Here Are 15 Photos By This Artist That Reveal How Hens And Roosters Are Walking Pieces Of Art
People love animal photography: they love the cute pictures of various pets, like cats, dogs, lizards; they love beautiful wildlife shots of deer and various exotic birds. But as Orwell's phrase from Animal Farm goes, some animals are more equal than others, and in turn, there are some that deserve more appreciation than they actually get. Chickens are among these underappreciated types: usually they're thought to be just a simple stock animal, and they're rarely appreciated for their beauty and character. But we all suspect that there's more to these animals than meets the eye.
Alex Ten Napel shares this sentiment, and has been turning his professional focus towards them ever since his fateful visit in the Pyrenees. He found hens and roosters to be walking pieces of art, with a very rich and boisterous character. The photographer took the inspiration to the studio and decided to see what would happen if they got the proper professional focus on them. If you want to know how it turned out, you'll find the results of his experiments below!
