Fruits, vegetables, and berries come in various shapes and sizes—just like humans do. However, unlike with people, we don't often see diverse-looking produce in stores. As it turns out, produce is held to strict and unrealistic "beauty" standards which result in tremendous amounts of perfectly edible vegetables and fruits being thrown away or fed to livestock. Yet from time to time, some of the ugly and imperfect veggies slide past the strict evaluation process and end up in stock. Unused to the sight, many customers avoid buying them; however, those who buy food online don't always have the opportunity to see what they'll get. That's why when a Twitter user named Naomi ordered 1 kg of sweet potatoes, she was surprised to get one mutant potato she called "PotatoZilla." Inspired by this funny incident, we decided to gather a list of sizeable units people got when ordering produce. Check them all out below!

LOVE the big carrots! Much less work when you’re prepping a large quantity, since you don’t have to peel as many. Plus, their super-sized form is just impressive. I can only find them in Asian groceries, though...unfortunately. At least I know a restaurant supplier is a guaranteed win.

This is the size of the strawberries you pick yourself here in FL. Disney uses some this size to dip in chocolate. Yum.

The trick to picking a avocado that has lots of meat is picking one that is slender and not too round! the rounder the avo, the bigger the seed.

"Solo garlic, also known as single clove garlic, monobulb garlic, single bulb garlic, or pearl garlic, is a type of Allium sativum (garlic). The size of the single clove differs from approximately 25 to 50 mm in diameter. It has the flavour of the garlic clove but is somewhat milder and slightly perfumed." (Wikipedia)

The privileged few who feel compelled to squander the GNP of a small nation on food to cram into their meat carcasses make me eager for mother nature to get on with the thinning of the species already.
