It is theorized that some animal species live in their own social structure, which has an alpha male, the most well-known being the alpha wolf. Alpha males usually are the strongest ones in the group, which means they win most of the battles and have more opportunities to mate with available females.

It’s proven that the human species don't have an alpha male. However, that does not stop some men from identifying as one. Even though they are the only ones who think of themselves as “the strongest” as this Reddit thread proves. In fact, people have very interesting opinions about men who claim to be “alpha males.” And let’s just say that these opinions are very different from what “alpha males” think of themselves.

Reminds me of all the gun owners showing off their guns, posing with them online, showing off their whole arsenal. That's pretty stupid, but I guess their ego is bigger than their brain. Don't EVER tell anyone what weapon(s) you have, especially in a public forum. And a gun is a tool, not a toy to show off. You don't pose with your hammer or saw for Facebook, do you?

The concept of an alpha wolf, where the " alpha male" idea comes from, has been proven to be mostly false. In a zoo environment where wolves from many different packs are put together, an "alpha" emerges. In the wild, packs are family units, related by blood. No alpha male, typical family dynamic.

37 People Take The Time To Roast ‘Alpha Males’ In Online Discussion That Alpha Males are a debunked concept some dude developed while studying wolves in captivity and then retracted years later when he realized his findings were wrong, and that was later extrapolated to humans by dumba**es despite the fact that our social structures and behavior is not similar to wolves or dogs. In the wild, an alpha wolf doesn't lead the pack, but brings up the rear, making sure no family member is left behind. I would then consider an alpha male to make sure his family is safe, and be very caring.

He will hurt you anyway, no anger required. His street cred depends on proof he can dominate and cower others. Because he is also a coward with a fear of failure he hunts the emotionally and physically vulnerable to prove his power. When in a group situation if nothing else is around to show off his alphaness, he kicks puppies.

37 People Take The Time To Roast ‘Alpha Males’ In Online Discussion Omegaverse. Long story shortish Omegaverse is a sort of fiction genre that originated in the Supernatural fandom but mostly shows up in original Korean fiction now. The idea is that everyone has a secondary gender (alpha, omega, sometimes beta) and basically Alphas are strong and have uncontrollable lust, omegas can get pregnant (even the men!), and almost every Omegaverse fic is about some super hot Alpha getting some obnoxious Omega male pregnant. So whenever guys are like "Hurrdurr alpha male" I'm just like "GAY KOREAN MPREG FICTION".

Trust me as a martial artist, discipline and respect is taught very quickly. And one part of that discipline is having the knowledge and techniques to protect yourself only as a last resort, not your first course of action. And most true martial arts practitioners don't go about seeking a fight, unless it is in a professional/competitive/sparring setting against another willing participant, and not random bar fight.
