"Human being is a virus which plagues our planet, not the species that shall protect all life" ......and only human being can change this course of destruction, every single one of us all!!! "One doesn't have to operate with great malice to do great harm. The absence of empathy and understanding are sufficient." - Charles M. Blow
Beautiful. And so important to donate to these organisations who are doing an amazing and brave job!
I hate it when people say pray. It's just so idiotic. Do something, as praying is literally the same as choosing to do nothing.
This particular picture depicts what human beings were made to be.
And the only problem we have in Europe are the idiots from Iran/US. The woods are burning. Nothing is more important as help to extinguish the fire. 😥🔥
All these are great! This shows humans trying to help these precious animals! <3
My heart goes out to all the victimized animals.😰 Stupid Aussies re-elected the Morrison government and helped killing animals and damaging the environment. “Every nation has the government it deserves.” AwfulStralia doesn't deserve that part of the planet.🤬
don't blame the kids! we just got here and can't even vote! If we could scomo would be out of a job! (a lot of adults voted against him to but at the start he looked promising so......yeah)

This is such a powerful picture that really shows just how awful the fires are.
I have no words for this is truly a very moving painting, take good care of them Steve...
That is ruddy amazing. Thanks Steve, we all know you will take good care of them. xx
The animal protector himself will have lots of company. *sighs* May you all have a better after life. R.I.P.. *bows his head humbly and in reverence*
When all the land is parched and there is no water left, no plants no crops and now no animals. They can't blame the cow farts for any of this lot.
Stunning art. Really sad that it needed to be made, though.
Art can sometimes help the artist express feelings unspeakable
Load More Replies...These are so beautiful. I'm literally crying right now for all of the animals and people impacted in the fires.
my heart breaks for poor animals loosing their homes and lives, firefighters are true heroes!
Absolutely heartbreaking, thank goodness for firefighters that helped as many as they could
It is devastating that we have lost so many animals and they are unique to Australia, and even when the fires have gone, the ash and the residue will still be there for such a long time. When the animals come in search of help they come directly to humans now, I hope and pray that those humans they approach are kind and giving and not cruel and vile.
Our firies and the ones from overseas deserve all honours and all accolades for their tireless efforts.
The fear that these animals must have endured, is impossible to fathom.
Food art! This is really cool actually. (Aside from the fires of course. The art is cool. The fires aren't cool.)
The helpers, the animals and the people who came out the other side of this, will never be alone. There are always those who will love, care and assist them.
Sorry but those trees are completely wrong. It’s Australia, not North America.
Don't pray, donate. If all you are doing is praying then you are not helping anyone. Neither is liking a post.
They love their land, but those looking after this land appear to be asleep.
I think I speak for a lot of Aussies when i say this...FU
Load More Replies...bloody hell, I am sitting here looking at these drawings and feeling so ruddy useless.
It does not matter who you are, the language you speak or the colour of your skin, animal and man alike, we are always there to comfort one another in time of need.
Omg would everyone get over the prayer comments. If someone facing hell, fire 🔥, death and destruction asks you to pray and that’s all they ask JUST F*****G PRAY No one asked for your opinion on religion. No one even said who you had to pray to.
Load More Replies...Praying will make you feel better, but it will not stop the agony that is happening.
i'm at work and i'm crying, damn ninjas cutting onions and those fires...
this brought on the tears i've been trying like hell to hold back
This is not an easy painting to look at because it is, sadly so true :'(
I do hope that an arsonist will see this, and they have nightmares for ever, for their actions and what they can cause. Maybe now, the undergrowth will not be allowed to take over, to make matters worse.
In the midst of it all, the animals seem to know that they can be comforted by the human.
When you are in urgent need, you will grasp at any straw, even human beings.
Load More Replies...Definitely time to stop the blame game and make sure it never happens again to this magnitude and if it does, we are ready with all the right equipment. For those in office, who can affect change, do nothing for the future, you may as well go in the middle of all this and hold these animals and people, while the fire ravages you along with them.
Stupid Americans elected a climate denier. So did the stupid Brits. Why!? Why!? Why???
Load More Replies...Mother Nature herself is mourning the great loss caused by the fires.
The Amazon was also on fire. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Amazon_rainforest_wildfires
Load More Replies...Maybe because this is not only about Australia. There are more bushfires everywhere, and maybe this refers also to the Amazon Fires from 2019, maybe that's why there is a sloth. All the bushfires worldwide are happening due to climate change and its all our homes that are in danger.
Different! Maybe that one overstayed their visa, and now is trapped like everything else.

