“What’s Wrong With Your Dog?”: People Are Sharing Pics Of Their Dogs Acting Bizarre (50 New Pics)
Every time I land in a corner of the internet where no one's arguing, fighting or calling each other names, I savor it. And the subreddit "What's Wrong With Your Dog?" is as pure as they can get.
Like we showed in our first publication on this online community, it's a place where people post pictures of their pets "malfunctioning". I mean, sure, some of them clearly haven't gone through the "Sit" manual and others might need to update their urge control drivers but no error makes these derps anything less than a good boy or a good girl.
Continue scrolling and tell me you're not feeling calmer with each image. I dare you.

The Sad Face He Gives Me When He Can't Sit In My Lap While I Drive
This is the perfect example of why we need self-driving cars!
Load More Replies...that's what you think...that dog is actually sad because you won't let him drive
I just hope it wouldn't turn that face on me for treats. That one I'd give in to. What a sweetie pie.
If you could now only teach him to make that face to any traffic police officer then you'd be golden
yeah, don't put your dog in a crate or at least in the footroom or don't have any other security for him.. if you have an accident your doggo will go through the front window...
Not to be "that person" cuz I used to let my dog ride on my shoulder like a parrot, but my husband had an accident with my Pomeranian in the car. He was OK, but all of the windows were busted out. I had to leave work(business casual) in August heat, we looked and screamed for her for hours. It was a terrible intersection of highway and country road, exit ramps, ditches, farms. I finally begged a fire fighter to come wrench the crumpled door open to see if she was smashed in there. Come to find out she was under the seat in shock and couldn't make a sound to let us know. They had to cut through the seat to get her out. No major injuries. Just a warning friends, you do no want this! Please crate dogs in the car!
Load More Replies...That face! This is, hands-down, the cutest thing I've seen all month!
agree with most folks here....cute dog but , drives me nutz when i see a dog in the lap of a driver...WTF!! be safe please, for everyone 😕
Maybe if you got him one of those old kiddie car seats with the little steering wheel. He could pretend to drive and beep the horn and stuff until you could park and let him "drive" the big car
This Feeling
am i the only living creature that HATES this thingy and the feeling it creates? my cats, my partner, our both parents, our siblings ALL our friends love it..
Bored Panda got in touch with just-a-traveler, the person who created the subreddit back in 2015, and they were kind enough to tell us more about it. "I made this subreddit because dogs are goofs. Pure hearted, lovable goofs," just-a-traveler said.
"I wanted that folks could have a place to share their [moments from their goof's life] while the rest of us gather around, point and laugh," the Redditor explained.
Since our last article, "What's Wrong With Your Dog?" has crossed the 1 million-member mark and currently has over 1.3 million followers.

My older dog goes and hides in the very back of the large crate we have. However, I always start with the younger dog, and the older one eventually comes out to bark at me in defense of her baby sister...lol. Dogs are awesome.

Load More Replies...I had the exact same experience with one of my dogs. Foster family said he'd just kinda live in the house. Was very independent and never made a sound. Well, Earl is GLUED to me at all times, loves cuddles and is the loudest being on earth.
The shelter ladies said I probably may never touch that 4 months young cat I got as a playmate for my other rescued kitten. He was the most unwanted kitten and had to move from one foster home to another because other cats bullied him too. 😢 Today I would leave him for a minute (getting a coffee or ...) and he will act as if I'm never petting that poor kitty! Slept on my pillow the very first night, can't get enough of cuddling and sometimes I think he is a plushie and he never ever scratched me! He's furever home since 14 years now! I met the shelter lady 3 weeks after adoption and she asked if I have already seen the cat, because when she brought him, he hid behind the washing machine. I told her we're nonstop cuddling and he only sleeps when I hug him. And so I got another happy hug from the shelter lady 😍♡ Always #AdoptDontShop! They all are sooo sweet! (Adopting shelter pets since 1996 without any regrets!)
So true. My "shy" cat does the same. He's currently sleeping on my feet and I can't move. 😂

"I wanted that folks could have a place to share their [moments from their goof's life] while the rest of us gather around, point and laugh," just-a-traveler explained.
But people aren't laughing at the pooches, they're laughing with them. Like we mentioned before, r/WhatsWrongWithYourDog isn't taunting the dogs or their owners. It doesn't allow posts about injured or dead dogs—as much as people might be heartbroken, it's just not the place for this content. Breed hate and other kinds of (verbal) abuse aren't tolerated either.

To be honest i understand them! I don't mind to be around others to sit or even nap but when i need my night sleep i want everyone to get the hell out of my bed! Or they just want to show you that your furniture is theirs now!
Load More Replies...My dogs are like that with toys. They only have value if someone else wants it!
For years I had two little rescue dogs, one of them a puppy mill rescue who had lived 12 years in a tiny cage. I provide hospice care, and don't crate my dogs, usually, but these two loved crates, so I set them up just like this, with the doors open. The little puppy mill dog would wait until I left the room, and run and climb in with her blind brother, like she was doing something wrong. Poor lamb. Those two shared a crate for years, but I left both of them up. so little Meg could pretend she was getting away with something.
Can't. Stop. Laughing! Got to love them the cheeky rascals! ; )

When it comes to causes of the most popular dog 'malfunctions', just-a-traveler said that mirrors and farts (both their own and their human's) are prime candidates. "Dogs will also sleep in any position as if their bones were jello. They have zero shame and are the best creatures on the planet," just-a-traveler concluded.

