I’m a professional illustrator with a strong fondness for political, social and human issues, with more than 10 years experience collaborating with several publications and companies across four continents. For a long time, I wanted to do a selection of my best works to show some of the problems afflicting the world nowadays.

I use a mixed media, that is, I draw and ink the drawings by hand and then color it using a tablet, takes me around 1 to 3 days to each one, depending on how complex. “How are our relationships changing because of technology?”, “We want to save the world, but how dependent are we on other people's slave work?", "What are the ideas that free and restrain us?", are just some of the important issues I want to address.

So what about you? What are your questions? I mean, the really important ones. Please let me know!

I'm down voting for two reasons. 1: Most pot smoked in America is now grown in America and not Mexico as it used to be. 2: The vast majority of women who make porn do so on thier own free will. Im not talking about cam girls from other countries or something else. Most women make it and profit well from it. Some have even become well know producers and own their rights to their material just like musicians. Armature porn is now becoming the next wave and you can be paid for uploading your own content which you own and control. Everything else in this picture; I agree.

You're completely wrong about porn. Look up what people who are out of the industry say about it. Those who are still working will lie, because they need to. And amateur porn? You have no way of knowing if it really is amateur (and uploaded with the consent of everyone involved) or just another production. It's usually the latter.

Exactly, Pro-lifers ignore the kids living in foster care, and the ones locked up in cages. If they were really concerned about the welfare of children because of what it says in the bible, they would actually be opposed to the imprisonment of child.

this is a disgusting generalisation of the pro life community. SO many pro lifers aren't religious, and SO many pro lifers are helping, assisting and donating to people in crisis however they can (yes, very unhelpful for your narrative i know.) STOP saying it's about religion, a human life is a human life whether or not you're religious, STOP saying we're only pro-birth, not pro life, that's a total misrepresentation, and STOP saying we don't care about the mother because there are SO many pro life organisations that are DEDICATED to helping pregnant women and mothers in crisis, as well as foster kids. and ffs stop downvoting any comment you disagree with. not that this is gonna stop you.

Not everyone lives in America and I as a UK resident both abhor abortion, what choice does that baby have? I also despair of the fate of children in care that often don't get the care they should. As a pro-lifer and a Catholic I want proper care and respect and happiness for every soul and I am also a vegan. All life is holy.

Pro-birth not pro-life. If you support the death penalty and bombing of countries were civilians are killed, you are not prolife. If you complain about social programs that help women and children because it's paid for with your tax dollars, than you are not pro life.

This is a laissez-faire capitalism and government policy issue, not an issue for individuals to fix. This is exactly what government and regulation is FOR, yet we have our governments totally colonized by corporatism to make sure as little regulation as possible gets done.

How apt... if she were given the same size board (aka: opportunities and a fair shake) her score would actually be higher (more centre mass). Typical - Woman get's "Bullseye"... response: "That's nice sweetie. What a great job for a woman. You may even get a raise! - but you'll still get paid less than the boys... oh and some of the boys are behind, can you pick up their slack? Thanks." Male: does mediocre job most of the time... does something SLIGHTLY above average a few times. Response: "GOOD on ya son!!! What a TEAM player! How astute! Here's your promotion!"

I find it interesting how many people here are saying well men make more because women take more time off to have children. first of all, most women aren't popping out a child once a year lol so that shouldn't effect their wages. second, does no one find it wrong that men don't get to take time off to be with their new born child? I guess that idea is a little to feminist to ponder on. companies can afford to allow PTO for maternity leave for both new moms and dad's, but they don't want to...

Yes it’s adjusted vs unadjusted wage gaps. It baffles me showing the true facts about it is considered sexist. Women make less money than men in America that’s all that percent gap everyone cites constantly represents. There is still a 5% wage gap vs what men and women make for the same jobs though.

Ok I definitely believe there was a huge gender gap especially with rights but with the wage gap I dont believe i that, right not if you look at the statistics and experiments men are just on average naturally more confident and impulsive therefore WAY more men ask for raises and take risks then women which in most cases makes the get paid more so its not the gender inequality that makes the difference its that men are more confident and impulsive i know there are also a lot more reasons and explanations but that is just one that explains it look it up

Many of the comments here show just how spot-on all of these are since so many people are reacting so defensively. Before you automatically defend yourself get educated. Nobody needs your opinion about whether or not women get paid less- it’s a proven fact an not up for debate like the rest here.

