I find this dubious. Cutting anything in a grinder necessarily dulls the blades somewhat. Might it "clean out" some of the residue there? Maybe. But saying that it "sharpens" the blades has to be wrong. Let's take this to it's logical conclusion: according to him, a grinder that is used only for rice would never get dull. I could be wrong, but this sounds like something that keeps getting passed around but is ultimately based on nothing.

i've seen this tip before. i swear i've tried it so many times (big toblerone lover here) but it never actually breaks or just the little top bit of the triangle comes off. am i doing something wrong?
