Humans have come a long way trying to explain things that seem mysterious to them. Once we believed that solar eclipses are gods’ way to show humans their anger, but now we know that it’s just the Moon covering the Sun. But there are still so many things for us to discover and find out—because there are so many things people see and can’t explain. They even may tell others what they witnessed and nobody believes them because it seems so unlikely, or they will believe them but fail to find a logical explanation.

These kinds of stories sometimes get really creepy and scary, but nonetheless they are so interesting because those experiences are quite rare. Reddit user Tiny_Map5886 was also interested in this topic and asked people, “What's something you can swear you saw but no one is believing you?” Some stories are quite entertaining and have a satisfying end as it turns out, they did see what they saw, but others are just plain scary.

If you have ever seen something that nobody believes you did, share it in the comments and upvote the stories that you would believe!

From Wikipedia: The cougar (Puma concolor) is a large cat of the subfamily Felinae. Native to the Americas, its range spans from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes in South America and is the most widespread of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. It is an adaptable, generalist species, occurring in most American habitat types.

I know the BMW thing is a long-running joke, but it's the weirdest phenomenon. I had a friend who was generally a placid, quiet and thoughtful person. However, every time he got behind the wheel of his metallic blue BMW convertible he transformed into a raging, inconsiderate and purposely reckless arsēhole of the highest order. It was both fascinating and terrifying to observe

Every BMW driver on the road seems to be a massive asshole, and I've been pondering whether BMWs turn people into assholes, or whether only assholes buy BMWs.

I'm up the mountain from you, and I discount 3/4 of them, since city folks can't tell a fox from a wolf, but I've seen scat in the Blue Ridge that argues pretty strongly for Virginia having a big feline visitor. It makes sense they'd come up the mountains from the Florida swamps, IMO.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did Kept telling my mom and sister I was seeing UFOs. Kept happening really regularly and frequently. Eventually I got them all to come outside because it was about time for one to show up. And it did. It was a stealth bomber being test flown, long before the public announcement about them went out or any pics were leaked. Blew all of our minds.

I was MAYBE four or five and had been outside. This bizarre plane passed by so I drew a picture of it to show my brother (he was into aircraft at the time) to find out what it was. He had no idea. He took the drawing to show our dad, who also couldn't identify it. Dad saved my drawing because he surmised it was either a military aircraft in a testing phase (dated the back of the paper) or my imagination running wild. Years later, the stealth bomber became known to the public. My dad recalled my drawing - I had seen that plane all those years ago. The validation of what I saw being true was fantastic.

I was at a light the other day and I saw two F-22 flying over very low. I asked SIRI "Is there an air show nearby today?". Siri was nice enough to let me know WWIII hadn't started and indeed there was a air show nearby, but for a moment I wondered.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I’m (31F) from Northern Ireland and this happened about 10 years ago. As I walked my dog, I suddenly felt like I was being watched. I looked around and quickly noticed a grey wolf slowly walking through the field I was beside, staring right at me with a mangled rabbit in its mouth. We were both walking in the same general direction. It looked huge, around 5 feet or so. It stared in such a predatory way I was terrified that it was going to come for us. It was about 15 meters away with a pretty pathetic fence between us, and we both just stood there frozen for about 10 seconds staring at each other. Eventually I picked up my (small) dog and backed away while watching it, I didn’t know what the hell to do. When it was nearly out of sight and still hadn’t moved, I turned and ran. I told my dad who didn’t seem to believe me but said I should call animal welfare, and they didn’t take it seriously at all, I never heard back from them. We don’t have wolves here so I have no idea what the heck happened. I Google it every few years and did read something about people managing to get wolves as pets and then releasing them when they got too big to keep or something, so I wonder if that’s what happened. But I always see a look of worried disbelief when I tell someone! Edit: This was in the middle of the day so I could see it very clearly. Definitely didn’t look anything like an Irish Wolfhound, and we own large dog breeds (as well as the small I was walking), and it didn’t seem anything like a large dog. The closest breed I saw mentioned was the Northern Inuit, but more grey. But it was much bigger with a wild, predator-like temperament. Honestly if I hadn’t seen it walking while staring, I might have wondered if I was just seeing things. I saw a few comments mentioning a wolf sanctuary in Ireland and when I looked that up, this is the closest to what I saw! The town I was in is pretty small and not anywhere near any of the sanctuaries/zoos. I was also in a residential area—a row of houses on one side of me, the field on the other, so it still feels really random. Edit 2: Someone has let me know that a grey wolf escaped approximately around the same time that this happened, from Tyrone which is only about 40-45 miles away from where I was! So it is seeming likely that someone was trying to keep it in captivity and it escaped. I’m not crazy, hurray!

There is one in my area! We received a letter a few years ago which basically said... A local man rescued an adolescent Eurasian wolf that he'd found injured while traveling. No sanctuary would take it on so he applied to bring it to England (the alternative was for it to be put down). He was granted permission but must notify all the local residents when he is taking it out for exercise. The man created an app that showed it's real-time location and would send out a notification when he's taking it out. There is around 2k acres of farmland (don't worry, arable farming) and the wolf runs about all night 4 nights a week. I got to see it once, fecking HUGE and so beautiful!

Five feet tall on all fours or five feet long nose to tail? Because if that wolf is five feet while on all fours, I do not want to meet him in a dark alley. That's almost eye level with me.

