40 Times People Were Stupid Enough To Do Something So Inappropriate That It Cost Them Their Job (New Pics)
With the economic crisis and inflation breathing down our backs, many employees hang onto their desks more than ever before. This is understandable, because prices of living are soaring with no end in sight, and that includes anything from rent, groceries, and gas to lifestyle.
Some people, however, take on a more chill approach to work. So chill that it borders on the verge of becoming jobless any minute. And in case they cross that line and mess up real bad, they end up on this corner of Reddit known as “Bye Bye Job.”
Created in 2020, the community is now home to 598k members coming in for the images, posts and stories of people losing their opportunities in life, whether it’s a job or a scholarship. Below we collected the most interesting posts shared on the group, so scroll down.

Screwed With The Natives And Found Out
The racist owner of the Grand Gateway Hotel said she is banning Native Americans from the property. Five tribal leaders signed a Notice of Trespass. Indicating the hotel has violated the terms of a Treaty made with the Sioux in 1868 based on the location of the hotel, and the racist comments made that they say violate article one of the treaty. They instructed the hotel and its subsidiaries to vacate the premises or be held liable.

I love that with vaccines it's 'my body, my choice' but if you're a woman wanting her medical choices to remain between her and her doctor, well... that just can't be allowed.
In your work life, the thought of getting fired for one reason or another has probably crossed your mind at least once. Even if it was a “what if” scenario that had no solid ground in reality, or even if you know all too well that one particular faux-pas could cost you the job contract.
According to recent data from Blind, an anonymous network for professionals, one in five respondents (21%) to the poll which asked “How often do you think about getting fired?” said they think about getting fired every day. An equal percentage of respondents (20%) said they think about being fired weekly or monthly and 131 respondents (6%) said they think about being fired every other day.

Wow did he really do that? I didn't see the footage but sometimes I worry I'm going to be mid-wave to someone and it will look like I'm doing that in a picture, lol. But if he really did...putting aside how horrible it is, what did he think was going to happen? All the work he did is flushed down the drain because he can't control himself. I'm glad he lost everything!

There are many reasons why an employee can get themselves fired. But what’s interesting is that employees and employers have somewhat differing opinions about what causes people to be fired from jobs, this research from Airtasker showed.
Airtasker’s report was based on data from a survey of 831 individuals who have lost a job and 93 employers, and it had some interesting findings. Respondents who have been fired from a job say they think it occurred because of personality conflicts (30% cite this as a key reason), because their boss was a jerk (23%), because of office politics (19%), and because of poor performance (18%).

Trucker Fired For Participating In Ottawa Protests With Company Truck While Displaying Right Wing Terrorist Flag
The convoy was in Ottawa for three weeks, making noise, polluting, and some visitors harassed locals. I refuse to call it a "truckers'" protest -- most truckers were on the road, working hard. Plus the protest leaders had a petition online that called for firing the government -- and for themselves running Canada alongside the Senate (who are government appointees).
Meanwhile, employers say the last person they fired was let go because of attitude issues (57% cite this as a key reason), because of personality issues (41%), because the person was not completing their job as described (40%), and because of poor attendance (34%).
To find out more about the procedure of getting fired and the hold it takes on both an employee and an employer, previously we spoke with Dawn Moss, the founder of “Your Interview Coach” set up in 2013 to help both candidates and hiring managers through the complexities of the recruitment and selection process.

“It’s a less than easy process to fire someone in the U.K., both legally and ethically,” Dawn said. “In terms of the process, there are lots of factors to take into consideration; reason for dismissal, performance, capability, gross misconduct, length of service, etc.” Although Dawn reminded us that she’s not an employment lawyer, she said that these situations can get complex.

