Ok, but where does the crossed heads gable ornament motif come from? Those aren't a thing in Bavaria as far as I know (from the memories of one visit to Upper Bavaria, having seen pictures and a quick google search). Is that a Wisconsin thing? Or did someone just think it would look cool? - One very curious and confused Low Saxon (Some context: crossed horse heads are traditional on Low German houses (and sometimes other animals, but horses are kinda A Thing, especially in Lower Saxony.))

Every time I take a picture of the moon and end up with a glowing blob, my husband reminds me that it's not just sitting there but moving through space at a pretty good clip. I still have glowing blobs, but now I know why! 😊
