And I justed posted about being emotionally deprived. Which suckers double, because I had a bed, clothes, food. But no toddler artwork, no children's songs, no out very small birthdays. We did Santa Claus, so yes we got a gift, but I would have preferred love and time from my parents, instead of being a burden and unwanted all the time. That messed me up. I would have loved to go that game, tickets and all. So loving!
Load More Replies...I remember my Mum doing a really great ghost story, told in the dark while passing round e.g peeled grapes for eyeballs, a sand filled gardening glove that had been in the freezer for a hand, beads for teeth etc. Best time ever and I never realised until I was an adult that it had been done on a shoestring because we were skint at the time. Inventive thought can provide better memories than mere money and knowing you’re loved is priceless!
This made me cry! I also didn't realize until I was almost an adult that my family was "poor" because of all the amazing things my parents did to make life interesting and fun! My favorite memory is that once a year The Wizard of Oz would play on CBS. Since we didn't have capable or a vcr, this was a big deal for three little girls! My dad would move the best chair (a huge old recliner) into the middle of the room, pop popcorn in some out of date popcorn maker, and split a glass bottle of Coke three ways. Covered in blankets, snacking, watching a cool movie, and getting to stay up late was one of the greatest parts of my childhood!
This is good. It's very expensive even still to go to a game. Our local baseball team has to use a specific company for their vendors and holy wow it's expensive! $28.00 for a beer for my husband and a drink for me. Yikes.
Dudes Posting Their W’s has gained a massive following of over 1.7 million followers since its creation in January 2021. Their website explains the account by saying it “commemorates ‘Wins’ or ‘Positive’ moments that men have achieved”. “‘Dudes & Dubs’ is for the men who strive for greatness and who want to continuously improve their lives," their site states. In terms of what counts as a “dub”, they list many examples including losing weight, getting fit, beating cancer, overcoming mental health, acts of bravery, accomplishing difficult tasks, befriending animals, saving a person or an animal’s life, fighting off criminals, knowing very specific knowledge, being a good father, being a good husband, brotherhood, overcoming addiction, and helping vulnerable people.
The page also donates 10% of their merchandise proceeds to Missing Kids, a non-profit dedicated to finding missing children, preventing child victimization, and fighting child sexual exploitation.
The innovative line of Undercover Colors works by changing color when it comes in contact with any date rape drug. To test a drink for safety, wearers simply and discretely dip the tip of a polished fingernail into a beverage. Should the drink be spiked, the nail polish will change colors. It’s a fast and reliable way to ensure the wearer’s safety. https://projectknow.com/blog/can-this-nail-polish-really-detect-rape-drugs-in-your-drink/
Important note: this product never actually existed. At the time of these articles talking about it, they were looking for funds to develop it. They never got it to work. They eventually gave up but did instead develop a device (SipChip), similar in concept to a pregnancy test, that does work remarkably well. (edit: they are currently not available but were selling as of 2020 so presumably have run into logistical issues with the pandemic)
Load More Replies...Sadly, that didn’t pan out. “The nail polish evidently proved impossible to perfect, but the same startup has now released a detection device that seems nearly as convenient to use. It's roughly the size of a coin, easily attached to a keyring, and works in much the same way as a pregnancy test. Check out Undercover Colors' demonstration below.” https://www.refinery29.com/en-gb/2018/09/209378/undercover-colors-drink-spiking-product They have been selling the device mentioned in the article I’m referencing, though. Here’s the link to it: https://www.undercovercolors.com/ They seem to be out of stock at the moment.
As a Man I am just so f*****g pissed this has to be invented. A guy drugged my girlfriend at a club while I was breakdancing. She gets all dizzy after 1 drink and the only person who spoke to her the bartender pointed out. He was trying to gtfo as soon as he knew the gig was up. My friend and I caught up too him gave him a beating that needed an ambulance. I had his wallet and a bottle of roofies. Went to address on ID, roommate answers and confirms he lives there. Told roommate to leave and we destroyed everything that f****r owned, not the friends room. Came home from the hospital with no wallet, keys, clothes or roofies. Vigilante justice is warranted sometimes. The roommate understood
If I ever have a kid, and that kid wears nail polish, and this product exists, I will buy them a lifetime supply!
I could have used this a couple of years ago. I'd just moved to a new apartment and was delighted to see that a friend of mine lived next door. She also said that her dad, who I knew and had started to trust, was staying at her place as his electricity had been cut off because he hadn't paid the bill. She invited me for a beer the next evening and I went a we chatted for a bit, she said she was tired and was going to bed as she knew her baby would be up during the night for feeding so I followed her to the bedroom and peeped at her baby and said he was so cute, gave her a hug and went into the kitchen to pick up my bag. He had poured a tiny shot glass with schnapps and I thought ok, drink that and then go home. I remember absolutely nothing until I woke up in my bed totally n*ke*. I've got epilepsy, I never sleep without a nightie. Got up, dressed and was going to the bathroom when I passed the kitchen and realised he had been here, he had smoked several cigarettes so must have been
They solicited investor funding for hard nail polish but eventually sold soft, absorbent test strips that were already available on the market. Boondoggle or just an idea whose time has not yet come?
The fact that this had to be made in the first place makes me sick! Why is it a few men destroy it for the rest of us? (My meaning is that, this would never had to be made if some men were not such a**h**es!) --- I have been single for too long, 10 years now, because I have been hurt so many times, I don't trust most women, so I know and understand it from their perspective.)
You don't trust "most" women but you think only a "few" men do this. Okay...

