42 Times Nature Made Us Say NOPE” (WARNING: This List Might Be Too Scary For You)”
Not everything in nature is as beautiful or as hilarious as we're mostly used to. It has a dark side, too, and I'll completely understand if this list by Bored Panda forces you to build a pillow-fort in your living room and avoid going outside for a week.
From a mama centipede protecting its babies to a wasp colony building a nest around a discarded doll, these pictures feature some of the scariest things Mother Earth has to offer. Scroll down to test how brave you are, and vote for your favorite entries.

This Frog Was Found All Dried Up And Withered Outside The Store In The Morning. The Store Manager Said, "Let's Try Splashing Some Water On It," And Holy Sh*t It Came Back To F*cking Life
I've seen this on television. There's a species of desert frogs that bury themselves in the mud after it rains. The mud dries, and they stay underground, sometimes for years, until it rains again. They come back to life. Then they have a mating frenzy and bury themselves again. Or something like that...
We had this huge toad in our backyard as kids. We would unbury him and play and then put him back. He was there for years. Weird?
Load More Replies...They also free solid and thaw Back to Life too. Remember doing that in science classes a kid now that I think about it that was kind of mean what we did to that frog
Yes, Spencer's Burrowing Frog (Opisthodon spenceri) which lives in outback Australia does this
Incredible! We have frogs here in the Sonoran desert (Arizona) which only come out during the summer monsoon storms- and we find dried out husks of frogs once the storms go away... I've never tried to "just add water" but that's certainly a plan this year! I will FREAK OUT if it actually works!
Please post pics or video or comments or something after you try your experiment. I'm curious to know if it this would work in Arizona??
Load More Replies...Typical for an amphibian. If they get to water before total dessication...
As a child I had a baby duck that had accidentally frozen and was dead. I put it at the back of the house in the sunshine and viola! It came back alive. Go figure.🤔
Space travel problem solved, freeze dry and at the destination just add H2O.😂
I ever know that some species of frog can relife when you splash a water on them
My cat brings me those almost every day. Bad enough when they are dead, but to catch them when alive is worse. They are jumpers.
I've heard of this happening before. Frogs and toads can do weird stuff like this. They can go into a type of hibernation when condition when the climate isnt safe for them.
Frogs also sometimes freeze into ponds and then thaw out in the spring and go about their business. Amazing creatures
I found one in my house under the dresser, covered with dust and I put him outside in the rain and he hopped away.
"Come get your Insta-Frogs! Just add water, and BAM, you have your very own frog!" XD
the first photo took directly from above which makes it looks like it's flat. rest is side views.
Frogs can survive droughts and that's a fact... so not surprised at all
Actually had small freshwater aquarium frogs - use to get out and had a couple that I threw back in the tank that lived
that is how they survive the dry season. happens all the time
Water always does the magic jesus truned it into wine .. this storekeeper can make the frog comeback to life :)
I realize you were astounded at this miracle of nature but I don't think its necessary to be so vulgar about your surprise. Kids read these post too. Its possible to make your point with much more intelligent language and still be acceptable to everyone. Let's put it this way... ..if you dress as though you live in the gutter and you speak as though you live in the gutter in the gutter you will remain.
I've looked at everyone's post and I haven't seen anything vulgar yet. Where and who was vulgar???

You can drown a grasshopper or bee and then leave him to dry. They come back to life. I was a creepy child.

ALL KINDS OF NOPE still pretty cool but now I fear the outside world 😮
If this list is too scary for you, you're too scared of life.
You'd already know most of those if you were a nature documentary fan. Nothing exceptional there, but I stick to my guns when saying "if it has less than 2 and more than 4 kill it with extreme prejudice if it gets close"
#8. Disgusting the creature in the mouth of the fish
Nope. Just...all the nopes.
