We Calculated How Far We Have Traveled… Turns Out We’ve Just Reached The Moon
9Kviews
Over 3 years ago we quit our jobs and set off on a journey around the world. After selling all of our belongings like cars and furniture, and saving up for a year we jumped on a plane and flew to Europe. We had no idea how long we would be gone for or what exactly we would experience but we counted every single kilometer travelled.
Using Google maps we added it all up, from buses and tuk-tuks to kayaks and walking. We documented it all on our Instagram account. Just recently we passed the 384 400 km mark which is the distance to the moon, crazy. We created a piece of art to commemorate it, and below is what we saw along the way.

Travel while you can, people. No one ever regretted putting off their careers for a year, especially when you are young. In 1996 in my 20s, I moved in with family, saved for 6 months, put my things in storage and traveled by myself through Europe and the U.S. for 5 months. It was SO hard, because I had tons of school loans to pay each month so I had to find odd jobs along the way, but I did it!
If I quit my job and sold everything I would just become homeless. Lol
I can relate to you in any possible way. Truth been told
Amazing I want to go to all those places!
