To Improve My Photography Skills I Took Photos At Least Once A Week For A Whole Year (30 Pics)
I am a photographer from Poland, currently based in Amsterdam. I am mostly interested in landscape and nature photography. At the end of 2017, I was looking for a motivation to take more photos. I decided to challenge myself: take at least one landscape photo a week.
Last week I have taken the last photo of the year and I am happy to complete the project. The goal was accomplished: I was taking photos more frequently, regardless of the weather and location. I have learned to plan my trips better. And most importantly: I have taken a lot of photos I am happy with.
Sometimes it was tough, especially during the winter time. Sun rises when I'm already at work and sets before I leave the office. Sometimes the weather was so bad that I struggled to take at least one photo. But it was worth it!
Below I present a selection of my favourite photos taken as part of the project.

Twilight In Amsterdam
how did you get a reflection in the water this way? is the water frozen? is it a photoshop technique? the water seems to have no ripples. I'd like to learn :)
Bloemendaal Aan Zee, The Netherlands
Cloudy Winter Tatras
Brrrr.... you’ve captured it so well, I can feel the cold! Very nice work!

Maybe it's not as good as I imagine but the houseboats are fascinating.

I always want to know what people feel when living in these beautiful postcard homes? Are they amazed everyday? Do they look out and enjoy the view?? The folks around here on the water never look out. Never out on their decks. Nobody is looking outside. Why be on the water if you don't want to enjoy it!

Great pictures. Thanks. This is the only way some of us (me) will see these places.
Thanks Kenny! I'm really glad I can show these places to you.
Load More Replies...These are amazing! Thanks for posting them! Now I really want to go out and try some long exposures as well :D
Go for it! Sometimes you can turn even boring conditions into lovely photo with long exposures!
Load More Replies...Great pictures, especially the ones from NL ! Maybe because Netherlands is my favorite country or maybe you had the most time/peace to create them? :o)
Glad you like them! It's definitely easier to make good photos of place where you live. When you travel you need to be really lucky to be in certain location when light is good. If you live there you are more likely to be there often and find some amazing light :)
Load More Replies...You have some seriously nice photos here. And you have done some very nice traveling too, keep it up! I wish you an equally productive 2019!
Thank you, I wish you all the best in 2019 as well :)
Load More Replies...Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful part of the world. Keep up the good work. I hope to see more of your photos.
Amazing photos! My favorites were the ones including mountains but I'm still amazed about how you managed to make the water look so still in the Amsterdam photos. I kinda want to visit (or re-visit) all these places now!
Thanks a lot! I strongly encourage to visit these places, all of them were really beautiful! To make water look so still you need to have a day without wind (rarely happens in Amsterdam unfortunately) and use long exposure :)
