There's something special about finding an easter egg in a video game or a movie. Someone hid it there for a reason -- to send a message -- and it needs an audience to fulfill its purpose. Without your discovery, it would be like a scream underwater. Pointless.
The beautiful thing is there are more easter eggs than we might think. And they exist not only in media but in real life as well. How do we know this? Thanks to the subreddit r/IRLEasterEggs, of course! This online community is the place where people go to share pictures of their best finds.
Although we at Bored Panda already covered it, the gang keeps stumbling across so many cool gems, we have to make an update!

Digital easter eggs, like screenshots or photographs of screens (games, computer software, TV series, DVD menus) on the internet are considered as regular easter eggs and not IRL easter eggs. For such things, the moderators suggest trying r/EasterEggs.
Barcodes are also off-limits. "As fun as it is to advertise the new cute barcode you've found, please send them over to r/barcodes," the moderators say.
If you like real-life easter eggs, give these two a try as well!

I found a sign on a bench saying "In Loving Memory of [Name]", but some jerk vandalised it and ripped it off the bench. I found the pieces, glued them back together, and tracked down the guy's friends and family on Facebook in order to return it... only to be contacted by the guy on the plaque! The guy wasn't dead - he just moved away! He said I could keep the plaque, so I put it up on my kitchen wall and sent him a picture. It's still there to this day. 🤣

I don't think it's an easter egg. Unicorns are quite common in heraldry. They symbolise purity, vertue and nobility. The last one because according to the myth, a unicorn would rather jump to her death from a cliff than be killed by a hunter. According to "Gravity Falls", they're just asshol** though :-)

Not exactly a real-life Easter egg, but you know that new movie "Space Jam" with the looney toons characters? Well the rings around the space jam logo are the same rings on the looney tunes logo. I figured that out myself and thought it was cool. (Btw I don't know if they're intended to be like that, I just noticed they look similar)

The on-off buttons for the slicer at the Deli I work at are the same colors as the Italian flag, with a white hold button in the middle.
