This is the first thing on Boredpanda in a while that I could really relate to! That being said, I love living in a small town :)

Many moons ago when I was young I jumped into our pond to save one of our ducks that had a huge tear in her side. My Dad decided to give her stiches( he did great, she went on to live a long health life) . He mentioned it to one of his friends. A few weeks later the story came back around to him that he jumped into the pond to save me and then he gave ME stitches. Gotta love living in a small town.

I grew up in a small town but it was a beach vacation destination so all sorts of people came to us from all over. It kept things from being boring.

Our town was so small there were T-Shirts that said Where the Hell is Tulare CA. That you could by in the bigger towns. I went to a K-8 school, our graduating clasee was fifteen the same fifteen I went through school with. and I can probably name them all still.

I live in the bay area of California and cant wait to move away from here and have these small town "problems".

i used to live in a small town in Pennsylvania and I remember I saw my teachers like everywhere and you could of said "You know Luna?" and everyone would have been like "oh yeah", even if you had a basic name, like mary, grace or Rebecca or something you can literally say their 1st name and everyone knew who they were

I have lived in several spots and find it funny how relative the definition of small town. I grew up a couple of miles outside of a town of about 1000 folks where the 50 or so folks in my area, considered it their own town. I live in a town of about 20K now where the folks from the nearest major city feel that I must live in a tent.

Small towns sound amazing! Have to admit I am pretty envious.

I'm from a small town, population 700. Recently did a walkthrough of my childhood home, which is up for sale. Shared the story and photos on the town FB page and got dozens of comments from people who remembered me and my family. We moved to a different town FORTY years ago. I LOVE my small town.

Why are they called towns, not villages? I don't get it.
