You might think you're not a cat person but the second you lay your eyes on those furry little divas and get to witness their grace firsthand, you become one. Just like these 50 folks.
Just like Twitter user Ruby's (@roobeekeane) dad. At first, he was like 'No no no' but when he heard the 'meow meow meow' he quickly changed his mind. Now the man is showering them with attention and care, spoiling the critters whenever he gets a chance to.
After Ruby tweeted pics of the new friends, they quickly went viral. Now, over 72K likes later, people are sharing their own similar stories, telling how felines are finding ways into their loved ones' hearts.

It is a wonderful thing to have a good memory of someone, even if only in the telling. My husband was a similar person. I try to make sure my children hear all the great stuff , too.
My wonderful Husband never had a cat before we met. I’m “ allowed 2 cats”🤪 ya we have 3. He snowblows a path from our house to the chicken house in case we need to get anything out of that shed ?? FYI we don’t have chickens any more and 1 of our kitties goes out there to play under the shed in winter lol,ya he doesn’t like cats lol x100 😻
Truly a very kind and caring man. Remember this "You can tell a man's character by the way he treat's animals." Your father is one of a kind, a animal lover who knows how it hurts to lose those you love dearly. What a kind, loving soul.
"My dad's kind, caring and funny. He can always cheer me up or calm me down," Ruby told Bored Panda.
The family had a very old, sick cat who died in 2018. "It was so sad and traumatic and my dad said 'can we have a year off from having cats?' Little did he know my mum and I had already put down a deposit to adopt two kittens.
Our first family dog past away 4 years ago and we buried her in our grandparent's house. whenever we come to visit them, we also talk to Daisy.
This is where my beloved Chimoltrufia, who passed after 19 wonderful years with me, is buried. Now it has still more little dolls, gifts from some friends. IMG-201905...7-jpeg.jpg
"You adopt a cat knowing their lifespan is shorter than yours and you're probably going to be very sad at some point. But the joy and friendship they bring is worth the heartbreak," Ruby explained. "After our old cat died, I think my dad forgot how fun it is to have cats. Also, Lucas and Dustin immediately loved him and sat on him for hours so he didn't have a choice but to bond with them."
my mom doesnt want another cat but she said that last time so now we have 8 lol
My sister is the same. At one time she had 15. The cats she had kept having kittens and she couldn't give them away. When all but the last one of that brood died she said she wouldn't be getting any more. Then some strays entered her life one by one. She has five kittens and one very patient older cat now. And it wouldn't surprise me if that number increased.
Load More Replies...OMGOODNESS! This is too cute! Sounds like my older brother years and years ago. We took in a little stray, Penny. He was a funny looking little guy with ears like Dumbo's! He was also very intelligent, and did the darndest things he learned on his own. Penny went to bed at 10at 10:00 sharp every night, he would grab his blanket, and howl in the middle of the floor until the T.V. was turned off, and we tucked him into his little box with warm blankets in it on the front porch. The porch was glassed in, so it was warm in the winter. Our oldest brother who was quite a few years older than the two of us, would get upset with us for babying that darn dog so much, and telling us to leave him alone and go to bed! A few minutes later, we hear him speaking to Penny, "Is the baby comfortable, oh, you need to have more blankets to warm you up?" We got a huge kick out of this tough guy, he was the one who wanted the job of tucking the dog in bed. A memory I will never forget, in the late 50's.
We who love animals have a cat or dog, they pass on, we have such heartache, I think most of us do get another pet, but some people can't handle the pain, they refuse to have another pet, I have had several pets, when one passes on, I need the love and laughter, I must have more to love and pamper, I say it is part of life, we love and lose, that's part of life !!!
My Hubby claimed he was not a cat person, rescued a tiny orange ball of fluff out of the middle of Black Friday traffic and while I was cautioning my heart saying we needed to find his owner Hubby immediately said they did not deserve to own our cat since they left him in such and dangerous place. He bought a stocking for what would become our cat thankfully I did not find them. That was 3 years ago and our fluffy boy Floki has a much fuller Christmas stocking and a present or two under the tree. I was told by the not a cat person last night I need to wrap Floki's presents too!
Ruby's dad already knows that he's internet-famous and thinks it's hilarious. She also tried explaining it to their cats: "I showed Lucas the post and he batted my phone out of my hand and sniffed it a lot. I think the fame has gone to his head."
The two cats who are responsible for starting this whole thread, Lucas and Dustin, have their own Instagram now. You can follow their fun adventures @CoatedSphynxBoiz!
Mine too. And tries to help me fight dragons in a game i play
Load More Replies...Look how stupid dogs are, you would never do anything like this, would you?
