Whoever said that "chivalry is dead" obviously hasn't heard about the newest relationship joke called "Miserable Men." It collects and posts funny memes and photos of the best husbands and boyfriends shopping with their significant others and the all-consuming agony they endure. Why? For what possible reason could a man spend hours sitting on a bench, no more comfortable than a thin pole while their ladies are on a shopping spree? For love, of course. Because you see, as much as these funny men despise going to the mall, they love their partners even more. As the famous song by Meatloaf goes 'I can do anything for love, even wait for you while shopping.'

Mensch. Nothing more attractive than a man who is not afraid to hold his wife's purse.
"Victory is yours", the sign says....apparently not for that guy. :D
is that a girl if so it is the guy shopping this time!!!!!!!!!
Wow. Abject misery and boredom in every frame. I am proud to say that I had never subjected my husband to "shopping". The poor b*stards.
I know some people will get mad at such a comment. For me, time spent with my love ones is too precious to just hand arround on some dirty stairs browsing social media. Thus, what is wrong with the couples to treat each other like this? Ignoring her and showing the boredom, and ignoring him while it apparently is too much. Just sad.
This is unfair, not all men hate shopping. Actually, my husband loves shopping and I'm the one who hates it. I don't sit around moping though, I push through because it's fun for him.
What is this all about? I've been married 25 years and my attitude is that if we are shopping for stuff we need for the house, presents for friends, stuff for the children, or stuff for you then you'd better be engaged and involved and not leave it all up to me and act like a martyr. If I'm just after stuff for myself why on earth would I want to take a third party? Makes no sense to me.
aw, i love my husband...when we shop, he'd rather walk with me and chat instead of sitting being bored...doesn't matter what store we go to <3
I have never understood this, are the women threatening them to come with them? Otherwise, just stay home! If your wife wants you to come, just say no!
That´s why I go shopping on my own. I like to see everything once and twice all over again just to make sure xD I´d rather be alone so I don´t have to see those faces.
That's why I'm always bringing a book when I go shopping! I usually find what I need in like 5 minutes(I'm that kind of a rare specimen) and spend the rest of my shopping trip reading or browsing through the book section of the shop if they have one.
Wow. What truly amazes me is that they all seem so well trained, like they are expecting a pat on the head and a "Whooo's a Good Boooy?" when their lady comes back. And even if she will never, ever come back, not even one of them will ever budge from the chosen waiting spot. Maybe there will be some good food later on ... Lick around the mouth - oups, I am so sorry, got carried away
Women's clothing stores don't provide enough chairs. My back starts to hurt from standing around outside the fitting room waiting while she tries on a dozen outfits.
I used to play a fun game with my friend called "Scenes from the mall." We'd pick two shoppers at a distance talking to each other and pretend what they were talking about. We'd give them God awful voices and scenarios like they were looking for a new dress because they just had Chipotle and crapped themselves. Sometimes we'd try to out do each other and laughed our asses off. Definitely helped pass the time and enjoyed ourselves.
While some of these guys look like they are waiting for someone to shop, there is no indication that all of them are. Some look like airports or other waiting rooms. With that said, our mall has a 'Husband Daycare'...a sports bar where the appetizer menu is 3x larger than any of the food they offer.
Maybe I'm looking too deep into this, but maybe it's best for a husband to stay home and let his wife go shopping by herself. It's pretty disrespectful as a wife to have your husband carry your hand- and shopping bags for you while you're out doing something that's clearly not enjoyable for him.
I'm not sure why your husband would go shopping with you? Who wants the husband tagging along? Also, I could not, under any circumstances, fall asleep in a mall?
Shopping is my private time... It is not a lot of time, but it is only mine :) I don't want to force my husband to wait for me. When I tried it, he was right beside me and ask every 5 minutes when we will go home. I don't want it anymore :D I like my privacy and calmness when I go shopping.
And this is why I never allowed my husband to ever go shopping with me. And I never go shopping with him to outdoor equipment stores.
Next time wives who have to accompany hubby to hardware, auto parts and gun stores. The pain is equally distributed.
I can shop, but not like my one Guy Friend can shop! (and he's not even gay)...
If I ever remarry, I will refuse to hold the bags while she shops.
My husband is lucky! I'm the same as he is when it comes to shopping. Get in, get what we came for, and get out!