Had a dog once who dug a basement to her dog house. We didn't know it until we couldn't find her. After several minutes of calling, she finally, reluctantly, came out of her basement. We never did figure out what she did with all the dirt, but it took two truckloads of dirt to fill the hole when we moved.

Oh, let her out! She's just going to scrape up the floors dragging the crate. Let her roam free!
I don't understand this crate thing. In Sweden we would consider it animal cruelty.
It's a safety and training thing. The idea is that when you are asleep or out of the house the puppy goes in the crate so they don't eat something they shouldn't or pee in the house. My huskies are young and once they were potty trained at 4/5 months they were allowed to sleep outside of their crates on the floor. They go in their crates only if I am gone for more than an hour and never longer than 3 hours. Otherwise I can leave them out for an hour when I am gone and since I am home all day they choose where to nap and they often go in their crates on their own. This was the only way I found to keep my dogs safe that was effective because I have huskies and my two rescue huskies are destructive because they are extremely anxious when alone.
Load More Replies...What the hell is crate training? Why do you have a crate? This would be animal abuse here in Switzerland.
Many people use crates to keep young dogs safe and from peeing all over at night or while they are gone. Mine are crate trained, but only ever spend 3 hours max maybe once a week in them. I have huskies and at this point I can trust them and your loose in my house before they destroy stuff. This picture here is not okay, many use it to keep the dogs in almost 24/7 and it infuriates me. My dogs have the option to go into their crate for naps and the often do. Otherwise they are out with me all day.
Load More Replies...You do NOT train it like this. This poor dog had to have been really anxious to get the bottom out and wander all over the house! This is stressful and will only guarantee that in the future, the dog will not associate this crate with safety and comfort. THAT would be the goal, for dog to like the crate and feel safe. (Although honestly, I'd prefer it if the dog would feel safe and comfortable in the HOUSE and not in a cage)
I'll add that there might be some good reasons to have a crate anyway. Maybe if dog is sick and can't get rest, or to ensure that dog has a place to hide during thunderstorms or from noisy kids etc. In most cases, though, the door should be open

When I was a teen I always sat like that in short seats. I actually had to work to keep my legs together (insert joke-or something-here), and they'd quickly get sore. I don't have that problem as much now at 39, but I remember how difficult it was and sometimes STILL wish I had something I could place over my knees to hold them together when it started becoming an effort to do so.

She Has Anxiety Issues
Poor dog. Better off taking them with you when they’re this anxious, or maybe daycare.
Talk to your vet. There are medications for anxiety this severe. Desensitizing works too, but can take a long time. This poor baby needs help learning to cope. Confining them protects the house, but it doesn't calm the dog. Poor love.
Load More Replies...I think he need a proper house train, or for someone who has a dog , how to deal with this issue?
You have to build it up slowly and the dog has to feel secure. I was told the following: Leave them for 10 or 15 minutes and then come home. Don't make a huge fuss of them, it needs to seem normal (I know instinctively we want to pet/reassure but when you reassure a dog it can tell them that there was something to be worried about). You need to do this repeatedly, gradually lengthening the time you leave them for. If you have a naturally anxious animal it might never be something they are okay with. This is where crate training can be beneficial. The dog has to be trained to see the crate as a place of safety first though. Their own little space. Do not ever use it for leaving your dog until that part has happened first. If I am leaving my dogs for more than a couple of hours they go into doggy day care or I ask a friend to take them. Dogs aren't really suited to being left for much more than that. Definitely not in a crate.

Side note: Please research the dog you are thinking of adopting. Most large dogs are WORKING DOGS. You can't leave them alone for 10-12 hours and NOT expect your home to be completely gutted. They need to be walked or taken somewhere that they can run for at least 2-3 hours a day(not all at once) unless you have an immense backyard. Also, PLEASE buy a seat belt for your dog. Okay, thanks for listening.
Yes! Absolutely! People also need to think about how they will manage a sick or injured dog. If you can't pick it up, how can you get it to a vet? What if it goes lame on a walk? I've had that happen with more than one dog and ended up carrying them. Or if a dog is suddenly scared and bolts - big dogs could have you off your feet in seconds and be gone. My parents in laws dog was scared by a clap of thunder and was missing for hours until he returned home - crossing several dangerous roads. Have a dog you can physically manage. Terriers are a stubborn, energetic dog. Springer spaniels are very high energy - it's not always just the big dogs though I agree with everything that Zoe's mum said. Check your life is suitable, see what traits different breeds have. Put the animal first. You may want one, but make sure it is fair for the dog.
Load More Replies...I don't get why people are saying research your dog breed so as to "prevent" these things from happening. Don't know what photos you're looking at, but I'm looking at mostly photos of silly doggy expressions and weird ways of sitting/lying. These things don't need preventing, and researching the breed wouldn't prevent them anyway. Do your research of breeds before you adopt, sure, but that has morning to do with these photos.
Well, maybe it is because the last photo in the list is of that poor, beautiful dog that ate the sofa. Dogs do that when bored, anxious, lonely and often because the owners have a dog they can't cope with, haven't trained, or shouldn't leave alone. People should know what they are getting themselves into before getting a dog yet often it is a whim. Besides, Zoe's Mom wrote 'side note' and can make a separate point, it isn't illegal. Others joined in because they care. It is also vitally important that people really DO research and take the factors raised above into account. Dogs end up in shelters because people liked the way they looked but didn't realise a particular breed had considerable grooming needs or required complex play. I worked in animal welfare for years and have seen the results of humans making stupid choices at the detriment of animals.