My mother 'hated cats'. I brought the diabetic girl with me while visiting mom because she had to have 2 insulin shots a day and eat special food. Nobody to do this but me, so... I stumble out of the bedroom one Sunday morning to find the little stinker in the sink, drinking from the faucet, because I'd mentioned she liked running water, and Mom, who 'hated cats', had picked her up, running the water on the far side of the divided sink so she wouldn't get her paws wet! She then opened a can of tuna so the brat would 'eat better'. Pussy whipped, mom.
One of my two cats, loves t.v. anything that moves, she wants to catch !!!
My cat likes to put his paws on the screen when we're watching documentaries about big cats (lions, tigers.) He will stare at them for as long as they're on screen.
A couple of mine do, too. One likes birds, another squirrels. And one tries to get in the TV to find them. Go figure.
Load More Replies...I love that show and don't really know why. LOL
Load More Replies...That confirms 100% that he hates cats... Apparently only on weekdays.
No one can resist a kitten! It's just impossible. And this kitten has done his job well He's created another cat lover.
My mother also 'hated cats.' Actual conversation (with the diabetic cat) who is stalking back and forth across her lap as she pets her. Stroke. "I don't like cats." Stroke. "What are you doing in my lap?' Stroke. "Get down. I won't pet you." Stroke...
Cats have a way of getting under your skin. Poor Dad couldn't resist.
When my dad was dying his puggle was diagnosed with cancer. Dogs were the only creatures my dad felt comfortable around, and he was very kind to them. Our prayers came true, she outlived him oh, not by much, but he was spared the pain of losing her.
Awww..not related to this but we accidentally killed a tiny chipmunk in our heavy duty rat trap in our kitchen. It was the same chipmunk my husband tried to befriend when he would feed the squirrels in the yard. It was so sad he had the dead chipmunk in his hands almost crying. He buried it and says hi when we walk past the grave.
He knew she would break his heart, we all do and we all surrender to unconditioned love.
I adore Pugs, so sweet, funny, and literally loves everybody! Dad needs another Puggy rescue!
he couldn't resist the cuteness. he wanted the pleasure all to himself.
One is a 'muddled'paw: The toes didn't separate quite right. (One of mine has this, too. Front feet normal, back muddled. And he's a Hemmingway, too, which I *think* this one is. The muddled foot's got a projection like the extra 'thumb'.)
Load More Replies...I love when animals cross their paws. My dog passed this June and Boo did it all the time!
Same, except i spent $100 bucks on a cat house, a cat bed, and a bunch of friskis
Sure, but hubby would be the first one upset if Sockface wasn't around! So sweet!
Well maybe they have dog poop stuck to the soles and he likes that familiar smell? His jeans are dirty too =D =D Just messin with you dad =D =D
Load More Replies...Dad passed out, and the critters decided to snuggle. The cat decided to play King of the Mountain.
That's my dad, my cat Bob and my puppy Teddy. You can follow Teddy on Instagram Teddy_Gallagher19
That's not a dog, that's a furry stuffed animal with the cutest face EVER, and Kitty is beautiful!
That's my puppy, follow him on Instagram Teddy_Gallagher19
Load More Replies...Looks like a pretty tight threesome there. And the dog is smiling so they're a happy group.
Funny how people think they hate cats, until you have one, then they become instant cat people! I had a boyfriend from Scotland who was like that, was not a cat man at all! Then I brought home a beautiful little Siamese mix kitty that stole his heart. He wouldn't allow me to take her back home with me when I moved back to my state. He kept her, because she and the Scots were both surly and they were just alike! I never in my life saw him tolerate anything like he did that cat! She lived to be 22 years old.
Isn't it amazing how quickly things change when a tiny sweet and adorable kitten comes in? Before you know it, there's 2 or more kitties joining the family. I call it kitten cure....it works every time!!!
And the kitten has this smug 'so there' look on its face. Right on, baby!
Too funny! It is amazing the affect animals will have on a person when they win you over.
I told my mother her grandkids from me had four feet and fur, and live with it.
Load More Replies...I see nothing odd with this. My sister's dogs have always known me as Auntie and my son's dog knows me a Grandma. Nothing strange there.
Of course you can't live properly as a cat until you have seen a coconut
one in middle has beautiful coat but then again all cats are beatiful.
Indeed they are! Even if they are dogs, like the one in the middle ))
Load More Replies...Of course, he doesn't want to disturb the kitties. They are all sleeping!
Yeah, mom would open a can of tuna instead of the cat food. "I meant it for me, but I dropped it on the floor." (Right, mom.)
Another conquest made So far, I think it's the kitties who are winning over the cat haters.
The black and white cat appears to be eating off the floor. Sardine carpets, oh dear.
We have two of those chairs. For our kids. But our almost 19 year old cat sleeps in them.
This should be higher! He got the same chair for the kitty!!!! So they have matching chairs!!!!! 😭😍
All it takes is a little time and patience, and the animal is finally home!
