The Majestic Beast Nanuk
The large polar bear Nanuk in Inuktitut is an impressive animal. In this photo, we can see him crossing between two pieces of sea glacier, or we can imagine him trying to hold it as it melts.
Isn't this so much better than looking at a miserable polar bear pacing around his cell with little ice cubes to suck on?
He is walking on frozen water. He is not stretching in between two "sea glaciers" which would be icebergs if there wasn't frozen water in between them. He would be submerged if he wasn't on ice.
This is how the world should become, it's heartbreaking to think that these incredible animals are just a breath away from becoming extinct..😇💞💜
Beautiful picture. But correct me if I'm wrong, Inuktitut is a language, not a location as the description under the picture seems to say.
Ok i think I get it... Nanuk mean polar bear in Inuktitut language?

Rising Waters
In Alexandria Bay between New York and Canada, when water levels rise and fall colours begin to take root.
So I guess the boat is a round back, and this is on a lake right? I mean every wave would flood that thing.
I'm a dork. Need to read all the words not just the bold ones. I looked it up.
Load More Replies...Hah. This is Hub Island, also known as "Just Room Enough Island". It is indeed in Alexandria Bay, on the St. Lawrence river, close to the Canadian border.
Stairway To Heaven
The long staircase leading to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve, Portugal.
I wonder if when you reach the top there is a highway to hell going back down...
I will climb down. I will then die there. I will never be able to roll up those stairs...
That stairway looks like it's a sheer drop-off...steep anything especially when it's at dizzying heights looking down would have me frozen on those steps. I'd have the luck of falling down those...and rolling to the bottom at a high rate of speed. I'd probably be comparable to a human bowling ball knocking everyone down in my path. Lol.

Load More Replies...Salt Fields
The salt fields are also the speciality of Bac Lieu. Bac Lieu is the salt basket of the Mekong Delta, with extensive salt fields along the coast. The salt fields of Bac Lieu are divided into squares and rows with lots of sparkling white salt under the sun.
At first I thought it was just little piles of salt then I realized they were people in them. That must be an interesting job!
They look like the fairies from tinker bell when they're first born I their white dress
Incredible to think we get salt this way. There's so much that the earth gives us yet we continually damage and abuse her love..😇💚💜💝
Don't worry only a small amount of the worlds Salt is used for table salt and that stuff is not normally gathered or created from places like this. To get table salt it has to be like 99.99% or something. Which would require cleaning and heating and other nonsense. This stuff is probably for industrial use, or is not the last stop for being its final product.

Family sailing on Burke Lake, which looks like a dry mud scene.
It's called editing my friend. ;) I even left the ripples in the water because I liked the way it looked.
It's filled up with water after having dried out. The water is crystal clear.

Love the interconnections of the shadows made by the palm trees with the palm trees themselves.
I just love my country. This picture takes me to a relaxing place, even in the middle of the workweek.
First thought the shadows were the trees so was wondering why the sky is green :)
Click on the pic to enlarge it. I think it is hi res. Just one click enlarges it immensely!

Quad Bikes In The Dunes
Cross the immense Namibian sand dunes when the sun falls under the horizon.
I would rather see the formation of the sand dunes after being blown through a sandstorm, than to see such beauty polluted by these quad bike things..🌿💕😷😇💞💚
Girls At The Beach, Rio De Janeiro
Stays at the beach in the morning and afternoon.
If she looks that pale after being at the beach morning and afternoon, she must be wearing 180 SPF.
I got a drone for Christmas. Took it to the beach to take a picture of the beach-yeah don't do that.
It's too bad that the last one has clearly been edited in an app like Photoshop. The symmetry of the water is simply a mirror copy of one side to the other.
