It's sad how many people think like this. About fish too.

In my facultys cafeteria we had a "vegetarian sandwitch" that also had chicken on it. It was hilarious how stupid peopel can be.

Reminds me of this person I know saying she wasn't going to eat pork anymore because she likes pigs and felt bad for them, so she was going to make sausage for lunch. Pork sausage. 😑

I actually had this exact argument with someone online once. She was convinced that she didn't eat meat at all because "chicken isn't meat".

Jfc 🤦‍♀️ my fave person I ever waited on in restaurants, ordered veal tortellini, I came back after serving to make sure the meals were good…… she says “ what is veal”? I say ‘baby cow technically’ and she proceeds to ask for another meal cos she is vegetarian and didn’t know veal was meat. (I happily got her a new dish and laughed when I got home ).

When my daughter was 6, she went through a phase just like this! She wouldn’t eat “animals,” but eating “birds” or “fish” was OK. As a parent, everything became “chicken.” That’s not a pork chop, it’s “chicken!” But one day, my mother-in-law ruined it for me. I had grilled “brown chicken” (aka steak). My daughter asked if she could have more chicken. My MIL said, “You mean steak?” My daughter just stared at me, with a raised eyebrow, as I plopped another piece of steak on her plate and responded, “No, she wants more brown chicken.” She didn’t eat it. The gig was up at that point.

People that eat animals are not very smart are they

Birds and fish aren't animals. Vegetarians hate plants, that's why they eat them. Lack of animal protein leads to stupidity. Hahahaha

The whole animal, vegetable, mineral debate aside, isn't it simply easier to think of vegetarians as individuals who don't eat meat, regardless of where it comes from? That is NOT complicated.

I actually can see someone believing that. Bc I think the way things are advertised. The focus is meat is cow. Fish is a living animal Too and I think that’s harder to grasp than the chicken part of vegetarian

I'm not a vegetarian but I do like the veggie burger at A&W. Order it and I get asked if I'm a vegan or vegetarian, so it's real fun ordering anything else while getting skeptical looks from the clerk.
