I think cats love people who don't like cats much but would never hurt one. Because many cats are aloof and don't want to be fawned over- they just want to be free to do their own thing. People who don't care for cats will largely ignore the cat or just sit peacefully nearby without disturbing it. Cats probably interpret this as silent respect. Lol. So sweet.

My wife wanted a black cat. The shelter convinced us to also take an orange/white cat, because he was "cuddle buddies" with the black cat. I was willing to accept the orange/white cat as "mine." The cats had other ideas--the black one spends most of his time with me, the orange/white one spends most of his time with my wife. :-)

look just like my cat from kitten to adult. Exactly like that kitten when I got him at 4 months old. He passed away in January 2017 at 17 years old. Gosh I missed my cat!

A rescue, perhaps? I once rescued two kittens even smaller than this cute ball of floof. They were 1 week old, max, and had been left alone to die in the rain. I took them to the vet, bottle fed them for some weeks, and they were my adored fur babies for 16 and 18 years.

People who say they are not a cat / dog person - take note of this. Dogs pull you out of yourself; dogs are there for the rough and tumble belly laugh stuff. Cats pull you into yourself - more introspective, more brain thinking. Nothing cast in stone with my statement - just something I think. I grew up with both cats & dogs. Love them both, live with 4 cats and love when I see my sister's dogs. They are both good for human beings.

I feel like people who claim, that they hate cats most likely never had a chance to play with one. They see them as aggressive, scratching and biting creatures... And that is far from from what most cats are. I refuse to believe, that this adorable, purring ball of fur could be still hated after some quality time spent together. Impossible!

It can not be about not liking cats rather than not wanting to have one in the house. My dad doesn't even want to consider having a cat because he's worried about it breaking his things. The dog won't climb the furniture. I imagine people who don't want dogs also imagine the ones that destroy the house if left alone for 5 minutes.

It's great that they have changed their minds but why did they hate cats to begin with? I don't have much respect for people who hate animals. Any animal. For no good reason(bitten or injured by one is a good-ish reason obviously).
