Fun fact as s child I was unaware of that the muppets was not infact the original christmas Carol. I though it their story 😅
I would have agreed to this just one month ago, but now I have to say, "Spirited" with Ryan Reynolds & Will Ferrell can stand alongside "Muppet Christmas Carol" in my opinion; Highly recommend watching it

One of the few movies I actually bought these last years. I am pretty sure our xmas movies are defined in our childhood.
Except they removed the romantic song when his fiancé leaves him. still in the original vhs copy though!
Disney + put the full version back if you have it--it's under the Extras tab. I hate the song (mostly her voice), but will admit the movie doesn't make a ton of sense if the song isn't there.

Booo! Stop trying to censor creativity! Just because you can't enjoy something does not justify killing the joy of those who can. FYI, I love The Muppets' Christmas Carol, too, and am so grateful to be able to appreciate other artists' expressions.
I love the muppets! But I'm not a fan of musicals, so their Christmas Carol is not one I watch on the holidays. Too much skipping for me. But the non singing parts are sooooo cute & funny!
The Muppets version is the only one I like. The rest can all go lick a lightbulb.
My favorite is Starkid's A VHS Christmas Carol, a musical available for free in its entirety on Youtube. I am not being paid to say this I just have 13 layers of autism and I love that show.

I strongly relate to this. Since week before Thanksgiving, I've lost two beloved pets, my f**king car bit the dust (transmission) and my 2nd extensive shoulder surgery is coming up. I haven't been able to work due to 1st shoulder's recovery. So for Christmas, I'm broke, rideless, and without my two furbabies
