50 Times ‘Covidiots’ Proved That Human Stupidity And Ignorance Knows No Limits
When coronavirus turned into one of the greatest public health crises back in 2020, things like we knew them before changed beyond recognition. Not only did toilet paper become a hot commodity, but basically, a new kind of dictionary was born to reflect the current times. Hence, the term ‘covidiot’ emerged to refer to someone who, as Urban Dictionary puts it, “ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety. A person who hoards goods, denying them from their neighbors.”
The term has been in use a lot lately, and this is partly due to the fact that, no matter how much worse the pandemic may get, some members of society still act as if not a single thing has changed. The worst of it is that engaging in such behaviors like throwing decadent parties, refusing to wear face coverings, and calling Covid-19 a hoax not dissimilar to 5G puts everyone at risk.
So this time, we take a look at some of the most irresponsible Covid examples that should work as a handbook of what not to do during times of coronavirus crisis. After you're done, check out our previous post with more shameful Covid deniers who refuse to follow the rules and common sense.

Bill Murray Said It Best
To find out more about the surge in Covid denialism during the worldwide pandemic, Bored Panda reached out to Dibs Baer, a New York Times bestselling author of "Lady Tigers in the Concrete Jungle." Dibs said that the reason why there’s still so much Covid denialism has to do with “too many mixed messages in different parts of our country and the fact that “a lot of people don’t believe in basic facts or science.”
The LA-based celebrity journalist and book author thinks that people are in denial because they can’t deal with the loss that’s happening. “The number is so high it almost doesn’t seem real. Overall, it’s mind-boggling. I’ve had two friends lose their fathers recently to COVID. It’s real and it’s devastating.”
When it comes to responding to Covid deniers, Dibs believes that being armed with information is a good way to go. “Like, I live near LA, where someone dies every 8 minutes from COVID right now. I might say something like, 'Hey, did you know that 1 in 50 people have COVID in our neighborhood? I wonder if you’re that one person? Probably, since I’ve been around 50 people today and you’re the only one who didn’t have a mask on!'” He added that he enjoys being passive-aggressive, which is not exactly the same as plain old aggressive.
Why Do People Think Not Wearing Mask Is Cool?
Safety Precaution Is Not 100%
Ok Den
Dibs also believes in calling people out in a safe way, if possible.“I had to go to the doctor this morning and I couldn’t believe it, but there was a guy sitting in the waiting room without a mask! And the nurse asked him to put one on and he stomped his feet like a big baby. I was about to get up and go help her when he finally put one on reluctantly.” Dibs believes the guy thought it wasn’t manly to put it on.
When it comes to humiliating ‘Covidiots’ by calling them out, video taping can also work, according to Dibs, but it can turn scary if you pick the wrong person on the wrong day. “I find it easier to yell at strangers than neighbors and people I know.” Having said that, Dibs concluded that the best weapon against Covid deniers is information.

My Local Mega Church Posted This Last Weekend. Revealing... If Nothing Else
Gosh some Christians are really giving us a bad name for the rest, my family is connected with 3 lovely churches and they all require you to wear masks, social distance the seats, and offer ways for you to stream the church services from your home. Two even take everyones temperatures before you enter. Our family personally feels safest staying at home and so does at least half of each of the churches we actively are with. Not all of us are making idiotic decisions!
I agree with you. Our church just watches sermons posted by the pastors on YouTube and the kids do a Zoom sermon.
Load More Replies...People eating/drinking in a church? Being an atheist I would never do such a thing visiting a church...
Load More Replies...Sigh...in indonesia churches and mosques had to closed down until things got back to normal,we had to resort to online masses and these people...wow just wow...
It also reveals they are disrespectful slobs throwing trash on the floor.
Man, what a bunch of slobs! Look at that floor! These are not clean people.
Even the one guy with a mask is wearing it down at his mouth instead of over his nose. Wonder how many of them tested positive, and are still alive—-for now if they keep this reckless behavior up.
People who mask up but don't social distance are still morons.
An outbreak early on was traced to a megachurch in France. And still....
Yes. With that weight, she probably has diabetes, and hypertension, so I don't really understand why she looks so happy. She's high risk.
Load More Replies...I see two people wearing masks. They are the smartest ones there.
Churches should be illegal. Religion should be illegal or treated as what it is - false news and terrorism.
We can expect that donations will drop markedly as members become ill and die.
again, anyone wanna count the masks? 1...2...3... oh wait but most of them aren't really on...
Excuse me, eating and drinking while attending worship services!? And who's going to clean up all that trash on the floor. You people aren't Christians you are the misled following the beguiler.
well they are probably very keen to meet God... this way they may jump the queue...
I thought it was a football stadium at first because of all the crap on the floor.
Sadly...not all churches are like the one I attend. We have been having all ZOOM services, no in person, not even outside. Everyone believes in COVID-19 and its dangers. People like this are constantly setting a bad image for the truly religious - it makes people immediately believe that christians are idiots, which is so sad :(
"God will save us from this plague, sent to punish all YOU sinners!", screams the gluttonous woman on the end row, with her snout in the trough of sugar........