That is exactly what I was going to write.
Load More Replies...This looks like a Bombay cat. So pitch black all over with the greenest eyes. Just gorgeous!
Things are so much easier once people realise it's the cat who will decide if they're a cat person or not!
Also I've heard that if a person doesn't like cats and won't make eye contact, in cat language that's actually a sign of affection, which is why they always seem to love people who 'hate' them.
Load More Replies...We had a horrible, ugly recliner in our living room for years that we couldn't get rid of because it belonged to our cat, Mo. Cats make the rules.
I prefer to call my self a cats' servant.....but maybe I am just kidding myself.
Load More Replies...He still might hate them, the creepy cats just saw their chance to invade whilst he was asleep!
If he REALLy hated them, they'd both be asleep on top of him. They're cats.
Load More Replies...He decided that he and the cats have something in common they can do together and enjoy! Napping!
Those are his naptime buddies not just cats so it makes it all different!
I wish I could do this but my cat hates other cats and would probably try to kill it.
Male or female? Try a little kitten. Cats need a bff, too. And kittens kick in their care instincts.
Load More Replies...The soothing purr of a new rescued kitty helps with the grief of losing an old friend. A heart full of love simply expands to accommodate more love. No love is ever lost.
But that particular dog is so sweet, he had to make an exception, obviously! :-D
That was a different one. A lot of cats like to do this, though, because, you know, everything you bring into your house belongs to them!
Load More Replies...“Dad, it’s your fault my cat is fat!” “But I’ve only given her love.”
It looks to me like his name is Preston or something similar in addition to Bubba. I like it when each member of a household has their own names for the pets in the house.
Rats make great pets. They are very smart and have the cutest personality. My daughter brought two brothers home from her vet technician program....of course they are domesticated rats. But they are sweetest little boys ever!
Load More Replies...That's heart warming. My Dad also suffered with Alzheimer's. When things got really bad and he ended up in the hospital, my sister was worried about whether she'd be able to take care of him in the house because of him now being bedridden. While the EMTs were taking my Dad into his room, her dog Susie started barking from the next bedroom. My Dad, eyes closed, shouts "Hush!" And the dog piped down. My sister knew then everything was going to be fine.
Was he feelin' the force? (Sorry - saw the Star Wars bits behind him!)
Awww.... Cocker Spaniels! Don't see them so often anymore. Great dogs :)
My mom always says that she doesn't want any cats inside, but she always feeds any stray who gets her to regularly feed them, eventually inviting them in to stay. My sister and brother are both allergic. After a new stray moves in, Mom keeps them out of certain rooms, so that my siblings can visit without having to drug up on antihistamines.
My husband didn't want a dog. Now he has made doggie his own song called Tiny Dog that he sings to him when he thinks I can't hear it.
Cat's are SUCH a******s they'll force you to love them. Resistance is futile.
My parents didn't want a cat when I grew up. But after a while she was sleeping in the frying pan (yes, weird) and dad would delay cooking dinner because he didn't want to wake her up.
YoyoSthlm: Your dad has been properly trained like the rest of us.
Load More Replies...My husband, who didn't want a dog, now walks her 2+ miles everyday, and took pics of her to show the ladies in his office. 20190505_2...c5125a.jpg
My aunt swears she hates all animals but shes rescued 3 dogs, 2 are still alive and they are the happiest lil spoiled fur balls. Still to this day, after having dogs for 7 years, if you tell her "you know you love them" she will still reply "I'm not an animal person but I only take care of them"...but I know she does.
I love cats. One of my favorite things about cats is that they all have unique personalities.
Here's my story. My brother found our cat on the driveway, it was like Jack Sparrow (we named him that because that clip on his ear made him look like a pirate) had found us. My parents at first didn't want him because they thought that he and our dog Cole would not get along, but about 3 years later, my cat loves our dog, rubs against him and even grooms him on occasion. My parents also love Jack, and spoil him (and the dog) every day.
The clip on his ear probably meant he had been neutered by an organization that traps/neuters/re-releases.
Load More Replies...My husband was reluctant to cats, thus he said if a cat, then a maine c**n. Now every morning when he leaves work he has to make the bed, or the lady cat yells at him, and when he does, she comes, lays down and he can rub, scratch and pet her all over. They have to have their special time, otherwise she yells at him. If asked what he's up to, he says "oh, nothing, just uhm.. preparing for work" :D Oh, and she doesn't allow me to pet her much, not to mention everything else she allows him to do :D
My father, rest his soul, never was a cat or dog person, then one day this stray terrier showed up and my dad actually built a dog house for him!!
Every day without fail, after dinner dad would sleep in his chair in the living room--and every time the poodle slept across his lap. But dad 'didn't like the dog.' (Uh-huh, and I have this land in the Florida swamps if you believe that one.)
