From nomophobia, an irrational fear of being without a mobile phone, to xanthophobia, a fear of the color yellow, countless phobias exist out there. Now this time, we’re delving into the mind of megalophobes, people who are in fear of anything large, like skyscrapers and jumbo jets.

In fact, there’s a whole corner of Reddit dedicated to sharing examples of this phobia known as megalophobia. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are 'triggers' for those with megalophobia,” the group’s description states.

Below we rolled up some of the most interesting examples shared on the group, so scroll down. Also, when you’re done reading this one, make sure to check out part 1 of the article.

I'm sorry you can't. There are signs all around. These branches are so old some of them have supports. My family has a vacation house just down the road from here and I've been lucky to visit Angel Oak many times 😊

Looks like a tree in a forest near us - Savernake. The tree is called ‘The King of Limbs’.

Lots of fairies must live in the branches. I'm sure I see a door in the base of the trunk where the kobolds live. Probably has a gnome hole in the back.

Those oak trees have limbs that get so heavy they need braces to hold them up so they don't break off.

People aren't actually allowed near ir because angel oaks have a tendency to suddenly and without warning drop branches due to weight and brittleness. A lot of the larger branches for this one are so heavy they have huge support structures holding them up.

It says that it’s the oldest tree east of the Mississippi (meaning the river), not that it’s *in* Mississippi. It’s located in South Carolina.

It's a cool tree, but it's far from the oldest East of the Mississippi. There are Cypress trees near it that are 3 times older. It's about 500 years old and there are cypresses that are more than 1500 years old.
