And if you're spreading lies on social media, then there's a good chance that you'll be caught red-handed sooner than you expected. Because when you lie on the internet, you're lying to the world, and there's always somebody out there who's willing to call your bluff.

You can, but they are different. A different set of numbers is hidden in the card number depending on the copy. It's best practice for the server to take the one that says for the server. I would scratch out the bottom if I took it, I'd write "merchant copy" on it.

Some people do well on vegan diets apparently, but other people just end up feeling weak and horrible. Regardless, when it comes down to environmental impact, the issue isn't simply "we eat meat" but "we are relying on irresponsible farming methods". Even if everyone stopped eating meat we would still be dealing with substantial environmental issues from things like pesticides in water/soil and deforestation as a result of crop farming.

I wouldn't be surprised if this were real. Social media really brings out the narcissism in people. I found it happening to me with my fb account: spending time mulling over deep quotes to post, only posting photos i thought i looked good in, and otherwise stoking my own ego. Deleting my account was very liberating.

This one reminds me of that catfish show wherein a woman sent a guy a recording of a song she supposedly was playing. He looked it up online and found she had lied, it wasn't her at all. It also reminds me of a girl i used to know who would recite ani difranco lyrics at poetry readings and claimed she had written them. I know that it's frustrating not being creative (i can't draw, write or play) but that's no excuse for plagiarism

Many of these are funny, but the underlying reality is very sad. Look at elections in Europe and America...people speak of the "hidden" or "silent" majority, ignore facts, believe what they want to believe, blame media for reporting biased, and consider whatever they find on social media true, as long as it fits their world view. Yes, this has been always the case when a bunch of friends meet at a bar and have a few drinks, but now it is global, and it does have impact. Add a few chatbots, social media analytics, and media strategists, and you can truly influence masses. I am very concerned where this will lead.
