As a Christian (lol considering this article's title), I've always hated the use of that phrase. I do believe in God's will, but it shouldn't be used as a replacement for loving and serving a person, and definitely not as an excuse that a person "got what they deserved". God's will could be many things but it will always involve loving and caring for other human beings (and yourself)

Those words almost always precede the most ignorant/racist/ugliest comments ever ... ( it's similar to "no offense , but....." )

Animal hating is a big red flag. And cats are little gods.

My wife, when we were dating, had a cat that adopted me. That little cat was new to the household and stayed in hiding until I walked in. She snuck in behind the furniture and jumped on my lap. She slept on my chest, followed me everywhere, and would only take her food from me. I was never a cat person before that.

My theory is people who can't stands cats, also can't stand people who's trust and affection you have to earn. I have a dating bias: I love a man who loves a cat. They'll appreciate me more than someone who prefers dogs.

Not just abuse, but torture and murder. Makes you wonder when they’re going to graduate to doing the same to humans they hate. Listen, I’m not fond of snakes and spiders, but that doesn’t mean I would attack someone’s pet tarantula or python because of it. I’d just give their pets a wide berth—-and even overcome my dislike if the animal was in danger (like if it got out of the house and tried to cross the road). It might be unpleasant for me, but I’m not so callous I’d just stand by and let someone’s pet die if I could save it.

Anyone who "hates" any animal is not very smart. You should only "hate" that which MEANS you harm for no logical reason. The only animal which will ever do that is a human.

I think that depends on upbringing here in Nigeria a stray cat in someones house usually gets killed immediately, cos of "witchcraft", superstitious pricks if you ask me

Oh come on. My hated of cats is because I'm super allergic to them. If you were allergic to anything else and said "I hate" that thing, no one would think your a bad person. "Poor billy died because he hated bees. He hated bees all the way until the end when one stung him. If only he hadn't hated bees so much. " this sounds silly.

I dislike one particular cat because it bit me on the arm when I reached down to pick up something that fell down. I’m fine with other cats though

If i would be on a date and he told me that he hates animals, there would not be a second date. I am a "cat person" but I also love dogs. According to my own experience, men who hate cats are often insecure in their own masculinity. Cats cannot be controlled like dogs and these men needs control to assure themselves they are "real men". And off topic, how on earth can you hate an animal? They are not good or bad. They act according to their instincts. The only acceptable bad respond to an animal is if you have a phobia. But still, to hate..😐

To the point of abuse? Absolutely. Same for dog-haters, snake-haters, gerbil-haters, goldfish-haters, any of the animal haters. Animal abuse is animal abuse, regardless of which animal. Cats are too hit-or-miss for my tastes but I certainly wouldn't abuse one. This one escalated quickly.

That being said.. the statement is a little too generalized for me..." just like people are different, cats have different. personalities. " Not all of anything is "Bad". However. not really liking . .."Sharks" .comes to mind for me but I know sharks have their place in the eco-system.

I hate cats but it doesn't mean I would ever abuse them. That's a verrrrry long stretch. I'm profoundly allergic to cats and can't be around them. To assume someone would abuse an animal because they hate them is more telling about who you are rather than who I am.

Cats are independent and refuse to be controlled, so if your a control freak your going to hate them. Get yourself a dog and feed your toxic need to always feel in control

I don't hate cats but I don't like them. But I'd never refuse a cat in need food or shelter or vet care. And I'd save any animal from abuse if I had the possibility.