Son look so handsome and kind❤️ Wish them a beautiful life and thank you for sharing this story, that made me cry because it was such a fantastic story❤️
One great aspect of "Dudes & Dubs" is how it celebrates such a wide range of wins, including accomplishments from men that are still sometimes considered taboo like taking care of their mental health and beating addiction. It’s no secret that men are expected to be less emotional than women, but the fact is that they just aren’t. A recent study from Scientific Reports followed the emotional journeys of 142 men and women over the course of 75 days, and they found that “the male participants’ emotions fluctuated just as much as the women’s did”.
While misconceptions about the emotional fragility of women are often used to portray women as weak, these stereotypes hurt all genders. Women are expected to be unable to handle their emotions, but men are expected to not show any emotions at all. This unrealistic expectation often leads men to bottle up their emotions and develop unhealthy coping mechanisms. By encouraging men to openly share how they've overcome battles with mental health issues, body image issues, addiction and more, Dudes Posting Their W's shows other men that being honest and vulnerable is something to celebrate.
It has been on here 2 or 3 times before and STILL does it to me.
Load More Replies...Have heard this story many times over the years - suspect urban legend
I know there's a 45 kg limit if you want to donate blood, meaning anyone weighing less than 45 kg will not be allowed to donate blood. So this story where a little boy donates blood for his little twin sister sound made up.
It's different for a life-saving transfusion between family members. There are perfectly sustainable ways of doing it.
Load More Replies...This is a very sweet sentiment, but this story is not true. There are numerous technical issues with this story. There is no way they would take blood from a young child. They also would not take blood from anyone and then immediately give it to another patient, there needs to be testing and other QC measures that have to be done. Also, hospital labs are not set up or equipped for blood donation. In situations that Jim Clark is describing, they would contact the local blood bank and get the blood from them, or surrounding hospitals. Also, not having o- blood is almost unheard of as it is the universal donor, and hospitals always have a large stock of it.
Minors can have their parents approval to donate. The blood testing could've happened, just wasn't mentioned in the story. A lot could've been left out on purpose to make the story get to the point faster. From my understanding it depends on where you are, a lot of hospitals do not in fact have O- blood, specifically smaller towns or countries. With all due respect, I really think you're just speculating. But outside of everything you said I've read similar stories online, and the story could've been stolen.