Dude I’m from Northern Ireland and this happened to me - I’d actually been trying out some meditation with a guided visualisation on YouTube to help reduce stress and focus. I visualised a wolf. Then in the morning at around 4am I went for a walk in my residential area. I turned a corner and saw a huge wolf like OP described, just staring at me. No owner or even collar in sight. I thought I manifested it 😂 🤷🏽‍♀️ We stared at each other for ages then eventually walked off; never saw her/him again. It wasn’t scary at all but maybe because I was thinking it was so,e miraculous sign

I was out walking in the early morning in the park near my house, and saw a bull. Yeah, the VERY large, very muscle-y, very horned "male cow", in a nice park with a pretty lake in the MIDDLE OF A CITY. A few moments later I saw about 8 people with a hoop on a stick (google says "catch pole") trying to flank it. Definitely one of the crazier things I've seen. Turns out it escaped from a nearby agricultural convention and ran a couple miles down a busy street before veering off into the park.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I have clear and distinct memories from when I was still in diapers and a crib. No one in my family believed me until I described the EXACT layout of my room at the time, bed and dressers included. We don’t have any photos of this room, so this isn’t a false memory situation like my brother said. I even described a time my mom gave me cough medicine in a Mickey mouse spoon from before I could even talk. Yep, ditto. I have incredible long-range memory, but my short-term memory is horrible. I also have several memories from when I was 4 or younger. And I know I'm not making it up or having 'false memories', because I described things that my parents had forgotten about and had never described themselves. I also remember having surprisingly complex thoughts at the time.

that's another thing too, like, I don't consider myself a genius or something, but I do remember having a somewhat complex thought process. My theory is that I have older siblings that are only 2 and 3 years older than me respectively, so we basically grew up together. I learned to talk very early, and I even learned how to read at the same time they did, before I even entered kindergarten. I was never one of those kids that were eating dirt or just things they shouldn't, or like, falling off ladders or whatever, like, of course I had accidents and such, but I was always very aware of my surroundings or like, the dangers of certain things or situations. But again, I attribute that to my siblings always like, explaining the world to me, or maybe even just by imitation I was doing what they were, or not doing what they weren't doing.

When I tried to explain one my mother she didn't believe me at first because I was describing a large tall table. Finally she realized I was describing it as I saw it at that age... eye level for me, knee height for her. Yeah, I have memories like that too, well not months old, but from like between 1-2 years. For example I remember where my mom used to store the feeding bottles, even though she stopped giving me that when I was like 2 years old or less. I even remember the day that happened, she told me the cats outside wanted my bottle (we always referred to them as babies lol) so I remember taking my feeding bottle and throwing it a the patio. And my mom doesn't believe that I remember that because supposedly I was too young for me to remember.

I remember reading an article about a girl that had a phenomenal eidetic memory, during an interview they asked her what her earliest memory was, apparently it was the first time she'd been asked that. She sat for a while before recalling an event where she was in a car and her parents were having a conversation about not allowing her aunt to visit until she apologised because she had been really rude about her mom. She described what her parents were wearing and even a specific smell. The events she described occurred the day she was born!

I remember being sat in my pram in our back garden and watching my brothers jump on an old mattress that was behind the shed. I drew a picture of the layout of the garden years later to show my mum because I thought it was just a dream I had and it was spot on and she could even remember the mattress behind the shed and all my brothers used to jump on it. I was 11 months when we moved from there and I never went back to the house and definitely never saw the back garden again as it was only accessible through the house

My earliest memory was when I was 10 months old. Specifically, Easter Sunday in the March. I can describe everything about a particular moment when my aunt told my cousin to give me my easter egg. I was sitting propped up against the sofa and couldn't yet walk. I remember my aunt talking, but I only knew the words that were my cousin's name, the word give, and my name. The adults were standing maybe 8 feet away from me and I was unable to focus on their faces. They were more a bit of a blurry outline, but I could see their legs quite well. The easter egg was in a pinkish-purple foil and seemed like the biggest thing I had ever seen as it came towards me. I was able to have several of the adults in the room later verify what I remembered. Then I have no memories till I'm about three.

Here’s hoping this all fits. Used to work health care. Specifically, dementia palliative care. Palliative meant that people had a certain amount of time to live, and usually declined pretty quickly. To put it nicely: dementia residents came to me to be cared for while they died. I worked night shift, 11pm-7am. I’ve seen and heard dead residents at night, watched living residents talk to an empty room, and then mention they were talking to someone who died long before they ever came into my care, someone they had never met. My coworkers believe me, but no one else ever has.

My father clearly talked to his mother shortly before he died. The palliative care Dr said in the final hours, people cross back and forth between living and dead. He was on a morphine drip d/t cancer. He was unconscious at one point and I talked to him about our distant relationship and how grateful I was that he said I love you a lot (never before cancer.) I put my head on his chest, not thinking he heard me. Tears fell from his eyes.

My mum did the same before she died. I'd go into her room (in my house) and she'd be staring at the wall next to her and would say my dad was there. She'd say something along the lines of "Jim is watching us" or something equally strange. I know this happens to dying people, but to actually witness it is surreal.

My mom,80+, and I 50, saw my grandfather walking away from us once. About 2 weeks before she died she told he was there with her. I told her I was glad he”d come for her. Several years later, when my dad died, a whiff of mom’s perfume hung in the air near him. Pretty normal stuff in my family, but it was amazing to experience.

I worked as a hospice volunteer for some years. Anybody who works with the dying will tell you that their connection to the world shifts, and people start to live on a different plane of existence. The veil between life and what comes next becomes very thin. And yes, people see these things.

There have been scientific studies about this being very real, but the medical feild is in denial about it. If anyone is interested, I can link an interview with the doctor that does the studies. Typically, the patient starts seeing and interacting with passed on loved ones two weeks before death. It's fascinating, and a very real phenomenon that should be taken very seriously

As one who holds an MD and has been at too many da*n deathbeds lately... Or at all.... the phenomenon is real. What causes it, we don't know for certain. I don't know anyone in the field (MD, nurse, etc.) who denies we even have "the dying hours" ------ the rooms that "go sour" ----- but we have nothing to point to but experiences. Those are subjective, and therefore "symptoms", whereas science demands "signs" (measurable test results). I never have heard of a stigma in the field, but maybe it's a regional thing or something?

When my grandfather was at the end, he kept saying his brother and sister, their parents, and my gramma were waiting for him upstairs. They were all already passed, of course.

