It's one thing to make an edgy joke when you're with friends, but completely next level to put it on a sign in public. Yet some people, including business owners, have both the wit and the courage to try it and pull it off.

Mocking rude past customers in order to attract new ones... Teasing current employees... Nothing is off-limits if you know how to go about it. And don't worry—your joke won't be lost even when you have to take down the sign. If it's really good, someone will surely take a picture of it and upload the image to the r/FunnySigns subreddit. With over 143,000 members, it's a catalog of some of the best signs, billboards, and warnings out there. Continue scrolling and check out some of its most popular posts to date.

These signs definitely have a lot of personality. And it's precisely what people and businesses want from them. Sick and tired of chain culture slowly making all high streets look the same, many city shops are returning to handpainted signs. It's estimated that there are about 300 full-time signwriters working in the UK alone.

As young graphic designers and artists are making their way into the industry, signwriting enthusiast Sam Roberts said that: "This is a generation that has grown up with computers at the heart of their work and who are seeking to engage with the physical processes that go into producing letter forms."

The subreddit r/FunnySigns is an old one—it was created all the way back in 2012. With 143,000 members, it's neither big nor small. However, I feel that it's going to remain relevant. After all, people want to be individual, to stand out. And creating a good sign achieves just that.

Third. Unfortunately, we are heading to the stage similar to that of the Roman empire where people watch others suffering and idiocy for amusement. And as is human nature, it is exploited.

It's more than just an education. You also have to have an open mindset, which most people just don't. God is this. We do that. And nothing you can say makes any difference. That's just non-thinking, no matter how book-smart they are. One example are archeologists. It's either grain storage or a temple; there is nothing else. There's a lovely book entitled The Rise of Christianity, and the Closing of the Western Mind. The author makes the premise that as Christianity became more set in stone, it atrophied our ability to think both logically and outside the box. This is how it's always been, therefore, this is how it must be.

we have a culture of it. There are so many scientists, poets, artists, philanthropists youve never heard of but most people know those morns on s**t reality TV and when we do have a young person of worth to celebrate like Greta Thunberg society decries them. We just keep celebration vacuous idiots.

And *that* is due to the carefully cultivated belief that"My ignorance is as good as your knowledge." (Mostly cultivated by religious fanatics, I'm sorry to say.)

There was a column in PEOPLE magazine entitled "Famous For Nothing." It included names like LaToya Jackson and Kato Kaelin (witness at the OJ Simpson trial). The column grew so long, they discontinued it.

I raise you this - so many people want to be famous by doing nothing or think that they should have people famous just for being themselves. and then when someone is famous for just being themselves, they hate them...

We pay big money for the dumbest things. Why do we think an athlete or actor or politician is worth more than a teacher or EMT or a farmer?