Yup. As a claims rep I took 4 death claims and as soon as the call is done the next one pops on. I remember every single one of them still after 5 years. Worst one was a guy who stuck his head out of a Bobcat to see what it was stuck on. He hit the leaver and the bucket came down. His partner found his head several feet away. But I'm supposed to just take the claim, show compassion, and then smile once the next call comes on. So glad I quit.

Being successful by standing on the shoulders of others, is for better or for worse, sometimes the only way to succeed. What sux is that those who have helped and contributed to another's success are more often than not treated like fecal waste.

Who does this? I have a device in front of me, and my companion has one in front of her. We are talking back and forth now and then between doing our own independent tasks in a shared space (we do separate things some times, and that’s fine). Otherwise, when we spend time together, we hardly ever touch our devices except to look up stuff we talk about. We are definitely not so distracted by phones, etc, as to not pay full attention to each other. It’s not the devices. It’s not a generation thing. It’s a fear-of-change thing. If anything bad is going on here, it’s how sick our culture is that it drives people to distraction, misery, etc. Thank your corporate overlords and your absentee government. If you are ignoring your relationship partners over a gadget in your face all day, that’s on YOU and your relationship management, not the device.

I work in the agriculture business and I saw the "no-landers mob" (MST) several times burning fields just to try to prove their point. And we're for years trying to grow upwards the crops, to stop use more land. Farmers don't see profit on fire - that destroys the soil - and the government don't see profit on farmers that can't produce. The natives themselves burns their own lands trying to become farmers - saw it too. I'm not defending the government, I'm just showing the problems are way bigger and harder to resolve. Woodcutting is a renewable commodity in Brazil and very profitable, only criminals goes to Amazon for wood.

It would be a little more accurate with a tiny door that says "Take a minute for security to ensure the safety of our people." But I agree the process takes far too long. Which is why I will stand by people of importance, ie border patrol, getting large pay raises in necessary times, like the border crisis. It also is not about not wanting people to get in, it is about wanting them in legally, that way people who are waiting in line do not get a jump cut by others.

What are schools supposed to do with 20+ children in a class? Sorry, but not everyone can be left to learn at their own pace, in their own way, it's not realistic. In our school district, kids do learn how to take care of each other, how to take care for the earth, etc. and of course the curriculum. What more can teachers and "the system" do? What is the answer? I see a lot of teachers and principles and support staff that care. Of course it's not going to fit everyone, it can't. That's not realistic.

As someone who struggles with depression, I know that feeling. It's the feeling of starting to fall down the rabbit hole. First you're pulled back. Then you're in the shadows. Finally your mind takes over and leaves you feeling so, so empty. Then the anxiety shows up... What could go wrong? Murphy's Law.

Im going to get down voted but will say it anyways; automation has been happening for decades. The work world is constantly changing jobs that existed in the 50's/ 60’s don’t exist anymore because of automation. For example people use to work as switch board operators to connect phone calls, which has been completely automated. This is the way of the future (and present) it is more economical for businesses to automate (use of AI or Machine Learning) than to employee people. Robots/computers require minimal down time, they don't require wages, holiday pay, sick days or pensions and they can run 24/7 with minimal errors. They only require maintenance and updating. It may sound scary as robots over take manufacturing jobs (repetitive piece work), but in contrast the demand for labor-intensive services will rise. Trades people will be in higher demand then ever. Also, the need to staying educated and skilled is not a new idea, this has been a constant for atleast the last century.

This is an awfully Luddite view, Automation is good when propagated in the right social environment. Of course it won't work in a crapitalist system because the people whose jobs are being "taken" by robots don't benefit from the automation, they become impoverished. But we don't run a Star Trek utopia, so automation will always be problematic. Put simply, technology = good, Society = bad.

This one is b******t, Europe is facing a huge immigrant crisis. We have taken in so many immigrants we can barely sustain them. While a lot integrate fairly well, many don't - they demand we change our culture to fit their religion and a huge number don't even want to work. We have also taken in huge numbers of terrorists along with the refugees. It's not hard to get into Europe, border patrols catch less than half of the people who cross borders illegally and most of them are men between the ages of 18-35.