“For a manager, it’s tough as they were the person to hire them in the first place and I can imagine there are a number of emotions attached to letting someone go. In my experience, most managers didn’t like getting to the point of firing someone and most have probably supported the person to get up to speed prior to starting the dismissal process,” Dawn explained.
This is why the hiring process is absolutely essential to get right the first time. The career coach also noted that the amount of management and HR time it takes to manage a poor performer is draining.
Choice And Consequences
UNMISSED by colleagues. --- Covid veteran MD, back in research (Long Covid related, but at least not actively wiping up people horking out lungs because of nurses like this.)
Thank you for your work. My cousin was a nurse in a COVID unit and it broke her heart every day. I can't fathom how much we owe to y'all.
Load More Replies...She's so dumb that she's actually proud of her stupidity. Thinks it's principled.
Load More Replies...Oh no , definitely she's unamerican, retrumplicans are not Americans, they are some sub species of bottom feeding soul sucking parasites
Load More Replies...One of my fellow nurse is an antivax due to his clergyman. hard to understand people with college degree simply believe a random crook.
Unafraid? I don't think any of us that got the vax were afraid, it's just common sense and the right thing to do, you lot were the ones crying about having to wear a mask for five minutes in a shop.
Kind of funny how us nurses who did get vaccinated and boosted still managed to get Covid. And then we were told due to staffing shortages, we still needed to come to work WITH COVID because they fired people who chose simply not to get vaccinated. Golly did those vaccines work! I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count how many vaccinated colleagues still ended up with Covid. Really glad I got the vaccine only to end up with Covid and threats of the charge of abandonment if I didn’t come to work while I had Covid. Funny how the CDC admitted that masks really weren’t effective in stopping the spread. Funny how people think this woman is uneducated after she spent years in school and years dedicated to her profession. Funny how we derailed our own economy and education system for a virus with a 98%+ survival rate. Really rustles my jimmies how unbelievably hateful and vicious the left has become. But what do I know, I’m just an RN with 6 years of schooling and 11 years experience. 🤷🏼♀️
Load More Replies...Well Registered Nurse Amanda, why did you go into this profession? If it was to help people then go ahead and give up your license. You are being selfish and no one needs a selfish and uneducated nurse to care for them.
Lmao the CDC literally told us, after our organization had forced out some amazing nurses and medical staff, that we could come to work even if we had Covid. Vaccinated and boosted here and I still got Covid. And I still went to work because we actually do love our patients and want to help people. It’s just too bad that with corona viruses, mutation is always an inevitable outcome, hence so many people who did get vaccinated (myself included), ended up getting corona anyway. Oh, and those masks? Yeah, the CDC admitted they don’t really work stopping the spread of the virus unless it’s a medically fitted N95 and above. So you’re clapping that a nurse lost her job because she didn’t get a vaccine that inevitably didn’t work and now hospitals are running skeleton crews, providing poorer and poorer patient care, and people in my profession are leaving in droves due to burn out. Just think about celebrating this poor woman’s lay off next time you go to the hospital and get subpar care.
Load More Replies...Unsympathetic. The number of medical "professionals" who are coming out as anti-vax is just astounding.
I am a RN with 11 years under my belt. I got vaccinated and boosted and guess what! I got Covid! After our organization’s vaccine mandate that ended up forcing out quite a few amazing nurses and other medical staff, we were left with a skeleton crew. Fast forward a few months and the CDC is like, ‘eyyyyyy if your hospital is understaffed and your employee has Covid, as long as they wear a mask, they can come to work’. Our organization forced out an already thin crew only to do a 180 (as per the CDC) and said ‘come to work, even if you’re sick’. Not only did the vaccines not work, but unless you’re properly fitted and pass the Aspartame test with a true N95 mask, masks didn’t help stop the spread. The amount of hate and viciousness in this thread is amazing. I wish you and everyone else could have been in my shoes while I worked 12-14 hour shifts six days a week while I had Covid. And you know why I did it? Because I love and care for my patients and my colleagues.
Load More Replies...Let me update that sign for you: IDIOT-- UNINTELLIGENT, UNTHINKING, UNHINGED, UNEMPLOYED
Aren't nurses supposed to get other vaccines? Like flu and childhood vaccines? I mean here in New York it's a law for flu shot for medical related jobs you also have to get ppd shot if you want specific jobs (non-medical) with elderly and special needs so it's nothing new needing a vaccine.
(I'm a nurse) How can you work as a nurse and completely disregard all the peer reviewed clinical studies that have proven that VACCINATION in general helps the population? Yes the covid vaccine was created quickly BUT they did have to meet the same amount of clinical trials that every other modern vaccine has had to undertake. They were able to do these studies in an accelerated time frame due to the pandemic. My mum has cancer and shame on you for putting people like my mum at risk- SHAME ON YOU for REJECTING all the basic principles you learnt as a nurse. SMH.
I don’t understand these people who want to work in fields that conflict with their values like this. Oh no the church wouldn’t let me be a priest because I’m an atheist!
She should lose her nursing license too. She clearly doesn't know sh!t about medical care or anything at all

All these people should make their own hospital and treat each other, see how their pseudo science works out.
I work in healthcare.. We are required to get a whole roster of vaccines, it blew my mind how many people balked at just this *one*. I know at least one person who genuinely believed that there was a tracker chip in the vaccine. I guess my work in the veterinary field actually using microchips showed me how ridiculous that was. Microchips are kinda huge compared to what you get in a vaccine. They req. a bigger needle even.. Just bizzaro.
No, she worked as a nurse but she is clearly not professional and clearly does not care about other people's health.