I'm not really like this, I don't really like shopping, or at least, I only go when I want something specific. I do remember 'parking' him once or twice when I wanted to look at some clothes and he wanted a cig or similar. I once parked him on an empty bench and came back to find him in between two bubbly old women, laughing and joking. I thought, ay up, he's scored. :-)
I have never seen women slumped around like that with their mouths open, men are idle
There's a lot of very tired people in this world. That's what I got out of these pics.
im a girl. everytime i go shopping with my mom the first thing i look for is a chair. if there's no chair i curse in my mind and silently think that my life is miserable.
Why on earth would you want to take your husband shopping with you? To IKEA, sure. But clothes shopping? No thanks.
There was a whole play about a group of men hiding in a "man sanctuary" in the mall
According to statistics, 85% of all retail purchases are done by women. Doesn't matter if men earn more, they aren't the ones spending it. Just look around the interior of any mall, all the stores pander to women. The men are reduced to the status of mall mules, there to carry stuff.
I think a lot of those men need to invest in nasal surgery...so many with their mouth's wide open gasping for air! Some of them look like they could shake the rafters!!
Looks to me like it was time to call the coroner on some of these poor souls. RIP
I don't understand why they have to drag their men along with them in the first place... Just go shopping alone or with a female friend.
Where is the guy standing against the wall holding a bunch of flowers surrounded by shopping bags at his feet?
this is just too funny hahahah you can tell they are thinking "this is bullsheit" "the things i do to keep her" "please shoot me"
Why has no one yet invented a husbands day care in shopping malls? With large sofas, armchairs, game consoles, newspapers, crossword puzzles, books, coffee bar, cocktail bar (non - alcoholic), darts, billiard, etc
These pictures could have been taken in any shopping mall anywhere in the world and they would all look the same. The greater majority of men(Such as myself) just aren't into shopping and believe "It fits Quick buy it and lets leave"...But I have to admit My wife is worth it. she sure puts up with a lot more then I do
I would head to tools or gadgets or books and agree to meet somewhere. If she didn't show up, I'd track her down and "help" her choose her lingerie, shoes, dress. whatever. Wanna p**s of sales staff? Do a running commentary on their choices on your wife. Tell her to make certain the receipts are in the bag, so the goods can be returned and replaced with a competitor's line. My best was cutting a potential all day trip down to 3 hours. 30 years of sales experience and knew where all the buttons were to push.
I have to say Who ARE these people that shop like this?? Is it a city thing as I, and none of my friends have ever done anything like this. I buy Exactly what's needed end of story. No faffing about. One item and gone. Couldn't any of these guys go and do shopping themselves? It's clear that some of them are waiting for wives/gf with buying childrens clothes, they need to get helping. I find it really hard to believe that this actually happens, I just thought it was ridiculous fiction in films 😏
I'm so glad I hate shopping - except when I date a man who is a shopper (yeah I know - I have a type - I think I need to change that) or accompany one of my girls to shop. I SO know how those poor men feel.
Men go to the store for very specific reasons - for example, I am about to head for Menard's to buy to buy some epoxy, a can of WD40, window washer fluid and a wax ring for the downstairs toilet. That's it - out to Menard's and back - not "shopping" as in the feminine sense where I would meander around the store for something that I didn't intend to buy before I entered the store. Just one of the multitude of differences between the genders....
I don't understand why you would take your guy with you while shopping ? It would ruin my fun if I knew he's waiting for me and I'm going to pay it with his bad mood afterwards (He's REAAAALLLLY good at ruining my fun, just by not sharing it !) Besides, if he's not involved (aka, if the shopping isn't for him or the home), why on Earth would he need to be there ? He has better things to do than sitting there doing nothing (he can do that at home and his mood, hence mine, will be much better !) I'm a grown woman, I can pay my shopping myself, drive myself there and carry my own bags, so what's the effing point ???!!
Men: they can fall asleep anywhere. It's amazing. I could never fall asleep in a brightly lit, crowded mall on some strange chair surrounded by strange people. Never.
Ah, the bad plight of good men. It takes a special guy to brave the shopping adventure with sale slaying woman. Bless thier little tired grumpy hearts.
Why does these mall not have a bar? That could make a lot of money....
If you both enjoy an activity, then both do it together. If only one of you enjoys an activity, then do it by yourself, and let your loved one stay home, or go do something that he or she enjoys.
He's a Very Good Boy! Surprisingly heartwarming. These are some patient men.
Women don’t always enjoy trudging round the shops either, but somebody has to buy the furniture, upholstery, kitchen equipment, family’s clothing, children’s school supplies, toys, presents, cards, bedding, and all the other stuff that makes a ho,e. Because it certainly won’t be many of these lazy guys.
I don't even like shopping. This is pretty shityy. If it's really that bad then talk to your wife about it. It's a good thing lesbians don't have that problem
