This Billboard Campaign To Promote The New Grinch Movie Is Hilariously Roasting Various Cities Of America
The Grinch is back, and he's meaner than ever! The Christmas classic remake landed at the box office on November 10th and was a big hit. Its debut earned $66million during the opening weekend. The movie owes its success to a snarky billboard campaign which went viral across social many media platforms, demonstrating a great advertising example that not all of the commercials or movie posters have to be positive or uber happy. These print ads were targeted at the citizens of such cities like New York and Los Angeles. They definitely couldn't turn away when they saw green billboards showing this grouchy character frowning at them and making mildly-offensive commentary and even some pretty savage roasts. And despite being mean, these ads were completely on point and managed to reach a surprising target audience - millennials. According to Hollywood Reporter, 18 percent of ticket buyers on the opening night were between ages 18-24. Scroll to see the best movie posters for The Grinch movie!

not loud but angry and rude..oh the bliss of the big city. You cannot be rude in the countyside, everybody would look at you as if you were crazy. Here is the other way round, if you are kind you get the look WTF?
it'll be okay, we just have to stick together *tears up*
Load More Replies...hahahahahah...this one is required in every Indian City. Do you hear me Grinch??!!
Not funny I didn't laugh. This joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and y'all gave up re-telling me the joke. It's like giving someone chocolate cake if they will die if they touch chocolate. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed Dreamworks to be creative at all. The amount of brain power they must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth
Load More Replies...As someone suffering from the celiac disease (which is an autoimmune disorder btw) I just don't get why it's so.funny to joke about gluten..
Bc some people use your autoimmune disorder as a trend to lose weight...I think this is a joke towards those people

Honest to god. That's as funny as joking about secretly dosing someone with peanuts who is deathly allergic to them. Some people avoid gluten because it's a fad. The reason it's even a thing is because some people can DIE from it. My son's friend takes medicine daily because his adrenal gland was destroyed by celiac disease. But the medicine doesn't counter the effects of gluten, just replaces the missing hormones. If he gets gluten, he will be hospitalized and could very easily die. NOT EVEN REMOTELY FUNNY. I will not watch the movie, will not read any more of these posts.
People with celiac disease can not have gluten. They can get very sick or die. So, companies started labelling foods as "gluten-free". Then, some people saw that, and thought, "Gluten must be bad," like things being labelled "fat free" back in the 90s. So, now there are people who are all full of themselves and annoyingly bragging about not eating gluten. But the reality is that for people with celiac disease, this would be attempted murder. This billboard is not close to being funny. I'm actually quite pissed about it, since I know a young guy with celiac disease who almost died.
Load More Replies...why my green face is in every picture?...although I look rather well but my eyebrows are deeper in real life
He's the Grinch, what would you expect.
Load More Replies...I enjoy not being stuck in traffic, just watching those who are, I am sooo bad
So funny to see all the other signs that make the movies seem so epic, and then there’s the Grinch and that simple, totally unrelated statement but it makes me want to see the movie so much more.
Sadly retirement is but a dream, the sad reality is I will probably be working from beyond the grave.
This doesn’t really work when there’s hardly any traffic though. Still, when there is, this would be such an awesome sign to see!
Welcome to our future! No longer are we making shoes. We are making 2-1/2 feet of irresistible tubular sx! Loved the play! :)

Ok I'm not American and I've been to NYC a few times, but can someone please tell me what those stairs/bleachers are for?? I've never been able to figure it out.
The first one where you can see the top of his head! Can someone please tell me whats going on up there?
Ahh, I'll have to go take a picture, but the one next to our office in Denver says "I've seen rockier mountains."
One of the worst Photoshop jobs I've seen in months. On pic #21 they didn't even bother to use Magic Wand to select tree leaves and create a new layer.
Sometimes it seems as though movie studios spend a lot more on advertising than on hiring competent script writers.

Can't we just say "hey, it's a movie add, they paid for us to promote this sh*t"? It wouldn't be as anoying as seeing 10 different article, upvoted by some clickfarm from South-East Asia, about how the marketing team jerking off their own mirror image.
Wow, such self aware. It almost makes me think this won't be unbelievably painful to watch............almost.
Brillant way of also getting young adults or newly young couples to go.
