30 Graffiti Of Popular Characters With A Dark Twist Made By This Artist In Abandoned Buildings
Abandoned buildings hide the mysteries and stories from earlier times. Left on their own, they do not attract the usual crowds of people anymore and do not serve the purpose they once were built for.
For the artist David Lozano, Barcelona’s abandoned places have a special meaning. Worn-down walls serve as a canvas for his imaginative caricature drawings. Easily recognizable characters such as “Cookie Monster” are depicted in a unique and, quite frankly, frightening way.

This work is brilliant and so creative. Great colors and technique and combined with found with discarded items make them even better. I can't say enough about the quality of his work.
Barcelona is known for its art. Lots of people come to see the work of Gaudi or other famous artists. But art not only lingers in the most famous museums or art galleries. Sometimes art can appear in the weirdest places.
Nowadays, street art tells as much of a story as any other art form. If you don’t want to spend money on museums, then street art is the way to go.

Just imagine walking by that in the middle of the night…

Street art in Barcelona marks its beginning not that long ago. In the 1970s after the collapse of the Franco regime, Barcelona's street art scene officially started to appear. The restrictions were generally loose up until roughly 2002, which allowed Barcelona's street art scene to thrive.

Artist David Lozano took street art to another level by deciding to make amazing paintings over the walls of abandoned buildings and places. It almost is like giving another life and purpose to the places that used to be crowded with people a long time ago.

Instead of being in abandoned buildings, these should be in a gallery!

The craftsmanship that goes into these graffiti artworks is beyond amazing. The drawing style this artist chose might also have contributed to the incredible effect.
The art style David paints in is quite frightening, and it only fits better with the context of abandoned buildings. It gives a feeling of these drawings haunting the buildings after they are left alone.

Accurate. Having used to work in one they get away with a LOT of dodgy practices. I still love the burgers though...
Absolutely love this one, this is the accurate depiction from my head when I was a little girl and mother made me go up to Ronald McDonald because she worked there! Early 80's Ronald! Made me hate clowns lmao!
He really was terrifying. I don't blame you for being scared of him. I saw the original It movie when I was about 9 or 10 years old (I was a huge horror junkie as a kid) and it totally ruined clowns for me. I always thought they were kinda creepy, but Tim Curry's amazing portrayal of Pennywise just sent me over the edge and I've been scared of clowns ever since. Funny, but kinda not funny story... When I was 16 I let my cousin talk me into going to the circus with her and her daughter. Before the circus show we got to do a little meet and greet with the circus acts. One of the clowns walked up and started hitting on me. I literally started crying and ran out trying not to pee myself. I don't know what was scarier... The fact that he was a clown or that he was trying to pick up on a teenager. Makes my tummy get all wobbly just thinking about it. 🤮
