The Duke of Sussex recently participated in a skit on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that many labeled as “cringe.”

Though she kept her children with Prince Harry out of the spotlight, Meghan offered a glimpse into her life and interests in a series branded as superficial and egotistical by many viewers.

Several people mocked her tips and tricks for being a great host, with one of the most talked-about moments showing her transferring snacks from their original packaging into a clear plastic bag and tying it with a ribbon to give to a guest.

The Netflix show coincided with the launch of her food brand, As Ever, and the reactivation of her Instagram page.

She was also criticized for continuing to use the Sussex title five years after stepping down as a working royal. In the show, she corrected a guest who called her Meghan Markle, clarifying, “You know I’m Sussex now.” 

Additionally, a house manager introduced her as “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” when she arrived to be interviewed at a friend’s home in New York, despite only the journalist being in the room.
