I really like the cool tone of this whole photograph. You're very talented! I probably would have moved up just a tad higher to point down at the bird, giving her (or him) a little bit of a demure look. That's not a critique, though, just a thought because you said you're new at this. I do love what you've done, as well!

I'm actually studying photography and I still am just an amateur photographer too, but my photos are nowhere near good as yours. I think you're an amazing photographer and your skills are way better than most professional photographers including some that I know. This photo shows the habit I love most about squirrels! They curl their little front paws and hold them close to their body. (This is for when its cold, they keep their toes warm up against their body)

How do you get so close? Are you already acquainted with your subjects or is this really good zoom? Clearly I'm not a photographer but I love your animal pictures.

Most are up close and some with a zoom. I pretty much feed them and they are very trusting.

Wow, you have a natural talent! You also seem to live somewhere magical. I think I could put up with snow if it came with all these precious visitors. Just a kind suggestion, watermark every image! These are so good, someone is bound to try to steal your artwork. Amazing job!

This is why you can´t be "professional" in anything artistic, the passion will simply be there, animals are always cute but the professional photos of animals tend to be a bit to photogenic and almost like objects, it removes the quirky out of the animal, most of these photos have kept the little weird things that animals do that makes the photos interesting.
