You're entitled to your perception. Theres nothing anorexic about these images. The heads are 2x larger then reality, the bodies are far too small to even be humanly possible. Everything is manipulated to the max in order to create something that does not exist in this reality.

People need to think before commenting I'm very skinny and over the last few years had more nasty comments regards my size than I did 5 years ago. My bloods are fine and normal blood pressure but taken to wearing baggy clothes to avoid as many mean comments as I can no I don't need a good meal eat just fine thankyou. Plus this is art no one comments on the victorian art trend for larger models saying led to obesity see it for what it is Art

These are beautiful and waif-ish and I also get that they are not humanly possible, but it's interesting to me the defensiveness that the artist has towards people observing that they look anorexic. It is art. And art should make you think. But the artist isn't claiming in her defense that it's a commentary on the ridiculously unobtainable standards of beauty that society imposes on women. Or the fact that photoshop can be used to create images that are almost cartoonish in their improbability. Don't get me wrong they are beautiful, I would love a print of some of these and might buy one if I can figure out where. But once art is out there it is open to interpretation by the rest of us and they do look painfully thin. Beautiful work.
