When I lived in a region that got a lot of snow, I broke a window on my house with a snowblower. I was always careful to not have the snow chute aimed directly at the house. But a rock came out of the snowblower, bounced off a front porch support column, and broke a window. Fortunately, it was a double-pane window, and only the outer layer of glass broke.

My brother did that. sent a rock through the kitchen window when mowing the lawn. my mother made him pay to replace it because our first job when mowing the lawn is to survey the area to make sure there are no rocks, sticks or other projectiles that can get caught in the blades.

My mom shattered the storm door to the house TWICE with mowing over rocks. (Over the course of 10 or so years). We have a gravel driveway so hitting small rocks is pretty common.