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

Not always true. When my parents split, my dad wanted nothing to do with me. He moved to the other end of the country, started another family (his third), then went to prison for 5 years for beating his wife. He tried to contact me when he got out, but since he didn't bother for the 20 years he was gone before that, I sent him a message by proxy that he'd had his chances, and never took them, so I wanted nothing to do with him. He's dead now, and that's good, because as far as I know, he assaulted every woman he was ever with.

Disagree. If the divorce is that bad, do you really think they'd get along smoothly if they were still married? There might be more fake smiles, but children would still notice something was wrong. And think that a model relationship is resentful cohabitation.

Yes that was totally how me and my sister felt when my parents split, but I think what the artist is trying to say is that it is very hard to choose between your parents in that kind of situation. I was lucky because my dad bought a house in the same small town that my mum lives in, so we swap houses once a week, but we are still constantly being put in this situation, if extremely downscaled, where we are forced to choose a side,or a parent, or a house.

Not always true. Can't pretend a marriage in order to not hurt their children. Sometimes that big lie is more hurtful than divorce. Yes, there are some parents that de-attach from their kids as well as from their spouse, but it isn't a rule. This just can not be generalized.

My daughter was so thankful we got divorced, now she doesn't have to see her parents fighting any more. Now my children can see healthy, instead of toxic, adult relationships, and know they have two parents who love them regardless of who lives in what house.

I think this is more about how divorce is handled than divorce itself. One of my best friends got divorced because his wife was abusive. They were creating a horrible place for all three of them (they have a little girl). Now he's a wonderful dad, but his ex uses the girl against him. She doesn't give a s**t about the kid other than how she can use her to hurt him. Every situation is different, but people could be better and care about the kid instead of their petty fights.

I know a divorce lawyer - that is sadly a very common state of affairs. One mother has so brainwashed their child that they refuse to see their father at all and yet there doesn't seem to be any truth in what the mother has said. The judge is furious and quite rightly trying to adjust the balance.

I have a friend who used to do polling. It's extremely difficult to get accurate polls now. Decades ago, you could call phone numbers at random during the day, and be connected to someone willing to give you an answer to your handful of questions. Today, that does not really work well, nobody answers the phone. Polls conducted through the internet can only reach the people they are directed toward, which is why the results are always skewed.

There's a line between a creator making something as decoration and making something to convey a meaning. If it's the former then it's design, not art. But either the case, none is a basic need, it's a luxury.

Your attitude is exactly why I get distant....” Type 2: “I’m not being judgemental or sexist against women! I’m standing up for women! I’m not like those bad men who take advantage of women, pulling the wool over their eyes.. I’m saying it like it is. It would be AWESOME if we had stricter laws about what gets labeled as news. Commentary =/= news. Inflammatory or beside-the-point statements =/= news. Making statements intended to imply so not actually lies =/= news. None of those things are news. It should all be required to be labeled in a visible box on the side of the screen “legally, this show does not meet the required standard to call itself news”

I thought that was the point of the illustration, actually. This kid survived chemo and is on the way to recovery in part because of medical marijuana. I had stage IV lymphoma five years ago (there is no stage V), and survived it. I asked my doctor about weed which was and still is illegal in my country. She told me, "I am not allowed to tell you it will help, but it will help." After chemotherapy, I smoked weekly - to get my appetite going, to deal with pain, to relax, to sleep, to feel better, to have some fun. Others took capsules of cannabis extract which didn't get them high but got them craving food and sleep, exactly the two things your body needs to get stronger. So yeah, guys - we need to legalize this s**t yesterday!

I'm still really confused about what the wage gap is meant to be. No one can seem to agree on anything whether it's women in general being paid less or women who have very similar jobs and their male counterparts being paid more or the many factors that are involved in why people do tend to do certain jobs (Or in some places simply banned from them.)

I think, though not 100% sure, that it is suggesting that the man thinks he is so important that he doesn't have time to sleep. If he doesn't do the work it won't be done as brilliantly. I'm not saying I agree with the sentiment here. I've known both men and women who think they're so important that the company would collapse without them. It's bollocks. Most people are pretty much dispensible in the workforce.
