I bought a cheap set of colored satin yarn covered styrofoam balls. I loaded the lower branches of my Christmas tree with them for my cat. They are pretty, and she has so much fun playing with them, she leaves the rest of the tree alone. They are easy to rehang for her. Watching her is entertaining for me, and there's no harm done.
