I’ll start off with a tip that I recently saw here - when someone calls you tell them your battery is about to die and then you can hang up as soon as it gets awkward 😂

Walk around fast with keys in your hand. Nobody talks to fast walking key guy they have important business to attend to

Telling myself that awkwardness is okay.
That I am oke. That I am good enough.
And awkwardness is just a feeling - it too shall pass.
That I have better things to do than worry over those things.

When I was 16 I was incredibly self conscious, and my mom said the most helpful thing to me- the gist of it was that’s that most people are so wrapped up in worrying about how they appear to others that they probably aren’t giving my awkwardness a second thought, too wrapped up in worry about their own. It made me feel so much better and I’ve always remembered it.

If a person you don't like wants to hang out with you, come up with a good excuse. Here are some examples:
1.Sorry, I'm sick(try to sound like you have a stuffy nose for it can be more convincing!)
2.) Sorry, I already have plans for today.( If they ask for tomorrow, say yes and say No1)
3.) I can't, sorry, I'm having some family issues.

And now of course, "I think I was exposed to COVID-19 and don't want to make you sick!"

Just remember-no one really cares about you they are thinking about themselves and if they are judging you then f**k em. Also remember-it’s not that serious, and be nice to everyone. Awkwardness avoided.

At my local bar one night with my friend Dan, (who I love to create ackward situations for btw) and this guy just comes up staring at the tv. This is the outside part of the bar. The guy keeps looking over in my direction, then back so eventually I say 'Whats up dude?'. The guy begins telling me this story about 'They put a chip in my wife and she turned on me' this and that. And Im responding to him like 'thats horrible. Im sorry to hear that, I hope yall get it figured out'. This goes on for about 10 minutes.

The whole time, its all Dan can do to keep himself contained. Delighted at my displeasure with this ackward occurance. I let the guy go on and on. Dan is trying harder and harder not to laugh. I was trying to wait Dan out ya know, til he got bored with the situation. Finally, I cant take anymore and the guy stops talking.

I turned to they guy and say to him 'I know exactly what youre going through. They did the same thing to my wife.' and the he just turned and walked the f**k away. Dan's response was 'Dude, how did you do that?' and I was like 'I dunno.'

If you have to have a conversation that you know is gonna be awkward make sure your not at all hungry, or tired. Your division making skills get worse.

Also remember that there’s always another feeling behind anger. Know exactly how you feel and what you want before confronting someone.

Number one: Find people who like you, awkwardness and all, and things will suddenly stop being awkward.🤣

Number two: Always be polite, but never be afraid to laugh at yourself. Saved me so many times.

Number three: Find a back-up man. Mine is my sister. Her brain is quick enough to process my mistakes and correct them before it gets too awkward. She's a life-saver.😁

don't try to fix an awkward comment without thinking- it will usually make things WAY worse.. I know this from experience, believe me. even then I still have trouble lol..... ;-;