But it *should* be sad. Making it less sad is the opposite of what should be done. It's a tragedy & playing it off as if it's not is disrespectful.
Load More Replies...I feel this one is -- for lack of better words -- taking the p**s. The Australian fires are a serious issue & adding irrelevant memes is disrespectful in my opinion. It completely discredits the suffering of real animals. Kanga & Roo from earlier is actually great because they're kangaroos & seeing them represent the horror faced by real kangaroos really hits home & shows the impact of the fires. In fact, I made a tribute using Australian movie characters who advocate nature preservation (I wonder if you can guess from my username). These characters aren't even remotely related to the issue & it's in bad taste to use them here.
Batty - your post is pretty judgmental. That artist is using characters that mean something to him/her. I really don't think they were making light of the situation. No one asked you to judge the pictures .....have you ever heard the saying "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"?
Load More Replies...I am not up with the cartoons these days, but for me, it shows the help that is given to save the animals where possible.
The ravages of the fire are behind us, and we look and feel as great as we did before. No more pain, no more fear, just endless comfort. xx
Mistake: Never listen sad music/sad metal when watching these posts :(

They are all so beautiful and sad! So sorry that this has happened!
Do not let those legs buckle. We need them to stay strong and upright and put things back together again.
Most heart-beaking fire ever. Surely hope they severely punish those who started this death and destruction. The world is praying for you Australia!
Should be a lightning strike rather than a match. That’s how most of the fires near me started.
Australian here. Estimated 1 Billion animals dead..20 thousand Koalas on Kangaroo Island Alone. The Fires are still burning. I'm crying..again 💔
A friend of mine from Victoria noticed there were no donation links for the fires there. So here it is https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/donate1. This artwork is so heartfelt it may even penetrate the thick skulls of our government..here's hoping.
Load More Replies...I made my own tribute to the lives lost in the fire, but I'm on mobile & unable to upload it right now. Later today I'll update this comment with my art so please upvote this comment so it doesn't get buried!
Sorry folks, due to personal issues I won't be uploading that picture or even checking BP for a week or so. So my dog's gonna f*****g die tomorrow & I'm not really in the right frame of mind for anything really. I might just delete these comments entirely. Feel free to downvote to get this out the way, idfc anymore
Load More Replies...This is what happens when a country's leader is influenced by fossil fuel companies and other industry, and denies climate change instead of encouraging investment in alternative sources of power. The Amazon is being cleared for industry, America's National Parks are being opened up for exploitation - short-sighted business and their political enablers are only interested in making money now, and don't care that by doing so, they are damaging the planet we all share, and everything that lives on it. Protest, and vote out everyone who denies climate change.
Absolutely gut wrenching. I wish I could do more than donate money to help these animals. I can't though as I live so far away. Donating seems so.... I don't know. It's not enough. Not by a long shot.
So do I. I donnate to help these animals but it feels such a small gesture. I wish I could be there.
Load More Replies...I am living in Australia and I have seen first hand the devastation and heartbreak that these fires have caused. My sister and her family had to evacuate and even though they were lucky, many people and animals around them were not. The loss of life, the loss of wildlife and domestic animals cannot be counted, it's in the millions and this counting has only just begun. We may eventually recover from the fires but I don't think as a nation, we will ever be the same.
Too bad about the fires... But praying does not change s**t so please do something else like minimise your carbon footprint because Australians were nr. 2 per capita in 2016!
Something as careless as a lit match or a poorly put out campfire during a dry season with little to no rain, it can cause major damage and loss of wildlife and their habitats.
When the fires were really bad, I was chatting about it with my mother. She told me a bunch of people were staying on the beaches and if the fire got too close, everyone had to be put in the ocean. This was done with the full knowledge some people would die, but it was the best option. That broke my heart.
