Food delivery workers are the saviors of our Friday nights at home. They bring us pizza and allow us the joy of indulging in our laziness along with it. Sometimes, however, they also add a little extra.
There's a Twitter account called "Suspicious DMs". It shares funny, weird, and even creepy messages that people receive from others, and (not) surprisingly, delivery workers are quite a popular category among both the senders and receivers.
From using ridiculous memes to announce their arrival, to obnoxiously hitting on a client... it's all there!

As US sanctions on Russian oil have driven up demand and fuel prices continue to rise, many of them are rethinking how they make a living.
"Oh God, it's horrible," DoorDasher Kam Zuniga told WSMV4. "It makes it harder because you don't want to do it because you're spending gas money and time and energy, and you're not getting paid very much," she explained, adding that sometimes one delivery pays less than the current price of a gallon of gas.
"Sometimes you get $2.75 runs, and there’s a no tip on it, and you can’t feed your family you can’t put gas in your car," Zuniga said.

Saw one lately where a cop dropped off the food since they arrested the dasher right in front of the customer’s house!
But of course, not all of them are saints. A survey, which was commissioned and conducted by restaurant food supplier and distributor US Foods, asked both consumers and delivery workers about their "habits and pain points" when it comes to ordering and delivering meals.
The responses revealed some unique insight as to how long people will actually wait to get their food, attitudes toward tipping, and more. Unfortunately, they also presented some unsettling information. For example, out of nearly 500 delivery workers surveyed, 28% said they tasted food from an order.
Looks like the temptation of a delicious meal is just too hard to resist. Especially when it's just sitting in your car.

I honestly think I saw this somewhere else on BP where the set up was something like, “creepers who went too far”. I think the guy got a complaint against him and commenters were all, “he should be fired!”, and irate about his unprofessional conduct.

My mom was complaining her phone was running slow and she kept getting “low memory” notifications. I told her I’d fix it for her. She had 1300+ unread emails, 400ish unread text messages, 1000+ Facebook notifications, 75ish open browser tabs, and a partridge in a pear tree. When I asked her about it, she said she didn’t know what “all those numbers meant.” She didn’t know about notifications and she didn’t know you could click on them.

A delivery driver I worked with over 10 yrs ago at this well known pizza place (won't name) did a massive bong hit as his tip. Dude was so high he started freaking out saying there where pink elephants on the ceiling and everyone had turned into walking green pokadots! I will never forget that day. (He was also assistant manager later down the line. Cool dude!)

Y'all didn't count the blocks. The 4 min delivery time is assuming he's driving. The walker is at least 11 blocks away, and I don't see a bridge. Depending on the size of the blocks he will be walking for at least a half mile and maybe three or more miles. He's not doing it in 4 minutes.

I give delivery drivers similar instructions, though more politely - please don't ring the bell because it'll wake people up, just call or text when you get here. 90% of drivers still ring the bell, so I'm assuming this guy had a similar experience. I now work around this by waiting at the front when the app indicates the driver is close.

Usually you pay before and if anything is missing from the order or of it never shows up, you can get a refund. Most of the time its in credits that can only be used in the app. If you want the cash back it takes like a week to process. Also if you cancel before it depends customer service. Sometimes they get the full payment sometimes it's a portion or none at all.

Probably did not get the money back or it took forever. The one and only time we ordered from Uber the delivery man got lost and was a a mile away. He refused to take directions, so he delivered to any address. The person accepted food, and it took two months to see a refund

This, this is why I'll never do door dash. My anxiety goes full bore when I go to an unfamiliar place. Then you're given vague instructions on where to go to leave the food, then the whole time I'm thinking I fvcked up somehow.

They were just talking a photo when u happened to open the door. If u request it to be dropped of a photo had to be taken in order to clear the order from the screen even if u hand it directly to the customer after the check no contact u still have to take a photo to end the order.
