30 Pics From 2022 Beard & Mustache Championship That Showcases Next-Level Facial Hair
Welcome to the wonderland of facial hair of all shapes, styles, and sizes, from giant beards to Salvador Dali-worthy mustaches.
We’re talking about The National Beard and Moustache Championships organized by Beard Team USA® which took place in Casper on November 12 this month. This whimsical event celebrates facial hair, and joins beard aficionados together into one big bushy community who just loves having fun with a dash of competition!
Just like in previous years, Greg Anderson, a Las Vegas-based photographer, set out on a mission to capture the numerous men in their one-of-a-kind beards on camera. Below we selected some of the most interesting beards Anderson eternalized during the championships, so scroll down and upvote your favorite ones!

This year, Beard Team USA worked with both the Ford Wyoming Center and Visit Casper for the 2022 National Beard And Mustache Championship. It was held in conjunction with the 2022 Booze and Bacon Festival.
Bryan Nelson, president of Beard Team USA, told the press that “This event is such a great way to showcase beards and moustaches of all shapes and sizes.” According to him, “there’s a sense of pride in honoring all the various people that are presented in this competition that showcases raw, unfiltered beard and moustache artistry.”
In previous years, the National Beard And Mustache Championship was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nashville, Tennessee and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This year, Wyoming was picked as the location.“We like smaller cities so we can make more of an impact visually, and also, we have a charitable aspect to our event,” Nelson explained.
Since the National Beard And Mustache Championship always donates a percentage of ticket sales to local charities, Nelson believes that being hosted in smaller locations makes it possible to make a bigger impact in helping the community.
The event brings a lot of people together to not just celebrate their facial hair but give back to the community, which is the whole idea of it. No politics matter, no partisan divide,” said Nelson.

This is pretty fabulous in it’s own way. I’m partial to the crazy stylized facial hair for the entertainment value, but this is a well executed route too. Wouldn’t seem out of place on the streets, but also would seem totally normal on a “Lord of the Rings” character that wields an axe.

Was this for Movember? Wow. Nicely done. Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. It is a portmanteau of the Australian-English diminutive word for moustache, "mo", and "November".

I'm all for beards on men but ... Having long hair myself, i don't know why you would voluntarily grow any of your body hair long. It's an absolute pain to maintain.

love beards! but, one thing that annoys me is the really really long beards that are just so straggly at the bottom. makes me want to trim them up even. my son has a long beard and will sometimes ask if i will trim it. his came in grey. my grandson has dark hair but his is bright red.

I've wanted my husband to experiment with his beard for so long... It's just a "normal" full beard and mustache, but he could grow a great mustache if he wanted to. I'm almost sad that I don't have that kind of facial hair...
