Clueless Bride Shocked To Find Out What People Really Thought Of Her 20k Wedding
Interview With ExpertNo matter how long you spend planning your wedding, the day will never be perfect. Something will go wrong, whether it’s the weather deciding not to cooperate, the groom showing up late due to traffic or the cake being dropped on the floor. But that’s okay! As long as you and your new spouse have a lovely time and get to ride off into the sunset together, you can call the day a success.
And if your guests have a terrible time, well, they should probably keep that information to themselves. One woman recently found out that her wedding has been a running joke in her family for a year now, and she did not take the news well. Below, you’ll find the full story that her parent who spilled the beans posted on Reddit, as well as a conversation with Suki Lanh, assistant editor at Offbeat Wed!

Again, I don't get the YTA's. OP's daughter's wedding wasn't enjoyed by the guests, not even the family and they are not allowed to say that? Do you know how bad a wedding must be before people comment negatively since most people cut a bride some serious slack? Is she to spend her days mistakenly believing that her wedding was enjoyed? Don't you think this would not come up sooner or later while she was present? It's already a running joke, you know. And is she to ruin her sister's wedding by offering the kind of advice that made people dislike her own wedding? It's not that just some people didn't enjoy that wedding, but most people and that's pretty telling. What is wrong with a dose of reality and of preventing a second wedding that's in danger of becoming a second disaster?
It's not up to OP to stop her adult children from making their own decisions. Sure I think she could have said something before, but it doesn't sound like she knew about any of it until the actual wedding day. Besides it's surely common sense that your wedding guests expect food to be served, and who tf has a fake cake? Why even bother at that point. I don't get why they didn't just elope. Fake cake should be a crime

Right!? Someone could have easily gone to the grocery store for a couple of deli trays and a sheet cake!