Dudes Posting Their W’s also encourages men to be great fathers and husbands. Traditionally, men have always been held to lower standards than women when it comes to domestic responsibilities. Media doesn’t help either, as countless TV shows and movies portray fathers as incompetent counterparts to strict, bossy (but intelligent) mothers. According to a 2021 study from the Pew Research Center, double standards continue to persist when it comes to household responsibilities. 59% of women said that they take care of more of the chores and responsibilities in the home, and 74% of mothers surveyed said that they do more to manage their children’s schedule and activities. Similarly, Pew found in 2019 that mothers do their families' grocery shopping and meal preparation 80% of the time. While cooking dinner is not really an accomplishment a father should be patted on the back for, any encouragement that will lead men to be better husbands and fathers is a win in my book.
Would it be as beautiful if they were both Scottish?
Load More Replies...Much respect to your sir. Some men won't even cross the street for their children and here you are crossing worlds.
Eh yo, other parents who don't even wanna go to your children's recitals, get your asses in gear! (If you just can't, that's a different story.)
Excuse my ignorance, but are the Australian aboriginal people okay with being photographed?
yeah their just people he's just in ceremonial gear
Load More Replies...Why do stores throw away leftover food? If food is fine, why waste? If you don't want to give it to homeless people (not a good thing, of course), at least donate them to charity that feeds hungry people. Why throw them in the trash if the food is not spoilt? At this point, I am genuinely asking this because I cannot, for the world, figure out what harm would it cause to the owners to donate the food that they would not use anyway. Are they that cruel? Or is it something else?
I think it was a few cases when homeless people sued companies for food poisoning , so prospect of liability stops them from donations . Shame as a good deed of trying to feed the hungry should never be preyed upon

True! But teens tend to be more concerned about looking "cool" and worrying about what their friends think of them, since high school is such a self-contained world.

I was an exhausted mom of 2 and 3 year old boys. I had been parenting on my own while my husband figured out his drug problems. A friend paid for my gas to travel 1,000 miles to her ranch and help out for a month & to get a break. I had driven about 500 miles and couldn't keep my eyes open any longer but I didn't have $$ for a motel. We parked at a rest stop, I rolled the windows down some, set out snacks & unbuckled the boys so they'd be more comfortable (who were sleeping). When I woke up from my nap, the boys had rolled the widows all the way down and were sitting on the window sills waving at the truckers and other rest stop visitors. I started crying because I realized anything could have happened while I slept. But here is the nice stranger part: a couple came over and told me, "Don't worry, dear. We saw you were exhausted when you pulled in so we just set up our lunch here and kept an eye on the boys so they stayed safe."
It’s also important for men to be encouraged to talk openly about their mental health and substance abuse battles because they are more likely to be silently struggling. The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that males misuse drugs at a younger age than women and are more likely to be exposed to drugs and alcohol in their adolescence than girls. And according to a survey of people who had a history of substance abuse in their families, almost twice as many people reported that their fathers struggled with addiction, compared to the amount of people who said their mothers struggled.
These issues often stem from mental health struggles, like depression, and according to Fred Rabinowitz, a professor of psychology at the University of Redlands in California, “Male depression sometimes manifests through the ‘male code’ that says you cannot show weakness, sadness, or vulnerability.” Without feeling like they can open up, some men sadly turn to substance abuse instead. It’s great that Dudes Posting Their W’s encourages men to share their struggles to show that they’re not alone and to hopefully prove to other men struggling that they will be celebrated for taking care of their health.

As a mom, I confirm. Men - do this more for the amazing women who helped raise you!
Never ever tell someone to give up hope! My husband had a stroke at 18 months and the doctor said he could get married and have kids but he'd be pushing a broom his whole life. 38 years later, he's got 2 masters and a PhD in psychology, a job as a therapist and is writing some books! Only way you can tell anything happened is he can't use his right arm much (the elbow fused) and he has a slight limp. One of the sweetest, wisest, and smartest people I know ❤️
Umm, why wasn't this baby in the NICU if she was this small and was stopping breathing? This story makes no sense to me. He is implying that he is a Dr since he said he delivered a baby. He is also implying that he just sat with this baby somewhere and spent 2 nights and days rubbing the baby to keep her breathing, ignoring all his other patients, not utilizing all the nurses and equipment and treatments that would be available? Yeah, not buying it. There are way to many medical inaccuracies for this to be a true story. It is a nice story, but 100% did not happen.
"She kept stopping breathing".... Hmm. Is this man really a medical professional? Not to mention since when do they allow a 450g out of NICU and to be held, especially when she is having such difficulty breathing that she's stopped multiple times? This story is fishy and smells of BS to me.
My 6 y/o was 660 grams at birth. A nicu girl near him was this size above. I always said she was the size if a breath. She was pretty much the size if a 3 week old kitten. For reference ti those who have never experienced the wonder if the nicu. His legs were the width of my pinkie finger. At 6, his normal 6 y/o index finger is about the size as mommy's pinkie finger.
Friendships between men and women are also a bit different, so sometimes men need to be more intentional about emotionally supporting one another. According to psychologist Tarra Bates-Duford, men “tend to prefer more activity-based friendships” while female friendships “tend to be more dependent on face-to-face contact, are more emotional” and include more sharing of thoughts and feelings and providing emotional support. This does not mean that the bonds between bros can’t be strong, but it does mean they are less likely to be lifting up one another and celebrating their accomplishments. Men might really appreciate a post on Dudes Posting Their W’s every once in a while, if their friends in real life aren’t as likely to openly congratulate and support them.
Completely agree. When society as a whole removes the "race", then you no longer have racism, just people! --- While I do teach my kids about different heritages I will not teach them to form opinions based on that, but on the way the person treats others or carries themselves!
Load More Replies...I love how all the comments are about how "SEE?!race doesnt matter- Love does!" when it's the very FIRST thing everyone here is commenting on so apparently it does matter since its the first thing they point out. LMAO

