Food delivery workers are the saviors of our Friday nights at home. They bring us pizza and allow us the joy of indulging in our laziness along with it. Sometimes, however, they also add a little extra.
There's a Twitter account called "Suspicious DMs". It shares funny, weird, and even creepy messages that people receive from others, and (not) surprisingly, delivery workers are quite a popular category among both the senders and receivers.
From using ridiculous memes to announce their arrival, to obnoxiously hitting on a client... it's all there!

Hmm... If you put one lasagna on another lasagna, you still only have one lasagna. The ultimate excuse to eating too much lasagna. Even if you stacked five lasagnas and ate it all,(DO NOT RECOMMENDED) you would only have eaten one!
actually, it would not one lasagna, as you did not cook the all at that said height, of you were too put them next to each other, then it would be one lasagna, fite me. lasagna war.

If you, however, get a strange text from your delivery driver, don't judge them. At least right away. Maybe they're just stressed.
As US sanctions on Russian oil have driven up demand and fuel prices continue to rise, many of them are rethinking how they make a living.
"Oh God, it's horrible," DoorDasher Kam Zuniga told WSMV4. "It makes it harder because you don't want to do it because you're spending gas money and time and energy, and you're not getting paid very much," she explained, adding that sometimes one delivery pays less than the current price of a gallon of gas.
"Sometimes you get $2.75 runs, and there’s a no tip on it, and you can’t feed your family you can’t put gas in your car," Zuniga said.
I’m a DoorDash driver, those are the numbers that it goes through, it’s really no one’s number.

I think Roger is just being sassy and trying to make his customer laugh (err, after he lets them know it IS a joke and they WILL be getting their food, I hope…)
Load More Replies...But according to Middle Tennessee State University Economics Professor Daniel Smith, prices will only climb higher.
The United States gets most of its oil from Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia," he said. "But about 8% of our oil does come from Russia, so certainly banning that source is going to affect gas prices in the United States."
"The extent to which gas prices rise is, of course, going to be kind of determined politically by how much President Biden does open up the oil reserves."
It happened in New Jersey (now is it believable? :/

I agree with you. It should be UberEats to distinguish it from Uber. That way, "your UberEats order" message doesn't give that initial response of WHAT?

that reminds me of a video of a cop delivering some food to someone because the delivery driver got arrested.
I saw a clip of a police who delivered the food cause the door sash was arrested finally a non-s**t cop
Saw one lately where a cop dropped off the food since they arrested the dasher right in front of the customer’s house!
But of course, not all of them are saints. A survey, which was commissioned and conducted by restaurant food supplier and distributor US Foods, asked both consumers and delivery workers about their "habits and pain points" when it comes to ordering and delivering meals.
The responses revealed some unique insight as to how long people will actually wait to get their food, attitudes toward tipping, and more. Unfortunately, they also presented some unsettling information. For example, out of nearly 500 delivery workers surveyed, 28% said they tasted food from an order.
Looks like the temptation of a delicious meal is just too hard to resist. Especially when it's just sitting in your car.
isnt that... technically sexual harassment? (idfk im just wondering)
It would be probably be considered harassment if it was a girl so I'd say yes here because yeah. You never know if somebody will find it funny or be creeped out.

Load More Replies...I don't think it's loyalty. Probably they get charged for food they don't deliver.
Load More Replies...True dedication would be if they had the ambulance swing by with the order on the way to hospital
I am probably missing the point, so can someone please explain why this is hilarious? Getting hit doesnt seem like fun to me.
It is funny because the delivery person still messaged them.

they always ask where's the uber eats driver, but never how's the uber eats driver. or why the uber eat's driver, for that matter.
Everyone always asks who's the driver, but no one ever asks how's the driver.
My mom was complaining her phone was running slow and she kept getting “low memory” notifications. I told her I’d fix it for her. She had 1300+ unread emails, 400ish unread text messages, 1000+ Facebook notifications, 75ish open browser tabs, and a partridge in a pear tree. When I asked her about it, she said she didn’t know what “all those numbers meant.” She didn’t know about notifications and she didn’t know you could click on them.

Responding to the survey results, a Postmates spokesperson provided the following statement to TODAY: "At Postmates, nothing is more important to us than the safety and wellbeing of our entire community, which is why we require each person who completes a delivery using Postmates to expressly agree that all food and goods delivered will arrive in a tamper free form and in compliance with all applicable food health and safety laws."
Jesus ... What goes on in people's brain when they are like this?? It's not ok to call a stranger "bby" and send a kiss (PLUS IT'S AFTER NIDNIGHT!)
That's the thing. There is nothing going on in a brain line that.

