The rules originally said "Beachwear" and was later changed to bikini under the recommendation of a Woman on the committee (who was a Lesbian), and now there is backlash the otherway.

If by ashamed you mean forced to parade publicly in bikini shorts (because they're guaranteed to all be out-of-shape older men) for a full day, yes. They should be publicly shamed, and with their names attached so they cannot hide behind anonymity of the committee.