I believe you. My father had a near death experience, he heard a doctor telling my mum that if he survived that night he would be ok. Then he said he was walking through a beautiful valley full of flowers and he could see two people in the distance beckoning to him, he said they were his parents, the next thing he remembers is waking up.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did 6 years ago I went through 10 surgeries for a badly broken leg. During one of the surgeries early on, I have distinct memories of waking up and hearing, seeing and smelling several minutes of the surgery. I also remember a nurse looking me in the eye and then telling someone I was awake. I then passed back out, presumably due to more anesthesia. No one believes me that this happened. I’m now terribly afraid of surgery and hope I never have to enter another operating room.

It happens, I was told in nursing school so this happens, or sometimes people are asleep but able to hear everything that goes on. So they lectured the whole class of nursing students that if you ever work in the OR, never say anything unkind or unprofessional, because the patient may be able to hear everything!

If this happens, be sure to report it in the hospital after report (at least here I always get a call to make sure I'm ok). And make sure it's part of your medical record. Hopefully it won't happen again. Forewarned is forearmed.

I am hypersensitive to pain killers and anesthesia. I go way to deep and stay under way to long. I have had just locals since I was 14 if I ever needed surgery. I pass out from those and come in and out. I can hear what is going on and talk to the drs some. One dr insisted I get full anesthesia and said they would watch me and take good care. I flat lined and they had a very hard time getting me back. I've had eyelid surgery where I was awake the whole time, c section, knee surgery part out part in. C section I woke up and said I was freezing cold. The anesthesiologist told me "Well what do you expect? You're butt naked on a steel table!" I had a spinal and could not tell I had a rear end for several days. No feeling at all. I recently had wrist surgery and my arm was flopping around and swinging widely the next day. No feeling at all. Could not control it. I had to keep it in a sling just to keep it safe. Took several days to wear off. Crazy.

It happened to me at 20yo, full anesthesia surgery and then I started waking up and feeling pain and could hear the doctor shout "what the hell is happening, she's awaking, what are you doing there with that anesthesia?" and another voice said "sorry, sorry, I'll correct it immediately" and then I blacked out again. Not a pleasant memory.

I woke up during surgery once. I was having a lump removed from my b****t, and I woke up while she was digging around inside and looked at the doctor, and she said "Hi, why don't you just go ahead and go back to sleep now," and then next time I woke up, I was in the Recovery Room.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I think I had a collision problem once. Was about to take a shower and stuck my arm in to feel the water. But the water just...didn't connect. It went right through my arm, no temperature or splashing or anything. Here's the weird s**t. I wasn't by myself. I called my wife in and she watched the same thing happen. Her arm acted normally, got wet and warm. Kept putting my arm in the stream and it didn't interact with the water at all, was like it wasn't there. We tried water from the sink, and that was fine, I could touch that. I poked a bunch of other random s**t too, no changes. Wife put her arm beneath mine and said she could feel the water hitting her arm, like mine wasn't even there. Then at one point I stuck my arm in and it was just...fixed? Everything worked normally. We hadn't changed anything. My wife hates talking about it because people always grill her with questions and explanations

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I live in a rural community in Canada. My sister came to see me once and swore up and down that she saw a zebra grazing in the fields. I made fun of her for a couple of years about how the zebra roam the north pole and how Santa has zebra instead of reindeer. She was really starting to doubt herself but stuck to her guns. Well, I was driving one day and lo and behold, a f*****g zebra grazing in the field. Turns out a zoo sometimes lets them roam around there. When I told my sister she felt vindicated. Edit: Since this has come up a lot. This was near between Orangeville, and Arthur. And was about 10 years ago.

Friend of mine had some family from europe visiting him in the Toronto area. They wanted to see "Canadian Wildlife" so he drove them around the country a bit. They were asking if it was really possible to see moose or bears, a little skeptically. He said probably not this close to the city, but it was possible. Five minutes later a giraffe ran across the road head of them. Turned out it had gotten loose from a safari park thing. I hope they don't still have those.

I live near the wine country in Napa California. One day I was driving a friend to an appointment, and we were way early. She asked me to turn down a small lane, and in a few minutes we came to a field where there lived a full grown Dromedary Camel! To say my mind was blown would be a vast understatement! Turns out the people were really wealthy and just wanted to own a camel!

Had a similar experience 3 years ago, driving out of my city (London, Ontario) to a nearby town for an event. Passing farmer fields and the one next to the event location had 6 horses and a zebra grazing, I told my husband and he made fun of me. Arrive at the event and someone else mentions driving down the road and seeing a zebra with horses in the next field, event host informs us that the farm next to his is also a rescue animal farm like his and that they recently rescued a Zebra from an illegal roadside zoo. The look on my husband's face when I was vindicated will take me a long time to forget!

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did My Betta fish disappeared out of a covered tank. And then reappeared in front of my eyes. If you can imagine: This tank is clear plastic on all sides, including the bottom. There's nowhere to hide when it's empty. The only thing not transparent is the metal lid. Betta fish are known to hide, so I didn't worry about not seeing him for a couple days, but on day 3 I got worried, so I took the heater and filter out. Checked the inside of the filter. Took the plants out. Took the hides out. No fish. Nothing in the tank but water and glass rocks now, so I started scooping the rocks out, thinking he may have gotten trapped under there and died. Pretty soon I'm staring at a tank with nothing but water in it. No fish. I figure there's no way he's still alive so I start scooping the water out. It's about 3/4 full when suddenly my fish does one of those fishy slow-turns in the dead center of the tank. There he was. It wasn't, like, I turned away and then back and my fish was there. No, I was staring at the tank, and I quite literally saw him swim back into existence. One second he wasn't there, the next he was. I moved him to a smaller bowl for a few days to keep an eye on him. Covered the top with perforated plastic wrap to ensure no jumping. He disappeared from the bowl a couple days later and never came back. Have owned several Betta fish, and I can honestly say no other fish has ever dimension hopped out of a tank since.