There are plenty of reasons why we should celebrate our accomplishments, regardless of how big or small they may be. Despite living in a fast-paced age where we’re encouraged to always be in a hurry to get to the next thing, it’s important to give our brains a moment to really appreciate our successes. Having a healthy amount of pride can even be a great way to lead us to more success in the future. As psychologist David DeSteno says in his book Emotional Success: The Power of Gratitude, Compassion, and Pride, “These feelings—gratitude, compassion, and pride—are easier to generate than the willpower and self-denial that underpin traditional approaches to self-control and grit. And while willpower is quickly depleted, prosocial emotions actually become stronger the more we use them.”
Having bought a lot of pre owned things as a pregnant/new mom.. I can really appreciate this!
Before I was pregnant a friend had loaned me some money for the down payment for an apartment (had to move quick). Wasn't a whole lot but he allowed me to pay him back in payments. When I became pregnant he told me to keep the rest of the money as a "baby present". Still one of the nicest things anyone/a friend has done for me. Bless his heart.
Good on the man for giving him the 400 but people gotta start realizing using your kids as an excuse to get something cheaper or for free is beyond messed up. The set price was 500, if you can't afford it then move on. It's manipulation at it's finest. The man selling could've had his own circumstances. He was way nicer about this than I would've been. Maybe would've brought it down fifty bucks but that's as far as I'd go.
Triple amazing. It's remarkable that a single dad was allowed to adopt at all, let alone a special needs child, and the third is that she got the loving adult she deserves.
IIRC, the dad was *only* allowed to adopt a special needs child, because he was a single man.

Apparently, most people even want us to share our successes. Now, don’t go too crazy; there’s a fine line between sharing and boasting, of course. But resist the temptation to keep your accomplishments to yourself, for fear of being labeled a braggart. According to studies on the topic, loved ones tend to feel insulted or patronized when people they’re close to keep their successes a secret. Even if you’re scared you might trigger a bit of jealousy, there’s nothing wrong with sharing your achievements so that you, and your loved ones, can celebrate them.
I'm with the guy who said he thinks it's bad that when a dog who bites a child gets put to sleep , yet proven pedophiles don't.
Child molestation and rape are the crimes that truly merit a three strikes law (honestly I'd say two strikes is more than enough). The offenders rarely learn anything from prison other than to not leave any witnesses in future. There are far too many sex offenders who get plea deals and slaps on the wrist again and again and again. I say first offense you get a long sentence and then lifelong monitoring. If you do it again you're just locked up for life because clearly you can't be trusted in society.

Good thing it was you and not some freak. That kid took one hell of a chance.
What I love is the aditional effort the kid puts in to go to school. Most other kids would "give up" and enjoy a day off.
Now I want for Amber Heard, Trump and every scientologists plus the Kartrashion family.
Sharing our successes also builds confidence. If we never acknowledge what we’ve accomplished, our brains tend to just ignore all subsequent achievements, and we never gain satisfaction from anything. But it’s important to combat the negativity bias that exists in our brains, which makes us more likely to dwell on our failures than our successes, by celebrating whenever we can. “When you are confident and hopeful, that improves your ability to focus naturally,” Benjamin and Sarah Cheyette said in a piece for Psychology Today. “When you feel that way, you are more likely to concentrate again on a challenging task in the future because you will feel motivated to get that feeling back.”

