As bushfires continue ravaging the vast territories of Australia, its devastating effects on the wildlife has inspired numerous artists to express their grief through their art. Illustrations, comics, and even food art are pouring in from all over the world, urging people to help fight the deadly flames and save the local animals.

In the midst of it all, the animals seem to know that they can be comforted by the human.

Australian here. Estimated 1 Billion animals dead..20 thousand Koalas on Kangaroo Island Alone. The Fires are still burning. I'm crying..again 💔
A friend of mine from Victoria noticed there were no donation links for the fires there. So here it is https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/donate1. This artwork is so heartfelt it may even penetrate the thick skulls of our government..here's hoping.
I made my own tribute to the lives lost in the fire, but I'm on mobile & unable to upload it right now. Later today I'll update this comment with my art so please upvote this comment so it doesn't get buried!
Sorry folks, due to personal issues I won't be uploading that picture or even checking BP for a week or so. So my dog's gonna f*****g die tomorrow & I'm not really in the right frame of mind for anything really. I might just delete these comments entirely. I understood what you were trying to say about the pic in the posts here, and agree with you. My thoughts are with you in your own personal loss. The emotions these pics stirred up couldn't have helped you right now. Everything heals at its own pace.
The lost of your dog is a most terrible situation. I pray for you and yes, you need to cry.
I'm so sorry about your dog. Was looking forward to seeing the picture you were going to post since Fern Gully was and is one of my favorite cartoons. Maybe in the future you'll be in a better headspace to post your artwork. Just focus on yourself right now and take things one step at a time. I know firsthand how hard it is to lose a furry companion and I truly feel for you. Sending you love and well wishes!