When I was a child my dad acquired a fish tank. I can remember it being carried in, still full of gravel and three larger rocks. It sat there for a few days before he decided to fill it with water, ready for the fish, which he was going to buy the following week. A day or so later I was looking at the tank and one of the three rocks opened it's eyes! No one believed me until a couple of days later when the rock went for a swim.... I'd put the remaining fish in mug while I cleaned the tank (neon tetras). New rocks. New accessories. Didn't put any of the old stuff back. 2 days later, he was back.

Not enough context, especially a more detailed description of the girl (was she smaller than the average teenager, did she appear to have any physical handicaps, etc?), to really explain it.

I have dwarfism, rare genetic mutations and a neuro degenerative disorder with several complications, including seizures, feeding issues and erratic vital signs. I’m an adult who is smaller than an eight year old. During the day I can hide the some of the severity of my disorder with optical Illusions in my wheelchair. The same is not true at night. Some people with disabilities have feeding tubes, leads from heart monitors, catheters, etc. The easiest way to prevent injuries from seizures and hold leads leads and tubing in place is using a crib, a bed with padded rails and adapted clothing that looks like baby clothes.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did Not something I saw, something I felt and heard. I was struggling to sleep one night, lying in bed feeling wired and irritable when I felt pressure lift from the bed on my partner's side. I assumed he'd got up to go to the bathroom (I was facing the opposite way so I didn't see him do this) a few minutes go by and I hear him come back into the room and feel him get back in bed, nothing strange about that. Lying there still frustrated the same thing happens again, a lift of pressure, some rustling sounds like a person trying to navigate a dark room, an absence of sound for a few moments and then the sensation of weight on the bed again. Still not thinking much of it, because it wasn't an obvious cause for concern, I continue trying to fall asleep. Then it happens again. And again. And again. I wasn't too into the idea of asking him if he was ok as we had a ridiculous argument that night and I was pretty pissed off with him, so I just ignored it. But then... Then it sounded like he had got up and was simply pacing around the room clumsily, I could hear things on the shelves being touched and slightly moved and hands gently brushing against walls, and then I felt the bed suddenly dip in a concentrated spot of the mattress as though he had stood on it. This carries on for I don't know how long, rustling, pressure on the bed and so on until I snap. I sit bolt upright, turn around and say "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" to see my partner waking up from a very deep sleep and looking confused. I told him what had happened and he said he'd been asleep next to me the whole time, which was pretty obvious to see him in his very sleepy state, plus he would have had mere seconds to jump into bed without me noticing in the time it took me to sit up and turn around. I somehow fell asleep that night feeling confused and as though eyes were on me. And in a typical cheesy haunted house fashion, I get a call from my mum the next morning telling me my uncle had died the night before.

That seems very dismissive since there is no indication that the person telling the story couldn’t move which would seem to be a pretty big component of sleep paralysis. This is just a normal dream of their partner getting up repeatedly. Similar to when you might think you turned off your alarm, got up, started to get ready for your day, just to have the alarm go off again in real life and you awake to realize that you are still in bed and you were dreaming about getting up and getting ready.

I sometimes feel a jump on my bed next to me. I have a cat, so I just assume it’s her but when i look, she’s not there. I’m used to that stuff happening randomly throughout my life. So I just assume it’s a nice cat/dog ghost and go to sleep lol

This is happening to me, on a regular basis. I feel, what I think is my cat, jumping on the bed, but then I notice he is sleeping in his bed on the floor.

Is this like when you feel the cat jump on the bed and spin around in circles until it finds the best position and then hear the cat scratch on the door to get in the bedroom? I jump out of bed like it's on fire to let the cat in.

My nextdoor neighbor asked me if someone died in the house years ago. He knew that a man committed suicide several months before he bought the house. But he described sitting on the bed and sometimes feels a person sit on the bed next to him. He described a woman in detail. Well, the suicide man's wife died in the home several years before he committed suicide. My neighbor described her to a tee. He'd never seen a picture of her before. I didn't tell him another suicide happened in that house about 30 years before too. Something about that house!

When I was 12, I stayed with my great aunt while my mother and brother ran to the grocery to get lunch stuff. She took me into her basement and "introduced" me to her husband. Her long dead husband. Who's remains were in a ziploc in a file drawer, neatly filed. She made a big deal about how she bought a brand new box of ziplocs for him instead of reusing one. She was all about the frugality, my great aunt. No one believed me until after she died. When my mother and aunt found the cremains in the ziploc in the file drawer.

I’m sorry about your father. I was very close to my Grandma Jett who died rather unexpectedly four days before her 80th birthday—she slipped on a curb, broke her hip, and died of hospital pneumonia. I still miss her even though I’m now 65 and she would be an astonishing 112 years old.

My Dad passed away from Cancer when I was 7 years old. My parents asked me if I wanted to be there when he died and I said no. My parents arranged for me to go to their best friends house to sleep over the night after I had said my goodbyes as he was fading away. That night he did pass and I experienced something that I cannot explain. I remember this vividly, I was fast asleep and I wake up bolted upright at 11:50pm like I was pulled awake and I knew immediately that he had died right then. I had this really strange sense of calm and acceptance and I felt my Dad’s presence like he was saying goodbye. Later I asked my Mom when he died and told her that story and it shook her hard, it happened. A few years later she took me to a clairvoyant who afterwards said I was a clairvoyant too. My mother is a highly intelligent lady, women of science and to my knowledge didn’t tell this lady a thing. A few years later I’m sitting on the couch after school with my sister watching TV and I get that same feeling again and immediately know that my Mom has been involved in a car accident and I told my sister right away like I didn’t have a choice I just said it. I was right she had been in a car accident at that exact time. This was before cell phones and I had no way of knowing, no communication with my Mom. Two events where I knew without a doubt that events had occurred when I had no logical way of knowing. It hasn’t happened since and I have no explanation whatsoever for either of them.