If all the western countries learned a thing of two from Asian(Japan and South Korea), we would have prevent millions of cases.
New Zealand and Australia did nail it, but in New Zealand’s case, at least, we did see that the Asian countries were the ones to look to. We knew we couldn’t rely on the US and UK. :(
Bruce, that depends where they live. Some states have never had case numbers that required a mask mandate. My state has an indoor mask mandate currently. Your family should pick some masks up, just in case.
The UK is an island, with the worst Covid death rate in Europe. The Australian government saved them, not their location. Also Japan isn’t doing so great right now, not a great example of doing it right.
Interesting that Bruce Mills family does not own a mask considering they are now mandatory in shops, places of worship, gyms and most other indoor areas- at the risk of a fine... Sincerely- an Australian who DOES wear a mask

My family in Australia has never worn a mask. They dont even own them. They 'nailed it' by being an island.

Canada didn't do quite as well as we would have liked, but despite being just across the border from the USA, we have 440 deaths/million instead of 1134.
China is handling it pretty well like Hong Kong, Taiwan, and even Whuan after the outbreak.
Ellie yes
With people like Vaughan Starr who mock those who follow the current scientific information, and distribute misinformation, doing anything productive is extremely difficult. I live in a country where people refuse to wear masks and believe they are invincible. Surely it won't hurt them. No matter how many just like them die, they will never believe it. Educated people are often no better. This will last longer than necessary. More people will die and businesses close because people refuse to do simple things like wear a mask. They complain about the economic impact, but refuse to part of the solution. The actions of each and every person matters. Wear a mask, avoid large gatherings, spend more time at home. Do you understand your role in this world event? The damage your actions cause?
Unfortunately, Japan's cases are on the rise.
@Seabeast - Hence the phrase “on the rise”
But still nowhere near as high as the countries in the top twenty for deaths and infections per capita. Japan is something like 131st with 31 deaths/million. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Seabeast what
Vietnamese here. We control the outbreak so well that there is literally no community case right now. Mask, regional lockdown and case-tracing do work.
Taiwan absolutely owned it. No local cases for over 6 months. Only one case because some idiiot pilot from New Zealand didn't want to wait the full 2 weeks of quarantine to get some Tinder ass >.> Aside from that, life is back to normal in a sense over there
People need to get that this is not about them, it is not about any single incident ... of course, if I go to the store without a mask, each one time in itself will have a low likelihood of me catching the virus. But I have to go to the grocery store about once a week, so this adds up. There are about 500000 people living in a radius of 20 miles around me, and in every household, one does about the same every week ... the low likelihood certainly will lead to some infections, it just isn't every other week for everyone, only for some. Damned, everybody knows how to avoid contact, everybody could know it works, and the masks are just a little uncomfortable, something everybody can endure... Not that hard. Not that much that is aksed. A little compassion and reason - so little I always have thought everyone has it - is all it takes. Antimaskers are assholes.

Me too. they should all catch it and die. The problem is all the inocents that they will infect.
