So, when the kids I work with pass their driving test, I give them a present. In the bag is a seatbelt cutter/hammer tool, a small book on basic car maintenance, and a keyring that can fit a rolled up £20 note for emergencies. All useful things to have, and not very expensive

If you don’t have a hammer, most cars you can remove the head rest and smash the window with the metal posts.

In another post, someone said swimming out the window was impossible and you meed to break the window to let in water and to get more pressure on the inside of your doors to open them, what is it?

Make sure to use the tool to hit the corner of the window, not the center. It's very hard to break the window in the center.