My sister had to deal with one. 😂😂 Sorry, they were married 20 years and he was a son to my mom. Sadly, he passed away just a couple years after the divorce. My mother was every bit as devastated by his loss as she was when we lost my brother. Both gone entirely too young.

The Cheyettes also note that there’s nothing wrong with celebrating tiny victories that take us a tiny step closer to our goals because they help us build momentum. “The momentum you gain from each small success is what will allow you to stay on course toward greater and greater achievements and successes, including achieving your big, long-term goals. Each celebration doesn’t have to be a big one. You don’t have to hire a band and blast confetti each time you do something right. Recognition of yourself and taking a moment to recognize and register how it feels to have done well is all you really need.”

Yes they do, I'd think. They just trade it away for the better good: a blanket for a cold kid, cover for a poor stray or a homeless person on the streets, or in Steve Buscemi's case, likely the fire blanket that put out the fire. My brother and I have always been taught to at least say our please and thank yous. He appreciated us. One day, while he and my dad were talking, I was looking through the Hot Wheels. I found one of them nearly stolen, the plastic half taken off the cardboard backing and the car halfway out. I brought it up to him to just hand it over. He was thankful for me showing it to him and gave it to me. It may not be worth much of any dollar amount since it has little chips in the paint and such, but I still have and cherish it.
My husband would love this and he would also be the one to do that for a kid with that much passion for fishing.
this is so lovely! most of the kids that come into my shop grab the snacks at the till and break them all. interrupt me when i'm serving other customers to ask me how much things are. i'm not good with kids, especially those with bad behaviour.

Load More Replies...Honestly? I understand the wife. Not everybody has the ability to raise a disabled child, especially mentally impaired one. It requires far more time, patience and money that 'normal' parenting (which is demanding itself). Also don't forget that not all cases of Down syndrome look the same. Some are practically as capable as their fully healthy peers. Some need constant care, gets agressive and are a big burden overall. Maybe she knew for sure that the newborn will be heavily impaired? Maybe the wife knew she is not mentally strong enough to deal with raising disabled kid? If she wanted to give the child up for both her and the baby's sake then I fully support her.
I absolutely agree, Enuya. It had to have been an impossible choice to make. Regardless of how people feel about her choice, she did one undisputable thing right: she picked the best possible father for that baby.
Load More Replies...What? My head can't understand this at all. How can you switch the love for your baby that fast. 😲
Not everyone can handle the mental, emotional, physical and financial aspects of taking care of a special needs child. Yes, some of those people are just being selfish, but others have their reasons that we don't know about. The mom realized this and left, which is for the best. If she did not want to raise the child and still stuck around, that sweet baby might grow up with neglect and abuse from a parent that resents it. That baby is with someone who loves it and is going to give it all the care and love it deserves, and that is more than a lot of children, special need or not, can say.

I remember when this was considered " junk science". I asked my Dr if I possibly could have this thing they were researching. He waved it off. A few years later after bleeding ulcers and everything, it was cured by antibiotics. The thing was, every so often I would h have to take antibiotics before dental surgery or something and he claimed that knocked it back enough. Not to kill me. My ulcer Dr laughed at that . And said I should sue.

NYC Parks Department has “Playgrounds for All Children” with adaptive features. And regular playgrounds often have adaptive swings for kids who can’t sit in a standard one. When I was a Park Ranger, a parent asked me how they chose what playground got one, because their local one didn’t have one. I called the manager for that site to find out & he said people just had to ask. They got the swing shortly thereafter! 😍

