Interview With ArtistAll of us cat owners consider our kitties one of a kind, and truth be told, each of them is unique. But then… they also have so much in common with other felines, and we can all agree on that as well.
The comic series by Lingvistov, well known to our Bored Panda community, is great proof of the above statement. This illustrator does a fantastic job of depicting the daily situations cat parents experience! Some of them are cute, others hilarious, and then there are those annoying moments… that, in hindsight, turn out to be funny too—a mix of everything for cat lovers everywhere.

The artist who created the series shared her thoughts with Bored Panda on cats and why they play such an important role in her work: “Cats are amazing creatures that can both brighten your life and turn it into a complete hell. The way they treat you like you’re nothing is so annoying but you can’t help loving them! Because they are cats and they’re fluffy and cute and—most importantly—when they purr, the world stops!”
Landysh also shared how her style has evolved since she started creating comics, adding: “It's an inevitable and rewarding process for any artist. You get to play and experiment, choosing things that you think work the best!"
With my void, the background could even be white and he still manages to somehow camouflage. Masters of the art of illusion!
OMG my mom almost sat onto Luna because she blends so well with her black pants!😂
Speaking of the creative process, the illustrator admitted that having a ritual is a crucial part of her work. The author of ‘Lingvistov’ explained: “My therapist told me that I need a ritual to switch to a creative artistic mode. And I realized that smells are a powerful tool! For me, this ritual now is brewing coffee—it helps me start. Another thing I do—I try not to push myself. I have one or two drawings scheduled for a week, not ten or fifteen like I used to—this way I can enjoy the process, avoid burnout, and actually accomplish more! It's important to have a hobby and do something physical. I have been swimming competitively for six years! This helps me not to get sucked into the black hole of self-doubt and overthinking."
Where is a random piece of cellophane to crinkle under the bed?

According to the illustrator, drawing from personal experience is the key to success, as people tend to connect with relatable content. She also added: “That was probably the most surprising thing for me—discovering that someone can see themselves in the comics I make. Another important thing is not to stop, because success is not something that happens overnight—it takes hard work and time."
Yes! I thought I was "getting old." Probably started when I was about 35. Had it checked out and the most I got from doctors was that I needed to do strength training in my legs.
Load More Replies..."Hmmm, yes, hooman, you complain about your weight. I hear vertical stripes make you look thinner. Let me help... Oh, no, hooman, I am falling! (evil snicker) Let me drag my claws down your legs...Ah, litter sh!t! Foiled again. Oh well, I'll pretend to be.happy about it. And now I'm back asleep in 1.3 seconds."
Just draw a line to the cat and write "*purrr*".

Of course we do that. Cat must be comfortable under all circumstances.
The real reason is actually that cats enjoy being around people who are busy since they are not constantly forcing interaction and cuz well... cat
I have three cats a Bombay a Maine C**n (gray with white patches) and a orange tabby cat Husky (boy Maine C**n) Maximus (also boy orange) ALWAYS hides when guests came over but Luna (Bombay girl) LITTERALLY cuddles up with guests and purrs as loud as a leaf blower.😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻😍😻
Managed to get the flu and pneumonia over the winter holidays along with my husband and we both ended up in the hospital. When we got home, our two girls decided that they'd come help us stay warm and not let us get near the door!
I ended up buying another desk chair for my cat. Now she doesn't sit on either one.
Maybe she squeezed into that spot because she was with you.
Load More Replies...Take this scenario, except with my lil old man Siamese sleeping in their carrier on my bed with my other obese super chonk forcing her way in and sitting on him until he gets fed up and squeezes out. She tends to be a creeper who throws her weight around. 😂 *for context: their carrier has a cozy bed in it, and I keep it on MY bed for them to use as they wish. Makes it a comfy safe space they like to be in, so going to the vet isn't the only association with it.
OMG I heard a story that (the cat's name is Shadow) the owner ALMOST set her cat on fire because he blends SOOOOOO well on the stove!!!
My first cat and she did this spectacularly. Makes me miss her so badly. Its almost been a year without her but I still cry. We were adopted by a cat recently..I'm probably giving her negative vibes b/c she probably thinks she's the reason I cry when she does the above things.
Oh, I hope your heart heals a little - it'll never fully heal.
Load More Replies...Gabrielle does this but she runs before you can catch her. we only know it's her because we see her go in the kitchen and there's nobody else there. She's a big fluffy black cat. Over 20 lb and it's all fur. She'll be 10 next month.
Chaos likes to get in the shower while the water is running, and drink from the "rain."
Recently Maggie has been washing her feet in her fountain, then drinks water by the pawfull
We work together, too, but oh, I feel bad when I lose the flying thing!
This also happens when a beloved cat crosses the Rainbow Bridge - you are positive you hear their collar tags jingle, you are sure you caught the faint sound of their meow in a back room. And sometimes, on the very edge of sleep, you can feel them jump up onto the bed with you and curl against your legs.
I didn't plan to adopt a cat for awhile to get a handle on these feelings. But a cat adopted us in about 6 months after the loss of our 1st baby.. Anyhow, that time between losing her and being adopted was torture. It's exactly as you said! The good news is that I know it's my new baby jumping on the bed or horking up supper. I'll take the trade-off. If my 1st baby had to play in the rainbow, I now have another baby who snuggles me when I cry
