Have you ever had a conversation with someone about your favorite food or drink, only to have them turn their nose up in disgust? "Ew, how on Earth can you possibly enjoy that?" they might say. "It's gross!"

And they're well within their rights. After all, taste is highly subjective; just because someone doesn't enjoy a particular flavor or texture doesn't mean it's not delicious to others. Right?

Well, the Instagram account 'Most Offensive Foods' is here to challenge that notion. As its name suggests, this fun little online project is on a mission to find objectively terrible dishes, and it's not holding anything back. From brewing coffee with pasta water to a Doritos and Mountain Dew cheesecake, continue scrolling to check out the abominations.

The fact that these jello monstrosities are called 'salad' disturbs me more than anything.

7-up cake and mt dew cake are both actually very good. Not sure why everyone is hating on them. They are very tasty, moist lemony sort of flavored cakes. Like lemon bread.

I would happily try this. Probably with a spoon handy when it falls apart, but I'd eat it.

I know this sounds gross, but I have this delicious sweet 'n sour cocktail hot dog recipe. My mom refused to tell me what was in it (my step aunt made it) until I was older... ketchup and grape jelly. You literally melt them together. And if I had known I would've barfed, but listen - I loved it, and still do. Sometimes weird combos work.

I'd see nothing wrong with this... butternut squash soup uses the same spice combo as pumpkin pie spice, basically would just be a thinner version of that with noodles Maybe just skip the whipped cream and espresso shot haha

Mushroom and cheese tortillas? Canned mushrooms and fake cheese, I have to agree. Nasty. But made with real cheese and fresh grilled mushrooms rolled up would be good. Dipped in cheese sauce or salsa. I’d add onion maybe and cilantro.

Mushrooms in tortilla are okay by me, but please at the very least, saute them with some sauce first or grill them at least.

done properly, i think has a potential to be very good, but slimy, nasty, canned mushrooms and a slice of processed cheese product is NOT it.

I'd use real cheese and sauté those mushrooms with some onion and garlic.

I see the tortillas, I see the processed cheese-like substance, but what in all that's holy is the rest of this abomination?

The only real issue here is they used canned mushrooms. Well they should have sauteed them too. The only flavor is going to be watery cheese.

It's just chapati ( Indian food) with cheese and mushrooms ans some seasoning. Im guessing to be cooked after making it into a roll in pan, for kids.. nor too bad

If it was mozzarella cheese it might actually be good with some marinara. American cheese causes me migraines.

To be fair, a few years into the zombie apocalypse, looting some unspoiled tortillas and fake cheese and a can of mushrooms would be pretty great.

This looks like something my dad would have made when I was a kid. Except it would have been bread as the only tortillas we ever saw were the hard preformed ones.

I bet with some tweaking (fresh sauteed mushrooms with garlic, real cheese instead of American slices) this would be amazing

I’m vegan and you can totally use mushrooms as a sub for tacos, just not at all like this. Cook those mushrooms more and add seasoning and some homemade tomato sauce and maybe that would be edible.

This is actually not as bad as it sounds! It's quite common in the Netherlands. It's called "leverkaas" or literally, liver cheese. No clue why it's called "cheese" as there's no cheese in it at all!

Why not? It's probably just the flavor, not actual gum. I've had bubblegum flavored fudge before. Recently had jelly donut flavored, too!

Just a bit of a cooking problem, the outside should be a bit browner but nothing wrong here if you ask for a blue steak.