She ought be unemployed if not ready to save lives. Instead she wants to put her patients into jeopardy. She looks kind. Did she drink them pink juice lies? Sorry for her.
Are we sure this isn't sarcasm? She seems awfully happy about being unemployed and doesn't seem to be blaming liberals for losing her job.
"I'm so proud that my idiotic choices have left me jobless! By the way, can I have a job?"
I start nursing school in a month. My first clinical is veterans home.most vulnerable people who need us to keep them safe. I cannot imagine walking around proud to put everyone at risk of DEATH... SHE SHOULD NOT BE IN MEDICAL.
A family member of mine is a nurse. After I got COVID (I am vaxxed) from a vaccinated coworker and barely experienced any symptoms, my family member was yelling about "her body, her choice". When I asked why, she said the vaccines don't work cuz I got COVID. I was like "did I die tthough?" She had to get vaxxed to keep her job, but I worry she doesn't understand science as a practicing nurse.
Yeah. Australia has STANDARDS for their medical staff. Paramedic went the same way
"'COVID-19 Amanda' has left the profession". I wonder how many people she could have infected if she had been an asymptomatic carrier?
Wow, you really owned yourself there Amanda. I'm glad nurses like her are not allowed near patients.
I like how she is even stating unemployed so proudly haha... Well, hope she enjoys that 3 second high of "fighting the system" XP
whenever someone says the term, ‘jab’ i feel like i wanna vomit. ‘unjabbed’ is even worse. jab sounds like how a gross unwashed stiff cotton shirt feels
It amazes me how less than a month ago you people are still celebrating this. As a nurse, I worked through the entire pandemic, was vaccinated, boosted, did everything I was told to do and still got Covid. These vaccine mandates have left hospitals so short staffed that the CDC said f*ck it and told us we should come to work while we had Covid as long as we masked up. At the same time, the CDC admitted that masks generally were not effective stopping the spread. We have always been exhausted and overextended but now, the quality of patient care has decreased because of forced staffing shortages. So, we have vaccines that don’t work, 60% of small businesses that had to shut down due to mandatory lock downs will never open their doors again, remote learning for children has caused a 50%+ decrease in test scores, and a huge increase in mental health issues in both children and adults—all for a virus that has over a 98% survival rate. So much for ‘my body, my choice’. Y’all are hateful.
The vaccine didn't work anyways , smart lady,,,, Just a bunch of sheep from a world experiment getting their "vaccine!!" . The vaccine didn't work! And a bunch of braindead folks who listen to the media are going to alllllll down vote this lmao
Good for her. The mandates surrounding the alleged vaccine (i.e., drug trial) were pretty much on par with sexual harrassment: do this or lose your job. What's right about that? And where's the fairness? Kudos to her for thinking for herself and being grown up enough to take the consquences.
Unfortunately, no. One nurse in the city I live in claimed a religious exemption. This individual has already caught COVID twice in the past two years, so the other nurses in the unit have had to scramble to pick up their slack each time, and even knowing that the individual isn't even a religious person, the administrators' hands are tied. So frustrating.
Load More Replies...so is she brave or dumb, I'm kinda on the fence. I mean i get some of the reasons why because of the reactions people are getting from the vaccinations, but those are extremely rare..
What? I would be livid if my clinic had unvaccinated staff. Not sure what finding out after the fact has to do with it.

For those who’re wondering, Dawn confirmed that there’s definitely a right and a wrong way to fire an employee. “There are companies that don’t follow any process and unfortunately, if an employee has served less than 24 months, they cannot usually file for unfair dismissal. There are some exceptions, if an employee feels they are being dismissed because of a protected characteristic, for example,” she explained.

“However, if it’s performance-related or a personality clash, it can be fairly easy to dismiss someone without any warning. Most reputable companies will want to follow a structured process. As mentioned previously, most managers I’ve worked with want to support the individual first and dismissal is a last resort,” Dawn concluded in a previous interview.