I seem to know things that in theory I shouldn't know. I can remember 5 different phone calls when as soon as it rang I knew who it was and that they were calling to let us know about someone who had died. I also knew the sex of various babies before they were born and also knew when their mums were in labour.

When I was 9 my Nan and Grandad had been visiting and were about to leave. It had been a lovely day,and there was absolutely no reason for me to think of this, but as they walked towards the door, I had an image in kind of slow motion of them being in a terrible car crash. It's hard to describe,it was like I was looking at them with my "normal" eyes, but had like an overlay/sort of transparent dream of them being in a crash at the same time. I kept trying to stall them so they wouldn't leave, and when they did,I felt utter panic and terror to the point that I actually started praying really hard that they'd be ok. I even told my mum.10 minutes later,we received a call that my grandparents had been in a hit and run. My Nan had gone through the windscreen and my Grandad seriously injured. Thank God they both survived. I have never forgotten it and neither has my family. I have no explanation at all,I wish I did!

I have experienced these things all my life. I am also a sensible, science-oriented person, but I've given up trying to dismiss my very real experiences that I simply can't explain logically. Those of us who experience the world this way just have to put up with all the people who refuse to believe it because they don't.

In general, you have to put up with all kinds of people who hold different beliefs from you. That's life. It's not persecution for people to not believe these stories are real. I've experienced things that seemed supernatural and still don't believe they're actually supernatural. They're just unexplained. People 1,000 years ago thought a lot of stuff we can easily explain now was supernatural back then. Just because a person doesn't believe in this stuff doesn't mean they have no experience of this sort of thing. They just have a different reaction.

I've had something a bit like this happen, with the suicide of someone I knew well - 'I'll never see them again,' an hour or so after their death. But I've long suspected I had clues to it percolating in the back of my mind, and there was more empathy to it than the paranormal.

It was super good of the parents to ask if this person wanted to be there. Too many parents just force their kids into all family activities - weddings, funerals, watching someone die, kissing grandma platonically - without giving the kid a chance to say id they WANT to do those things.

I was with my boyfriend at the time, in my house, watching a TV show and all of the sudden I'm having trouble breathing, I jump from the couch and I'm breathing but there's something in my chest, in my lungs that make breathing hard, even though I don't have any breathing problems, and when this sensation stops, I start crying, a great sadness, can't control myself. I thought it was a panic attack. It was my first year in college, during exam period and I had an English I exam the day after. We didn't have classes during that period. Went to college, did the exam and returned home. Stopped by my mother's work to tell her I was back and my godfather was there to inform her (and then me) that the son of a friend had died during the night from complications of the surgery that would make him breathe again without assistance after a terrible car crash he had suffered two years before. Nobody knew we were each other first love (me 12, him 14, then) and that it only stopped 4 years later

IANDS (international association of near death experiences) and NDERF (near death experience research foundation) are two places to read thousands of people's experiences, as well as post your own and/or join. It isn't neurological anomaly, plenty of studies and proof out there for that.

A doctor/surgeon placed a short note on the top of something in his operating room. Tall people could not reach that spot without something to stand on. He was doing an informal study on near death experiences. He put that note there for anyone who was looking down on the surgery would see this. Only the doctor know it was there and he changed the note occasionally. He asked his patients if they remembered anything from the operation. I don't remember if anyone saw his note.

While I proclaim I don’t believe in ghosts, I worked in a very old movie theater in San Francisco, and one evening after we’d closed, the manager and I were doing a walk-through in the auditorium looking for left-behind items (sweatshirts were common) to put in the lost-and-found box behind the counter, and as I walked out the auditorium door, there was a slight puff of wind and something whispered in my ear “Mary Rose”. It was so frigging creepy!

This has happened to me. I can be wide awake (upright, doing something tangible, etc.) when I hear my name said very loudly and clearly into my ear. It's always a man's voice. I've even been in a room with someone when this happened and I know for a fact that they hadn't said a word. I have only asked once if the person with me yelled my name, only to be looked at like I was nuts. I keep it to myself now. (I also answer questions without the person saying a thing and get strange looks because although I hear the question, they hadn't asked it yet. This happens more often with my husband who swears up and down he hadn't uttered one word.

Both of my nieces, my nephew, and my son were deathly afraid of the small bathroom that is at the end of our long, narrow laundry room. They would all stand in the doorway that leads from the kitchen to laundry room, point towards the bathroom door, and cry inconsolably. They did this independent of each other during their respective toddler years. They're all now adults and all concur that they saw a dark man standing in that bathroom. My son, nephew, and I still live in that house. My nephew, who our entire family agree is a medium, says the dark man was forced by my father's spirit to leave because he (the dark man) was making me sick. To clarify, between 2017 and 2019, I was hospitalized with sepsis 23 times and nearly lost my life a dozen of those times. My father passed in late 2019, the dark man disappeared, and I've not gotten so much as a cold since. Coincidence? Maybe. My nephew strongly feels dark man was making me sick and trying to kill me.

I've worn glasses for about 50 years now, very near-sighted without them (meaning I can see things close to me a lot better than I can see things far away). Woke up one day years ago to the sounds of someone making breakfast in the little kitchen by our bedroom (open concept loft, so no walls between the rooms). I rolled over and "saw" very clearly a rugged man's boot by the stove, as if someone were leaning in to attend to the cooking. I rolled over to grab my glasses, but in the few seconds it took for me to roll back the person had disappeared. It was only then I realized how clear the image had been and how odd that was. I'm convinced I saw a ghost that day.

A few years ago, I was about 38-40, I was raking leaves and felt a weird, static-electricity-like sensation. I turned around and about 10 feet away there was a ball of light/lightening, about 1.5 feet in diameter, floating about 4 feet off the ground sort of meandering towards me. It bobbed and weaved around for a few seconds and I turned and took a few (fast) steps away. When I turned back, it was gone. Weird thing is that lightening struck a puddle I was standing in, about 2 feet away, 10 years earlier. Knocked me out for about 10 seconds. When I sat up, my friend who was standing about 30 feet away under an awning, collapsed laughing. "I thought you were dead for sure, man." We went to the pub; I'm fine.

