This isn't SA so much as avoiding a lawsuit. No one thought coffee had to be labeled as "hot," but this is the time in which we live.

Except the coffee thing was legit. They had gotten in trouble on several occasions for serving it was too hot, which they did to save money. Because if the coffee with free refills is so hot you have to wait for it to cool you drink less. The woman in question was seriously injured. It wasn't an uncomfortable scald and a reason for a frivolous lawsuit. She had third degree burns and skin grafts as a result. I agree some stupid people exist and others are looking for reasons to sure. Bags of peanuts may contain nuts. But the McD's vs Liebeck case isn't one of them.