To preface: I'm not saying you should change or that you're wrong in what you're doing. But I'm pretty sure most disabled people are ok with the word "disabled" and actually prefer it over "differently abled" or other variations. I see snakes every time I go hiking, generally they just want to get away from you. They move surprisingly fast when they're startled.
The problem is when you don't see them in time, and they feel threatened because you're too close or step on them. I read a fascinating story from a hiker who got bit by a rattlesnake in the US. His first clue that there was even a snake around was a strike on the heel.
Load More Replies...For the most part, the snakes that bite the most commonly, aren't venomous at all, or have less potent venom. The Inland Taipan, the worlds most venomous snake, only has bitten one person on record. Often, snakes will "dry bite" which is biting without injecting venom. Also, the more potent the venom, the snake might not inject as much.
Seems to be the case with wildlife in general. I wish video games would get that right, instead of making wild animals attack on sight. I don't enjoy shooting the animals in games and don't do it if I can help it. It would be so nice if they allowed people to give distance and respect to the animals and have the animals react more like they do in reality.
I really enjoy playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild on my Switch. The Animals in that will run away if they see you. I keep trying to make friends with the foxes, I drop meat for them. If you do that with the dogs at the stables, they will learn to love you and will lead you to treasure.
Load More Replies...True for all animals. Don't want to be attacked by a bear? Stay away from them. Don't want to be bitten by a dog? Don't abuse or tease them. Etc. These things SHOULD be common sense.
You have to move slowly with them, and deliberately. Shaking can agitate them, so you need a bit of a strong will. A lot of human actions that we understand as anxiety can be seen as aggression or weakness to many animals, and they jump on it
i'd have to come out for toilet breaks but other than that i wouldnt mind it so much

Um... That's not a good thing. Planes have crashed from being incorrectly calculated to be underweight when they are not - they operate on very narrow weight margins. Sure, you might save a couple of bucks, or you could bring down a plane and kill everyone on board.
This comment doesn't seem correct to me. Can you please give me a source? I'd imagine if freight is miscalculated that'd be an issue. But suitcases really don't weigh much, surely the different weights of passengers (generally humans are heavier than suitcases and their weights can vary greatly) would throw the narrow margins off much more than a few incorrectly weighted suitcases.
Load More Replies...That won't change the weight of the luggage anymore. The position of it on the luggage don't interfere on the measurement, be it lying horizontally, vertically or slightly inclined as in the picture.
A few years ago I was traveling to a conference with a bunch of colleagues. We were on a small commercial flight where they told us they were redistributing the luggage in the hold because of weight issues. Then they said to balance the weight all the men needed to sit in the back of the plane and the women in the front. That resulted in several larger-sized women trading seats with petite men which seemed to not really accomplish what they wanted. Of course, we also discovered upon landing that they hadn't ever loaded the luggage of at least 12 of us. Then couldn't locate the bags at all at the origin airport. Then 48 hours later someone from the lost baggage department of a different airline at a different airport discovered all the missing bags which had mysteriously had the check-in tags removed. And that's how I ended up shopping for professional attire with my boss and the head of HR, and why I'll never fly Air Canada again.
there are many videos of the person at the counter leaning on the bag so they could charge extra too so this seems like a chaotic neutral at best.

I'm 50 years old. I moved out of my parents house when I was 18. I've recently moved from another state to live with my elderly mother to take care of her and the home she's lived in for over 60 years. I've had this old, beat up chair that someone spilled paint on since I first left my parents home. I can probably count on one hand how many times I've sat in it. For some of unknown reason I've just always kept it with me. When I moved back, my mom saw the chair, sat in it and said that she'd always wondered what happened to it. Turns out that my father built it in a shop class while they were dating in highschool. My father passed away suddenly when I was 21. He was finally figuring out the whole "awesome dad" thing after struggling at it for so many years and then he was just gone. Without even knowing it, I was carrying an unknown piece of him around the country with me for the last 32 years. Thanks for the chair dad. I use it quite often now and miss you every time I do.

