Flowers for Algernon. An incredibly moving book that like all great books reads the reader. It's about a vulnerable man with learning difficulties who is given a high IQ and who then realises everything. It took me a long time to close the book once I reached the last page. Recommended and unforgettable.
Allegiant in the Divergent series. We don't talk about the end.
The movie ending was horrible compared to the books. Spoiler coming but when he faced his fear of heights to spread tris's ash's I was crying
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. Broke my f*****g heart and left me sobbing in the middle of class.

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. TWs in the book: suicide, abuse, bullying, death (maybe some more that I don't remember) I read it a month or so before it became a movie. ... I also read it when I was a little bit too young lol. Here's a good one sentence summary: A girl (Violet Markey) learns to live from a boy who intends to die (Theodore Finch).

Theodore is obsessed with death and is constantly trying to find the best way to kill himself but something always stops him. Violet and Finch meet on an out of bounds school ledge, six stories high, both contemplating suicide. Violet is suicidal from survivor's remorse, when her sister was killed in a car accident. They become each other's reason to live. It's a sweet book, but made me bawl my eyes out in the middle of a class lol. It's similar to John Green's "The Fault in our Stars" which also made me cry
Oh that book (and the fault in our stars) are both on my tbr (I like books that make me cry)

Not really one to cry over media, but this one had me tearing up.
King and the Dragonflies
I won't reveal anything, but it's amazing. It's something you just have to see for yourself.
I haven't even finished it but I've sobbed all the way through: Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry. It's a memoir about his drug addiction and dang... I don't know how he is still able to live. I've been going back and rewatching Friends episodes, Studio 60, and some of his movies and remembering what he said about each one and wow... It's inspiring even if it's tragic.
I can think of 2 times I cried because of a book. The first was at the end of Remains of the Day, where Mr Steven fails to tell Miss Kenton that he loves her. I don’t know why that gets me.. I suppose it completely confirms all the regrets he has about his life. The second was in the Half Blood Prince, when Dumbledore died.
The funeral scene got me, and then again in the movie when they all raise their wands😭
The Bridge to Terabithia. I don't normally cry while reading, but LESLIE!!!
Basically every book. Even if it’s happy, I WILL somehow find a sad part. I’m very emotional 🙂

I know this is basic, but... Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I think that's the one I'm referencing, but the point is... I cried a lil when Dumbledore died. The way JKR wrote it, it was just so heartbreaking and moved me. I've read the series three times and the only time I cried was the third time around.

Those "A Dog's Life" books were absolutely brutal to read as a child. Especially when they got turned into a movie...even my mother was crying at the end, and I've literally watched this woman run straight into a wall, get up, and start laughing.
I went to see A Dogs Way Home when it came out, my mom warned me, but I did it anyways. Both of us were bawling by the end.
A Separate Peace by John Knowles. Beautifully tragic.
'Principles of Physics' by Jearl Walker, David Halliday and Robert Resnick
A Year of Impossible Goodbyes and its sequel Echoes of the White Giraffe by Sook Nyul Choi.
They are about a girl growing up doing the time of the Korean War. The endings to both books are so bittersweet and mournful.

At the end of Alice in Wonderland when she has to leave the Cheshire cat behind. It probably wasn't as sad as most on the list, but it hurt me. It really did.
The Illusion Series (just an illusion-side A/just an illusion side b/ and just an illusion unplugged) by D. Kelly--broke my heart into a million pieces. I still cry if I think about the story.
Ellie’s Story by W. Bruce Cameron. It’s a easy reading book, yes, but I SOBBED. It’s a story about a police dog. A very very good girl.
The Green Mile by Stephen King.
Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan.
History is All You Left me by Adam Silvera.
Swimming in the Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski.
Beneath the Wheel - Herman Hesse. It's a short book, but is so emotionally powerful. It captures so well the injustices in life, and why we should be more compassionate and empathetic to those around us.
Where the red fern grows, the ending broke my heart. I love that book so much I will never read it again.
That book will forever be on my Never Read list (And probably one of the only books on it as well)
Either FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC or HEAVEN by VC Andrews- such strong women in such tragic situations.
This one doesn't even need a spoiler because I don't have to go into detail. Mostly everybody knows what I mean by this title. The Outsiders. Nuff' Said.
