auditioning for an A$AP Rocky video.
These kids aren't throwing shade at their dads. But rather, quite the opposite. The challenge shows how fashion can be a form of bonding. For many TikTokers, it’s a chance to connect with their dads in a different way, share laughs, and show Daddy that, "Yo, you can look cool — even if you don’t know what 'drip' means."
It’s not that some dads are deliberately uncool, but let's just say their fashion is frozen in time. And these GenZ-ers refuse to leave it there. They're not going to allow their dads to get stuck in a look from the 90s, wearing their comfy grilling or gardening shirt day in and day out.
Then of course, there are the funky dads whose wardrobe could put some models to shame. But even they were game for the trend, with a few surprising results. Perhaps our favorites are the ones who went from Bruce to Caitlyn faster than you can say Kardashian. And those who swapped their daily traditional attire for something a bit more "street."
In the pic on the left, Dad is the one on the left. In the pic on the right, Dad is the one on the right. They switched positions and outfits. Every other photo before this one has the dad wearing their kids clothes. This one has the two people swapping outfits.

The magic in these makeovers lies in the contrast. There’s something heartwarming and hilarious about seeing a dad transformed from "very demure, very mindful" to "slay" in a matter of seconds. It’s not just good, funny content — it’s wholesome. It bridges the generational style gap and, in many cases, helps dads see themselves in a new light.
So, many of you Pandas know - my dad had an accident when I was 18, sustained catastrophic brain damage, and died 21 years later. So I don't have a dad any more. Any dads out there willing to volunteer to be my adoptive dad for the clothing-change trend? XD
I particularly liked the goth one, I think dad should take that up, occasionally.
Load More Replies...These were fun. Mostly, the Dads look younger dressed as their sons. I think everyone had a good time.