@Something Jay. You automatically lose all credibility when you use the terms "butt hurt" and "snowflake". That's just a way to blame someone else for your bad behavior. That's like the mob blaming informants, when really they just don't want to get in trouble for their terrible deeds. Now, having gotten that out of the way, I think the opposite is true of the trial; it was a huge victory, because for once, we listened to the victim and exposed the abuser. And, that's really the point, to listen and not jump to conclusions, to seek the truth wherever that may lead.
I've come to realize there are 2 wildly different narratives about this case. I didn't watch or read any traditional media coverage of the case, but I did watch a significant portion of the actual televised case itself, as well as YT commentary from several very knowledgeable practicing lawyers. It was very informative, and I thought the verdict was the right call. There was evidence suppressed, which had it been allowed, probably would have shifted the outcome even further in JD's favor. And yet, so many people on social media have come out saying they're sick of hearing about it, that JD was terrible toward AH, that the trial was unfair because of his celebrity status, etc. It was a real disconnect from what I witnessed. That's when I realized that traditional media was pushing a very different narrative, trying to spin the story. I feel like there was a time, in the US at least, when most media outlets took journalistic integrity very seriously. No longer.
No no. I watched the ENTIRE trial, he's not an angel but he didn't do what she claimed he did. Her story kept changing and they showed she lied. The way she abused him was freaking awful. Load More Replies...Didn't he ask his friend to this? I can't remember but I'm pretty sure this wasn't a friend being shi tty
This man lost the equivalent of 300lbs. ( I know it's 294, but I'm giving him the six ok?)
Motivation doesn't have to be sugarcoated. When an ex broke up with me, my two female best friends called me stupid everytime I said a word about her. I thank them for that.
Not insulting. This is how my husband and his brother communicate. Anyone who listens to them assume that they hate each other, but I know these two would die for each other, that they are the best of friends. It's odd but men communicate with their own language. And no, you can't be subtle, they respond better with directness.
I think the texts lasted for 6 weeks, as motivation.
Load More Replies...This is in the UK. There's a weird culture of insulting the people you love, and they know it's meant out of love. This could easily be translated to be, "Keep going, you can do it!" in Americanese.
Load More Replies...I’ve never seen this kind of kayak before, one that you can live on. Did a google search to see the sleeping area, the gear and supplies used. So very interesting!
I'm interested to see that, but I'm not sure what words to use in my Google search. Could you possibly give me an idea?
Load More Replies...Cool people wear sunglasses. It's a well known fact
Load More Replies...Musk still hasn't bought Twitter. In fact, he's desperately trying to back out of the deal.
Load More Replies...Hes a good man despite the problems he has had over the years, he was friends with my dad, I have pictures of me at 6 or 7 in his limo after we went for ice cream. They havent talked in years now but still a favorite memory
This cannot be right? Otherwise why not hypnotise Alzheimer patients and get them to forget they have it? Got to be a satirical post?
Sometimes this happens in hospice care when patients suddenly rally shorty before death. It’s heartbreaking because the families suddenly have hope only to be struck with grief.
Load More Replies...Not quite. Here's a link to the real story, which is incredibly touching. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/man-with-alzheimers-buys-wife-flowers_n_5398917/amp
Not the same man. I think the post here is satirical.
Load More Replies...My son ordered 1000 foam blocks on eBay luckily they needed more verification to complete the order !
Kids are getting too smart. My nephew quickly figured out my parents tv system and ordered himself several movies. He wasn't even 3.
Right ! All I ever did was erase important stuff off computers if someone let me near them !😂I really did erase a bunch of things off my uncles computer he didn’t think it was cute or funny
Load More Replies...Ummmm, maybe building an attached garage would have been easier? I dunno...
He is actually a YouTuber who built a buried mancave and then built this tunnel to connect it to his house. He has also bulit a life size Tie Fighter, a kids play room as an ATAT and a hover bike. His name is Colin Furze
Load More Replies...He did it for the views on YouTube. He's got a lot more planned, too. He's going to go from his shed to his underground man cave. Collin is a beast.
This wasn't to avoid rain I've been following this and it was for a YouTube series
Next he needs to build a "friendship tube" to Dale and Bill's houses.
lol what? no he made an entire video series about it lol
Load More Replies...Satire BS. Trust me as a Floridian that’s been here all his life, I can verify that we have enough wild stories that are actually real.
Why not? Having a baby is a loooong process, tbh if I was going into labor I'd make sure my husband packed our Nintendo Switch.
I'd probably do the same, and make sure he packed a couple of two-players
Load More Replies...I was in labor for just over 50 hours. Granted they all were not in the hospital, but video games would have been appropriate.
Entertainment to fill the long hours of waiting. I'm sure he dropped everything once things really started happening.
Load More Replies...There are a lot of great stories here. Except for the ones that were not true.
I'm bawling. The world needs more people like these. (Ok I'm a cryer... sooo?)
Yes, I suppose they are but it still requires two people to lift something that weighs more than what they are permitted to lift. I'd assume they also need an idea of how to balance the bags accordingly so that nothing is crushed during travel. So between safety precautions, logistical planning, and adequate staffing to ensure these, they charge according to weight categories. That's how I always understood it. I'm not a pilot or an airline employee but I did work in an aviation-related field for a few years and my uncle worked for the FAA.