My son and I saw balls of lightning very like the one you describe, except ours were more like bubbles than balls. They fizzed as they moved and popped loudly before disappearing. They don't fit the standard definition of ball lightning, but I don't know how else to describe what we saw.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I've shared this on reddit before, but once I was driving through Utah on a 2 lane highway all alone, in the middle of the day and I passed by what I thought was a wolf, and wanted to snap a picture to send to my father, as that was his favorite animal. I was looking at it in mY rear view mirror, and it looked really mangy and diseased, but was looking right back at me. I watched it lift its front paw off the ground, and it waved at me with a five fingered, human f*****g hand before placing it back on the ground, once again a paw. I have never, ever gone as far over the speed limit as i did when I sped tf off.

I don't know why but I would've loved to encounter something like that! I would've immediately pulled off the road to get closer to the creature. It also reminds me of a book I read called "Not Your Ordinary Wolf Girl".

Skinwalker. They are a species closely related to goblins, a distant relative to humans. Their population has been in decline for about 600 years. There's less than 3000 left.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I saw a dude standing next to my truck with an unnaturally wide smile. I was on highway 49 east right outside Greenwood, MS. I heard hail hit my truck a few times so I pulled over expecting a tornado. I was grabbing my backpack getting ready to bail out for the ditch. I turn back to the driver side window to check my mirror and this guy was just standing there. Smiling. It scared me so bad I just slammed the truck in drive and got out of there.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I saw my uncle fall from the roof as he was escaping a house fire. He was able to get inside the car and take off but not before the house toppled over on top of the car. After a few minutes he appeared out of the smoke, limping away. I distinctly remember running back to my house (right next door) to tell my mom about what had just happened. We go outside and nothing. No fire, no smashed car, no house falling over. I dunno wtf 5 year old me was smoking but I had the hardest time processing what had just happened or not happened. My mom was so angry with me for coming up with such a awful lie about her little brother. Til this day, 27 years old now, I can't explain what, why, or how I saw what I saw but I very much remember terrifying feeling I felt during and afterwards. Mom thinks I must've fallen asleep playing outside and woke up from a nightmare and panicked but whatever it was it feel too real.

Maybe visions from your previous life? I mean there was this 5 yo or so talking about being pilot in ww2, I did not hear anything disproving that (he was never told about ww2 of any details). He recognized uniform insignias from his uniform and pointed where his aircraft fell where was actual aircraft pieces found or something not sure, was long time ago I read about it, but stories about children remembering their previous lives are pretty common, so maybe there's something to that.

I was searching for my dog. I have small garden with big fence around, and she was nowhere in house. Took me hour of searching until through the window I see my dog laying perfectly comfortable on sun on glass top garden table as high as normal dining table. Glass top. 30 kilo Stafford. With both sided dysplasia... I have no clue how she got there, never saw her jumping but chairs were under the table perfectly fitting so couldn't go on chair and than on the table. I was freaked out but happy she was ok... Dogs are strange 😊.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did A few years back I saw a capybara in my front yard (in Alabama). NO ONE believed me because by the time I came back with my phone he was gone. The best I got was a, “I guess it might have been a capybara” after a local man was found to have his own exotic animal collection less than three miles away. Other animals I saw in that yard: an emu and two bison. I must have lived pretty close to that dude’s land. Edit to add: it was def a capybara. I watched it for several minutes and estimated it’s weight somewhere around 100-130lbs . Dude also had a panther escape in the area which brought in state wildlife officials.

Those people ought to be locked up for life. I can't understand how it is allowed. Even after some kid gets mauled or killed, they'll keep being allowed to do it because their freedom trumps everyone else's rights (unlike the actual American philosophy, which does not support that).

I have very emotionally upset, one day and could not deal with the circumstances. I went to bed and just lay there. I could feel myself leaving my body and going up into the room. I was able to look down and see myself still in bed. I knew I had the option of leaving the room entirely but chose not to do so because I was concerned I would not be able to get back to my body, still in the bed. Sounds goofy even to me. But I know it was real.

Ah! When I was about 6-7 years old, I had a dream that I was watching myself being led back into the house( in the middle of the night) by my mom and sister. My mom said, "she's sleep walking , don't wake her. I stood by the mailbox watching the whole thing under the glare of the streetlight. Then when I was in my late 40s the same sister said,"remember when Maria was walking in her sleep one time and me & mom took her in the house and mom said not to wake her up?" I just looked at her with my mouth opened then said, "I thought that was a dream! I saw it all as I was standing near the mailbox..." No one believes me except my kids.

I've had this happen to me as well! I once walked into my bathroom, which had the sink to the left as you walk in the door, and a mirror above the sink. I walked in, turned to face the sink, and saw my own face reflected in profile. I stared for several seconds and nothing changed. Finally I turned around to see if anything behind me could be causing an optical illusion (not possible but I was grasping at straws) and when I looked back at the mirror again, my reflection was normal. I have NO idea why or how that happened.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I have never mentioned this before to anyone. Scene: EPCOT in Orlando, on the brick walkway between a walk-thru part with stores and such on either side and the part leading up to The Land. Date: June 2008. I was with my pregnant wife. Huge storm rolls in, black clouds, about to pour, when there was this unearthly deafening sound and bright light exploded. I opened my eyes and I was standing 30 feet or more away back under the covered walkway, unharmed. My wife said I had been standing right beside her, then I wasn't. It was too far to have run in the brief second of the explosion (I assume a lightning strike). Swear this happened as well as I could tell it.

