30 Times People Were Surprised By How Much Of A Jerk They Encountered

Jesus! I would completely lose my cool if I worked at this store! Who the hell lets there child do this and then walks away without making them clean it up!

When I was a kid, and we went to the toy store, my brother and I would always end up putting toys back on the shelf from other kids. The manager was always surprised! I explained that I was trying to make less work for his staff! He was surprised and very appreciative!

I wonder what the real story is. There must be more to it than this.

As someone who works at a Goodwill, I can tell you this is an extreme version of what we deal with every day. I once had a little guy start picking up toys when he saw me cleaning up and I praised him to death. He was five. I do hear some parents telling kids to put things back, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

As someone with 27 years of retail experience, I can honestly say that this does happen. Most of what is there will simply have to be trashed because of missing parts. Sometimes this happens because people are spread thin in stores and cannot watch every customer every minute. Another thing that happens is someone will act as decoy and keep the worker occupied while the kids, both small and adult-sized, trash the place. I've been the victim of that one. I've also had entire families move as much merchandise as they can carry from one aisle to another in an entire sections of the store. They were not there to purchase anything, just to make a mess. After moving stuff around in about half the store, they would leave. Management was too lazy to stop them, nor would they allow us to do it.

Parenting should be illegal for some.

Have they not heard of "Nice to see. Good to hold. Once broken (in this case Opened), considered sold."?

If this was from black Friday or x-mas eve, that's typical mob behavior. But if that was from one family, why weren't they stopped long before it got to that point?

Anybody who lets his/her kids get away with c**p like this should be neutered! The kids should be "fixed," too.

That is disgusting, any parent who allows their children to do this should be ashamed of themselves. I would be extremely embarrassed if this was my kids (although I wouldn’t allow my kids to do this in the first place).

I HATE parents who just let their kids run around with no repercussions. They'd make a mess of the store I used to work at and they make a mess at the library I currently work at. How hard is it to watch your children, it is not the workers job to watch them.

Not to excuse this bad behavior, but I've seen thrift store toy aisles and I'm gonna bet it already looked half this bad before they even got there.

I really hope they made the parents pay for all that. It's all been opened, how are they supposed to sell it all at regular price?

OMG, As the store owner, I will let the parents clean the mess, and if they don't, take a picture and make it viral as warning for other shop owner.

We don't know the backstory to this particular picture, and these children might not have caused all this mess on their own. I can confirm the parents might permit or encourage the children to make a mess so that store employees are focusing on, watching the children, while the parents shoplift from other parts of the store.

I would be pressing charges. That's as good as theft.

my first real job was at Zayre. I was in stationery. I cleaned up my aisle and went back to clean up the birthday cars etc. When I came back my aisle was a mess. Not as bad as this but looked like someone messed it on purpose. I didn't last long at this job. Manager said too many guys coming in.

Some people's lack of respect for others & themselves blows my mind. This is utterly disgraceful.

If the parents are okay with their kids making this big of a mess I'm a store, I don't even want to imagine what their home looks like.

Make them pay..their children just bought the store for charity!!

I have seen this, especially at Christmas time in Target and K-Mart. The parents turn a blind eye to what their kids are doing. One lady I saw was taking photos of her child sitting on the floor among all the toys.

This happens almost every day at the Walmart store where I used to work. The parents would drop their kids off in the toy dept. while they did their shopping, but when Mom or Dad came to pick their kids up and they didn't buy them the toys they picked out, oh the screaming and tantrums could be heard all over the store!!! Good grief parents, the store is not a day care!

I fell like this is the result of many people messing up the shelves...Like a rampage of stupid shoppers during a big sale. Not just one family. But who knows.

I really. believe that the store is to blame for this one. Either the employees did not care enough to clean it before it got worse, or the store didn't post enough employees to be working.

As a parent if my kid done anything like this I would kick their a*s!!

I am actually wonderuing if it was only those peeps in the picture that did this amount of desctruction. I find it hard to believe that just two kids are able to do this without store staff noticing. Maybe they are just wandering through Black Friday sale mess?