Hello good sir, I have your medical test results. You have three days to live awesome day,
Interesting thought! Actually, the first message says the delivery boy's name is Jimmy. :) So no need to worry!
Load More Replies...And depending on your location walking can be faster than driving
Load More Replies...I fail to see a problem. Delivery time still looks quite reasonable.
Depending on the city a 4 minute walk could be way faster than finding parking
With gas at 6+ bucks a gallon in Cali...I'd walk it over too...Y'all gonna be real HANGRY real quick if this keeps up!! 😳
Y'all didn't count the blocks. The 4 min delivery time is assuming he's driving. The walker is at least 11 blocks away, and I don't see a bridge. Depending on the size of the blocks he will be walking for at least a half mile and maybe three or more miles. He's not doing it in 4 minutes.
Maybe - that's assuming they didn't alter the transport method from car to foot so that the timing IS accurate. There isn't any 'hilarious' follow up where they are asking 'where are you' and complaining the food will be cold.
Load More Replies...Then next time you walk your a$$ the 4 minutes and get it your self
If someone is so in need of a job that they're delivering food on foot, you can bet your ass I'll give you the best tip possible.
I heard two delivery places that walked my food to me when I didn't feel like walking.
He should have worded it differently. Like this: "PLEASE DO NOT RING MY MFKN DOORBELL"
Load More Replies...Could be someone whose baby just fell asleep, there's no energy left for politeness, just for not committing murder.
I give delivery drivers similar instructions, though more politely - please don't ring the bell because it'll wake people up, just call or text when you get here. 90% of drivers still ring the bell, so I'm assuming this guy had a similar experience. I now work around this by waiting at the front when the app indicates the driver is close.
Some people don't live alone & people be sleeping. Ringing doorbells are loud af at 3 am.
I'm defending the dude but I ask that no doorbells are rung because they're for the other flats. I don;t have a doorbell so they're being annoying to my neighbors on my behalf when I explicitly and politely asked and its frustrating.
Question: if you cancel do you get your money back? Or is this one of those pay after you receive services?
Usually you pay before and if anything is missing from the order or of it never shows up, you can get a refund. Most of the time its in credits that can only be used in the app. If you want the cash back it takes like a week to process. Also if you cancel before it depends customer service. Sometimes they get the full payment sometimes it's a portion or none at all.
Load More Replies...If you cancel before the food starts being prepared you can get a refund. If not you're pretty well screwed.
Not if if the food hasn't/won't be delivered. I've gotten full refunds them a number of times, mostly because of misdelivers.
Load More Replies...Probably did not get the money back or it took forever. The one and only time we ordered from Uber the delivery man got lost and was a a mile away. He refused to take directions, so he delivered to any address. The person accepted food, and it took two months to see a refund
Not cancelled reported as not delivered right? Cancel means I'm playing games. Not delivered u take the strike not me!
Just leave it in front of the building's main door and the rest is their problem.
This, this is why I'll never do door dash. My anxiety goes full bore when I go to an unfamiliar place. Then you're given vague instructions on where to go to leave the food, then the whole time I'm thinking I fvcked up somehow.
It's nothing. They just happened to have been taking the pic for the app while he was opening the door.
Load More Replies...They were just talking a photo when u happened to open the door. If u request it to be dropped of a photo had to be taken in order to clear the order from the screen even if u hand it directly to the customer after the check no contact u still have to take a photo to end the order.
Why do we call it hamburger? It's not a pork product. Seriously, this has been bugging me since the first lockdown.
It is named after the city of Hamburg, Germany. It has nothing to do with ham.

How dare you, Monica!!! Anything related to food is a serious matter!
I’d love if this were like, a couple of people dating and one works for DoorDash, and just went to pick up their food themselves- or the DoorDash one was already working so the one at home just ordered something and asked that they pick it up
It's currently 5:24am; I've cropped out just that picture and sent it to five contacts in my phone, chosen at random, with neither text nor context. Now begins the waiting game
Well, I suppose it means they don't want it... It would be a shame is it was wasted... So...
But do you gots the funk? Coz if it's funky, I be getting down till the break o'dawn.

We don't have this kind of service where I live but seeing how many drivers are crossing the line makes me think that I wouldn't use it anyway.
This makes me so glad I have a car so I don't have to order through these weird services anymore
While I've been tempted, I don't need weird random people handling my food. Only order delivery from the restaurant, so pizza it is. Why are people using this when you have no idea if you'll even get your food at all?
Maybe the restaurant doesn't do their own deliveries. Maybe people don't care. Maybe people don't got much options on where they can order from.