I have very vivid memories of my great grandfather. I distinctly remember which room he lay in for months while being cared for by his family and what the layout of the room was like. I also have a memory of playing with him and him talking to me while I was being fully aware that he had cancer in the latest stages and understood that he would probably die soon. Thing is I only ever met him once in person and I was only 4 months old. My family has pointed out that I knew facts about his appearance that I could not possibly have known because there are close to no pictures of him. (like a big scar he had across his chest from an operation) I have no other memories from my early childhood. (In fact my memory about that time is so bad I don't even correctly recall things from my time in kindergarden.)

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did Was playing with my Cousin and a friend of ours outside. We were riding our bikes and had a bunch of fun, but couldn't explore that far from where I live l, since we were like 7 or 8 y/o. As we were cheerfully cycling down a long road behind a parking garage near my apartment, I started to slow down as I was getting tired of it. Both of them were continuing to cycle down the road as they haven't noticed me being left behind yet. You have to understand that the location of the road was right in between the parking garage (with 2 floors) and a fence which has only rails on the other side and was usually deserted. So once I stopped cycling, I could only turn tail or follow the road ahead. After reaching my limit, I simply stopped my bike mid way after a while and tried to catch some breath. While doing so something caught my eye on the backstairs of the parking garage, I tried to get closer to check out what it was out of curiosity. But boy was that a mistake. I spotted a man who seemed kneel down behind a wall of the backstairs. Didn't seem suspicious at first, however after a closer look I saw what seemed like knife covered in blood. My body froze and all I could feel was fear that went through my body, which felt like it lasted for minutes. The man just started to catch on with me standing on road and began to slowly stand-up and face my direction. I was somehow able to get my brain back to process and bolted down the street with any power I had left in me. After passing both my cousin and friend, as well as leaving a big distance to where I spotted him. I started to break down in tears and explaining what happened. No one would believe me, since they went back to check and found nothing strange. Got so traumatized from it, that I avoided the road until my mid teens. Tldr; saw a man with a knife covered in blood behind a parking garage while cycling as kid and no one would believe.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did When I was a kid I remember seeing a lady’s face in a doorway "grinning" at me, with what I assumed to be something brown covering her entire face and teeth. I would see her several times until we moved away when I was 5. Obviously my family didn’t see her but my mom got worried when I told her that I saw "the lady from the kiosk", which is what I called the lady after I dreamt of her falling down a flight of stairs in a small store not far from our house. And I s**t you not, my mom told me a few months ago that in the same store I was dreaming of, a woman had fallen down a flight of stairs and had her face torn on the way down, apparently being covered in dried blood when she was found, hence my description of her. Imagine the look on my face when I heard that lmao Also, apparently I kept talking to my mom about a man in the wall back then?? I don’t remember seeing a "man in the wall" but I do remember talking about him.

When I was little, maybe 7, the son of a lady who babysat my brother and I, cut his leg on our swing set. Green goo came out of his leg. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember the type of bolt it was, the cover is was missing to prevent cuts. I’m a dentist now (taken gross anatomy, dissected a human body, routinely in the OR for resections of crazy head and neck tumors). With the exception of gross infections, I’ve never seen green goo come out of someone. Let alone a healthy leg. It will never make sense to me. Ever.

Green goo could've been a sign of infection already present. Playing on a swing set with something sticking out, but hadn't bothered/ hurt anybody else, could be an indication that the infection was raging, the skin was taught and anything could've have just "popped" it like a bad pimple. Lucky for him that something did pop it. It could've gotten worse.

this just unlocked a memory I have of a classmate in 1st grade of elementary school. I remember he didn't go to school for like 2 weeks, but like in the middle of that time he and his mom went to talk to the teacher, and he had some strange disease in his skin. He had like a huge, bright purple lump/mole on his arm. It wasn't a bruise, but it was like, bumpy, like a huge amorphous wart. I'd never seen something like that before, but his mom explained to us, idk what explanation, and for all of my classmates and I it was enough. We didn't ask any further questions. He later came back like nothing happened and he was with us until 4th grade when he moved to another country. We never talked about it again. And it wasn't until I was in college or so that I remembered that episode, and to this day I still can't understand wtf was that disease supposed to be. I've googled "bright purple skin diseases" but I've never found any pictures that looked like what I saw on his arm.

And it can be pretty massive ones too. Some people describe them as big flock of birds but unrecognizable unless they come closer. Well, bees are good and in case they follow new queen they're also harmless, and it's good to know if you find them hanging on your house, just call local bee keeper, he will gladly bring them to new hive or relocate them, do never kill them please.

Swarms like that are very cool. The bees will spin in circles around the hive while waiting for the queen to select a direction. I've taken my daughter into the center of one of the clouds when my bees swarmed. It's a weird experience. The sound, and the sight of all the bees in flight is something else. It's also fairly safe, they are not at all aggressive.

In November of 2012, the day before the world was supposed to end, my buddy and I went up to the store to grab drinks. We no joke saw a full size airplane so low to ground we couldn't believe it. It was hovering above a street light and wasn't moving. Even weirder was when we got to the store as soon as we entered every single person we could see all turned their heads and started right at us, like we weren't supposed to be there. They stopped shortly after but damn was it the weirdest thing ever. Of course no one believes us.

The sky “go black” about 2 years ago. It was 7 am and I was off to work and the sky had that beautiful dark blue hue it does just as the sun is about to start rising. As I’m walking to my car in the drive way, the sky turned completely black and then I heard just a long prolonged trumpet sound. I thought the world was ending. The sound lasted for like 5 seconds and then everything went back to “normal”. It was insane and I still don’t understand what happened to this day.

I once had a migraine with all of my standard symptoms, but none of the pain. It was so bizarre (but in a good way, obviously). I had left work very early in the day as soon as I felt the throbbing in the left bottom portion of my skull—my sure sign that a migraine was about to take me down—and I got off the streetcar at my stop and couldn’t for the life of me figure out what I was supposed to do. I wandered into this cute little bath shop, and when the smell of all the products hit me, I remembered because even though I already had a very keen sense of smell, this was like walking into a vat of lilac-ish smelling bathing gel and my head just wanted to explode.

When someone gets found, you join the seeker to look for people, but you can’t tell them where they are. I was the seeker and I had just found one of my cousins, so we were walking around and looking for the rest. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone that looked exactly like my brother run past us at inhuman speed. I turned to look at my cousin and he had admitted that he saw the same thing. We found my brother later in the round, but he was at the other side of the park. Nobody believes either of us but both of us still remember it. Edit: no, we were not all ten years old. I remember years ago, working from home, and being on a conference call with headphones on. I was working in our upstairs spare room that faced directly on the staircase. I had the door open and, during a prolonged and quiet lull in conversation, distinctly hearing my husband come home from work (he works early and is off way before I am), and start walking up the stairs saying his usual “Hey Babe!” to let me know it’s him. I turned to give him the signal that I was on a work call, but no one was there. The call ended a few minutes later, and I went to look for him. He wasn’t there, and neither was his work van. I had not heard him leave. He got home about a half hour later. He had come directly from work. He had not been working close enough to have swung by home any time after he left for work that morning. I have no idea who it was that sounded just like him—-British accent and all—-and came up the steps saying “Hey Babe!”

This reminded me of when our son was living with us, we'd often go to bed before he came home. I often heard him walking in the hallway, but he said he hadn't been home. It was too loud to be the neighbor's cat on the roof, my only other guess.

The large bats tend to be fruit bats rather than insect-eating bats. I saw a bunch of them hanging from a tree in Senegal.

I saw a huge bat, too, flying around a lamp post. It was large enough to cover the whole light cover and created a disco ball effect as it flapped around. I found out there's a bat sanctuary near the vicinity.

My cousin saw this aswell but anyway, back in Pakistan my family owns a good amount of land and my uncle was building kinda far from most of the houses in our village, it wasn't that far but further than most houses were. The part of land he built his house on wasn't completely cleared out and he had a path going through the trees, he needed the path initially for vehicles to get in to bring building materials. Anyway I was walking past at night with my cousin and it was like 11 at night so not that late but it was pitch black bc it was December, in our village there had been a few people who claimed to have seen jinns in the area and while walking back I jokingly said lets go say hi even tho I knew they were asleep, I look down the path and saw someone there. I pointed it out to my cousin who shouted who's there, it disappeared then about 10 seconds later it reappeared significantly closer, I was so scared I nearly pissed myself (I was 7 at the time) We broke into a sprint and ran home. I couldn't sleep properly that night.

I had to check up: jinn /dʒɪn/ noun djinn; plural noun: djinn (in Arabian and Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than the angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to possess humans. Scary, no doubt.

No they're not, they have different mythology behind them & have different cultural significance. A djinn is closer to a demon of sorts that can possess people & animals. A skinwalker is an evil witch with the ability to possess animals or shapeshift into them.

Leaving a friend's house in rural Iowa. Taking a back road to my house. A paved road that is called "old 71" because it used to be the main highway, it runs parallel to "71". Nobody drives on old 71 unless they live in old 71. 3 identical black SUVs with pitch dark tinted windows, including windshield pass by me in the oncoming lane. They weren't speeding. They all had bright yellow license plates that said "Covert". Nothing in the news the next couple weeks. Still don't know who they were or what they were up to.

I was walking home behind my high school at night, and in the teachers break room I saw a cleaning lady pushing a cart and she went into the floor like she and the cart got onto an escalator and went down, this is in the teachers break room there are no escalators or ramps in there, I could understand her slowly descending for some weird reason but not the cart those things are solid.

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did Something that sure looked like a UFO. I'm pretty sure it was probably just a spotlight from the ground moving across the clouds, but even when I describe it that way people think I'm just imagining things. I also have no clue where a spotlight would've been in that part of town, so that complicates things.

Saw a black plane with backwards wings. But after all my research I can't find s**t about it. Edit: imma put more info on this comment: pitch black, backward wings, maybe like two years ago, northern Utah, flying south to north. I know planes like that existed, but none like that I know of in existence or in flying condition currently, and why here?

Unmanned flying wings and drones can be black. In history negative wing proved not suitable for piloted flights but it has several advantages for which they are rediscovered for unmanned flying. Good catch! Glad to see someone saw it!

Inverted wings on a prototype/test plane. Not unheard of but they aren't going to tell you about it when it's in testing phase. Unless they want funds. Anyway, it's almost always done in the desert.

I'm gonna make a guess on this one. If you saw someone in real life or on TV eat in the European way, without switching hands, you might have then dreamt that your dad did, and remembered the dream as if it were real life.

Maybe you learned by mirroring, you were looking at him and to you it looked like he had the knife in the left hand when it was actually the right hand, so you put it in your right hand? (Or vice versa.) That’s one reason why I learned to wear a watch on my right hand not my left.

I am right handed. When eating with knife and fork, I hold my fork in my left hand and my knife in my right hand and use my left hand to lift the food (on the fork) to my mouth. But when no knife is needed (I have cut all my food (for convenience) or food does not need to be cut), I hold my fork in my right hand. I also hold the fork in what I think that is the most convenient way at all times (one way if the food needs to be stabbed, another if the food needs to be lifted, and so on), and my brother insists that I am always holding the fork the wrong way!

30 Incredibly Bizarre Things People Saw Happen Yet Others Refuse To Believe They Did I was at my boyfriends house. We woke up and I made us bagels and cream cheese. I put mine in the toaster and walked his over to him. When I came back the toaster was propped up on its side stacked on something else. I certainly didn’t do it nor did I bump it as I walked away. When I left it was sitting flat on the counter toasting my bagel. I have no explanation for how it happened as he was in the backyard.

Had your bagels popped up? If the toaster is light and plastic, something heavy like two bagel halves can pop up kind of crooked and knock the toaster on its side. I had this happen years ago with a cheaper, lightweight toaster. If you like to toast bagels, you’ll need a heavier, more substantial toaster.
